My Mother in Law moved to Prior Bank in November from assisted living. Since then, she has improved with her walking, has put on weight and is eating well. She joins in the activities and is very happy and settled. Prior Bank has a very welcoming feel about it and nothing is too much trouble. We
are informed of any new health issues promptly and updated regularly on her existing ones. The staff are excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

From the first day we brought our mum to Prior Bank she was welcomed and cared for. She loved to join in activities particularly dancing and singing! As she deteriorated she was always treated with respect and in her last hours treated with dignity and love. Mum often had visitors from across the
country and we were always welcomed and offered tea and biscuits. Thank you so much to everyone for the love and support shown to mum and to us as her family

Our mum moved to Prior Bank in July 2023 . She lived there for 2 1/2 years . All the staff ( ranging from cooks, care staff and management) showed support, love and care to her. Some staff went above and beyond with their care to mum and to us as a family during the time she lived at Prior Bank. It
always felt so welcoming. Throughout Mum's time the support really was outstanding especially at the end of life care from care staff and the Chaplin to both mum and to us as a family. Also since our mum has passed away the support hasn't stopped from the Chaplain. It was a very difficult time for us as a family to deal with our mum having dementia and make the hard decision for mum to live in a care home but Prior Bank's support and care got us through it . I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home.

Since mum moved into prior bank in November 2025 she has improved no end. I was at breaking point at home and couldn't offer 24 hours of care myself along with looking after my family. It was such a hard decision but the staff reassured me and have been so supportive during the transition.
I feel
so grateful to everyone there that cares for mum and treats her like a family member. I can go anytime to visit and don't have any restrictions. It's a truly calm and relaxed environment which is exactly what mum needs.
I'm eternally thankful to everyone there. You all saved me and mum.

Prior Bank offers an excellent level of care with friendly and attentive staff. There is always a good level of communication on health updates and other matters.
Prior Bank is a safe environment for residents which offers reassurance to families.

My mum has dementia it's great to know she is safe and cared for. The staff are all so kind and helpful and there are so many forms of entertainment for the residents. The home is like a home from home very clean and comfortable. The rooms are lovely. My sister and I are so pleased we chose Anchor

My Mum was a new resident in October 25. The staff, from management through, have been fabulous. The food is excellent and Mum is always helped when she's eating. The activities are engaging and keep Mum mobile. All in all a great decision to send her to Prior Bank.

Mum has settled well into Prior Bank. All the staff there are very attentive and caring. The administration of arranging for Mum to move to Prior Bank was managed smoothly and easily with the team assisting all the way through. We are very happy with Mum's care and having Mum settled is a big
relief.

My mum is a long term resident at Prior Bank and I believe that the staff and management make a great team.Their care and kindness are second to none I have the utmost confidence in them. Prior Bank is always spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are considerate and friendly to residents and
relatives alike. Mum certainly enjoys the home cooked food. Unfortunately she's now not able to take part in the activities provided
but she did enjoy them when she was able. She always enjoys the musical entertainment given by various visiting singers and musicians. I have in the past recommended Prior Bank to a friend who was looking for care and I would not hesitate to do so again.

We are very pleased with my partner's mother's experience. We kept her at home as long as possible, with support from a home-care service. However, as her dementia progressed, she became depressed and was reluctant to get out of bed or engage with visitors. Since coming to Prior Bank, she has
brightened up considerably, is much more mobile and alert and seems content. She engages with staff and other residents, and generally talks positively about the care. We visit several times a week and see many kind interactions between staff and residents.
The decor at the home could be improved - the small sitting room looks especially neglected: machinery needs screening and more cupboard space is needed to tidy away the activities.
Incontinence products are stacked in clients' bedrooms in cardboard boxes: unsightly and not respectful. More cupboards and more frequent ordering could improve this.
Football memorabilia / Hallowe'en skeleton maybe not appropriate for homely feeling?

I was looking to place my husband in a care home for his worsening dementia. From the moment I arrived at Prior Bank, it felt 'right', the warmth, care and atmosphere was like being hugged! The professional care and attention is amazing, but the empathy and warmth shine through. I highly recommend
this lovely home.

Mum took up residency at Prior Bank at the beginning of July. The management team were super helpful and efficient throughout the transfer process. All of the staff that I have dealt with have been lovely. The building is very homely and clean.

My wife entered Prior Bank in July 2021due to her alzeimers Dementia worsening.I and indeed my family did not expect her to last more than a few months,It is entirely due to the dedicated care and love she is receiving from all staff . She is not only still a resident but in better health , natural
effects of her condition allowing,than when she became a resident 4yrs ago.

The staff at Prior Bank are brilliant! They are kind, caring, hard-working and committed to treating the residents with compassion and dignity. The food looks tasty and meal times are a real social highlight for the residents. Staff make an effort to celebrate special days at every opportunity.
A highlight for us was the pastor (who is also a shift leader). He led church services every week, and was amazing when my mother-in -law passed away - he led the funeral (which was lovely because he knew her well) and was a great comfort to us all.

My Mum moved to Prior Bank in June 2023. Whilst her dementia has deteriorated since then, the staff have shown continued care and compassion. We are updated as and when necessary and can call at anytime for a chat with the home manager.
Their hard work and dedication doesn't go unnoticed and we
appreciate all they do to keep Mum safe and well looked after.

Really can't say how good Prior Bank is. The kind and caring staff and management at PB have really helped mum settle in so quickly, and helped us feel we made the right decision when the time came and mum couldn't live on her own anymore. She has only been there since February and she has made some
new friends and gets on really well with the staff. Plenty of varied activities for residents. Mum joins in with the activities regularly. Good to have a quiet lounge for when residents need a break from the every day hustle & bustle. Also nice for visitors to sit and chat quietly. As for PB itself the staff are amazing, the cleanliness levels are excellent, rooms are well kept. Cannot praise the staff enough. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending PB to anybody.

My mother has been at Priot Bank for over 18 months now. She is very happy. I feel really blessed that she is at Prior Bank. It gives me a peace of mind when I am not with my mum.
The staff are amazing , the food is very good and there is a very high standard of cleanliness.

My aunt went into Prior Bank full time on the 3rd April, all the staff made her very welcome and eased her transition into care.
Myself and my sister feel that my aunt is now well cared for, treated with respect and is starting to look more her former self.

Mum has been at Prior Bank for four years now. She is well cared for, always well turned out and well fed. She says that the food is great. The staff are kind and encouraging and respond to needs. Staff and management are responsive to concerns. There are plenty of activities, including church
services, which are appreciated. Many events are commemorated and celebrated. Prior Bank is well cared for and well presented. We are confident that mum is safe and well monitored.

All the staff at Prior Bank care home are always helpful and friendly. I feel I can approach them and talk to them about anything that may be concerning me. Similarly, they will get in touch if there is anything they need to talk to me about. They were especially helpful on my mum's 90th birthday
last November, providing sandwiches and drinks in the quiet room.
