Staff and nurses are caring, polite and always happy. Great communication on daily updates and well being as yet nothing is too much when asked for.

My parents have been residents in this care home for over six months. I highly recommend it. It is extremely well run. All the staff at every level are very well trained, kind to the residents, professional, skilled and fully committed to the welfare of residents. Managers, nurses, carers, domestic
staff, activity coordinators and reception staff all greet people with a smile, exude warmth, communicate well with residents and the family and show flexibility in how they work. Overall an excellent care home, thoroughly recommended.

I feel that my father was treated with respect and dignity. I found the staff very friendly and supportive. It was very comforting knowing that my father was being looked after so well and always seeing the same friendly faces. We were always made to feel welcome and felt safe in the knowledge that
my father was in a nice, clean, peaceful environment. Thank you to all the staff at Norfolk House.

At my first contact, they explained to me the process and what to expect. I was directed to their social media page to explore the home and was sent emails as examples of what the contract etc. would look like. All the questions I asked were answered, if the person I spoke with didn't know the
answer they found somebody who could answer and got back to me. It was a bit overwhelming when my Aunt first arrived as there was a lot of form filling and various people all wanting different things, but once that was all done it was more relaxed and we were able to settle my Aunt in more leisurely. I wasn't able to visit my Aunt over the two weeks she was there, but family who did, all reported that the home, staff and food were all very good and there was plenty of activities planned. My Aunt's own at home carers also visited and fed back that the home was well run and staff were very attentive. I would have no worries if my Aunt wanted to stay after her respite care.

My mother has been a resident of Norfolk House for the past 18 months. Over that time, her health has improved, and the level of care and stimulation has been much higher than when she lived in her own house. I am impressed with how attentive the care staff and nurses are to her medical needs. I no
longer have to worry about her as I know she is getting the best support possible. Thank you to all the staff who contribute to her care.

Norfolk House continues to deliver kind and professional care to my parents-in-law. Both are frail and their physical and emotional needs both complex and challenging. We are grateful to the staff who look after them so well and always with a smile.

Norfolk House became a home from home for my dad, who had stayed for respite a couple of years ago, and later received end of life care there. The staff were absolutely amazing; so caring, thoughtful, funny, kind and professional. Dad was always treated with respect and dignity, and he, and his room
were always kept very clean. The room was so welcoming, fully equipped with all he needed, and was a comfortable space for family to spend time with him. The garden was such a beautiful, tranquil space for both residents and their families and friends to spend time in. At a very difficult time, it became a calming sanctuary for us to be in. When dad came out of hospital for the last time, and came back to Norfolk House, we knew it was the right place for him to come back to. Thank you so much for making dad so comfortable, and content in his final days.

My sister is a highly intelligent woman and staff have come to recognise that she can and on occasion, be stubborn. carers do listen to her now as she knows her own needs very well. She is very settled and happy here after 5 years despite several traumatic events. It is important to her that staff
are very respectful for her. Thank you, carers.

I have visited my elderly friend almost every day since she has had to receive nursing care, I find the home to be well presented and the care staff to be very attentive to residents personal need. There is always an activity each day for the residents to join in if they wish, there is nothing
better than knowing that you friend is in safe hands.

My brother has been at Norfolk House for almost a year following a stroke. He is immobile and need hoisting when being transferred. The staff (all of them) are all very attentive & polite & are always engaging with clients & visitors with a smile. A good sign is there doesn't appear to be a turnover
of carers, so they are familiar with clients & visitors/family & learn their likes and dislikes.
The activities co-ordinators are excellent so I am contacted by the nurse whenever they feel necessary & I am equally I am able to contact the staff with ease.

My parents-in-law arrived at Norfolk House 4 weeks ago dispirited by poor care at their previous home and not confident about the future. From the start, however, it's been obvious that NH operates effectively. The nurses are professional & proactive, the carers are kind and competent, the cleaning
staff thorough, and the food (I'm told!) delicious. The atmosphere in the home is friendly and resident-centred. We are feeling very reassured with everything we've experienced so far & can understand why NH came highly recommended to us by families of other residents.

My Mother was a resident of Norfolk House for almost 7 years.
We have always been happy with her care. The staff have looked after her and taken care of all her needs exceptionally well.
As her care needs developed they upped their level of care. Always at a very high standard.
I think they
helped her to make it to the amazing age of 97!
She has recently passed away. And her end-of-life care was dealt with kindness and consideration for her and myself. (Her daughter).
Myself and my family have always been made to feel welcome at the home.

My experience with Norfolk house has been nothing but positive. The safety, communication, person-centred care, activities, cleanliness, facilities and food quality were all of an exceptional standard. The staff are well trained in all aspects and also genuinely compassionate kind and responsive.
My grandmother got to know and trust the staff who advocated for her and picked up signals very quickly if she became unwell. She thought the care home was her flat which just shows how safe and comfortable she felt. It was nice to be able to feel reassured she was being looked after so well. In particular, the end-of-life care to my grandma afforded her dignity, safety and comfort. In the last week of her life, I was there a lot the staff were very kind and caring towards myself and my grandmother. The care and support provided was consistently excellent the whole time.

On arriving I find very poor parking for visitors and deliveries on entering I find the home very pleasing. The staff are so helpful. The food I find is very good. But sometimes not very warm. The choice is very good, also there is always a cup of tea on hand. My partner's room is okay but could
have a few pictures on the wall to brighten the room up. Overall experience is a pleasant experience to visit.

The end-of-life care for my (step) father-in-law was at a high level. The first-floor staff, both day and night, were kind, attentive and went above board to make sure he was always comfortable and they maintained his dignity at all times. The care and consideration for the family going through a
hard time watching a loved one deteriorate was also so wonderful - many cups of tea were offered!
Thank you!
