View Full Details of Barrington Lodge Care HomeMy mother is very happy here.
From my first visit to this care home I found it to be bright, airy and "alive". It has the most welcoming atmosphere. The staff are outstanding - the most cheerful and friendly individuals doing such a tough job - some having worked there for many, many years. They treat residents with compassion, understanding and respect whilst also supporting their relatives.
The team went above and beyond ensuring that the care that I received whilst in respite and going through rehabilitation was absolutely amazing. The attention to detail was outstanding as I was unable to get through the basic of tasks but by the time I was discharged through their support I was able to return home to my family. The staff were always very personable and made me feel part of the Barrington community taking part in activities.
I was admitted to Barrington lodge for respite as I had a broken leg and was unable to return home straight from hospital. I found my time there to be excellent. The staff are attentive, relaxed and helpful. Overall (apart from the broken leg) I had a great stay with everyone at Barrington Lodge. A big thanks to all of you who give so much.
Very poor experience. Lack of suitable equipment ie pressure cushion, table on wheels. Mum had to eat meals bent over a small side table for first week! Wardrobe could not be used as chair between it and bed prevented it opening. No social interaction in first week and despite my repeated requests for involvement in activities this only happened once in 3 weeks. My mum felt like a prisoner! Despite there being some friendly, caring staff I would definitely not recommend this home! I moved my mum to another home, which is completely different and she is content there
I felt safe in the home after my discharge from hospital, I was comfortable. Good hygiene carried out always had fresh clothes, plenty to eat and drink of a very high quality. Also care of relatives services set up well for return home. I was sorry that due to my condition I couldn't take part in activities. Staff always friendly and cheerful. Thank you.
Mum was looked after very well by the carers at Bishop Barringtonton Lodge. She improved in health and cognitive behaviour (after her fall) with the care given by the staff at Barrington Lodge.
Very happy with the care. My uncle is only new to the home and is well looked after by all staff. It is a very friendly home and residents are always happy, my uncle has settled into his new home really well.
Fantastic place for my dad knowing he is getting the care he so deserves from hardworking, caring staff that go above and beyond.
Extremely competent, cheerful and efficient staff. I have gained a lot of help from everyone.
This is the best care home that anyone should come to because every nurse looks after us, every one of them is looking after all the patients who are ill. We get lovely meals every day also. Treats, given a lot.
My mother enjoyed her stay, there were no problems with her medication as she takes a lot of tablets. She felt safe and happy in her stay and the staff were terrific.
My father has been living in Barrington Lodge for almost 3 years and the staff treat him very well. He likes them and they seem to like him. The staff are very friendly all the time. I know he is safe.
Lovely place for my mam to stay where I know I can leave her to be well looked after. Nice, friendly home, excellent management. I know I'd have no worries leaving my mam in their hands.
My brother is a resident at Barrington Lodge Care Home following a stroke. At first, I think he struggled to settle however now is happy and has made friends, especially with other residents and staff. He is overall happy and well looked after.
Fantastic, everyone has made Barrington a home from home for my mum. They have all shown so much love and compassion, and we can't thank you enough. On her recent trip to the hospital, she kept telling everyone she wanted to go back "home" to see her friends. That is the highest compliment she could give!
I have found the time my mother has been here very good. I can not fault the staff and what they do for my mother. The food is excellent and you have a good range of choices. The bedrooms are kept clean and bathroom. So on the whole, I am very happy with the care my mam has received.
Staff seem helpful. Sometimes the residents says the food is a bit bland but otherwise, things seem ok. Some staff, in particular, seem very good.
The staff are very caring and supportive to both my husband and myself. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. My husband has improved tremendously under their excellent care and encouragement. I can't thank them enough for their support to both of us.
Lovely team of carers, thank you all for helping my Mam. The room was very nice. Visiting was great and the team was very accommodating. Mam is very pleased to be home but misses the team. Would recommend Barrington Lodge.
