I have just visited my cousin for the first time at Simmins crescent. I was so impressed with the home. It had a warm and friendly feeling, it was like home from home. Her bedroom was personalised and individually decorated. The manager and staff team were really knowledgeable about my cousins support needs. My cousin is non-verbal but how the team communicated with her was impressive. I observed the staff with the other residents too during my visit and i can honestly say that that the care i witnessed was so dignified and respectful. They had an additional building that had a fantastic art room and sensory room where my cousin could go for some one to one time with her support worker. I walked away from the visit with peace of mind, knowing she is very well looked after.
The care provided at this home is excellent. The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely care about the residents' wellbeing. The environment is clean, welcoming, and well-run, giving real peace of mind to families. I am very grateful that my grandmother is in good hands. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for compassionate and professional care.
Unable to give a proper review for Kara Health Care as they only became the new provider 2 months ago. We are all looking forward to working with them to improve all aspects of life for the residents of Simmins Crescent.
I am an occasional visitor to one of the bungalows at Simmins crescent and tend to bring my son with me to greet the service users at 2 simmins. Simmins has a homely and welcoming environment and from what I have experienced the staff seem to adapt to their roles well and have great bonds with their individuals within their care.
I came on the 3rd of January to visit Julie a resident I use to care for 4years ago, a lot has changed since I worked there but staff were absolutely great and very welcoming, offered a hot drink by staff, Julie looked very happy and content and very well cared for still and overall a homely and welcoming place to be.
I am very happy with the care and support receiving by my daughter in the Simmins Crescent. All staff are very good and communicate with us very well.
My sister has been a resident here for over 12 months. We have nothing but praise for the home. The Management & Staff are very caring and kind and everyone is friendly and approachable. There is a lovely atmosphere at the home and I feel very happy and lucky that my sister is well looked after, safe and happy here.
My sister, unfortunately, has not had the best experiences in earlier care homes. This home, she is clean, safe and well looked after. The unfortunate pandemic has curtailed activities for her and contact with family as for everyone else. Can't say about her meal plan as I don't visit during meals. Also, she does need some encouragement to participate in some activities.
My friend has been well cared for, over the years I've been visiting him, and he seems very happy there. We have taken him out on a regular basis since 2005 when his mother died unexpectedly and will carry on doing this as soon as conditions allow us to do so.
