View full details of Manley Court Care HomeMy mum has been staying here for a few months now, and I cannot fault any of the staff or facilities. I have peace of mind knowing my mum is here, which means a lot for anyone in this situation. I especially feel I could raise any concerns if I had any, to either Monica, Eda or Innocence. They are all great.
My mother is a resident of "Hibiscus" and has settled in well without any problems. This is due to the staff who treat her with respect and dignity in a warm and friendly way. The staff are well managed by Marcia, who is an amazing person, with a lovely personality, who treats residents, staff and visitors in an engaging and professional way. Her wide knowledge of the caring business keeps everything running smoothly. PS - Manu, who also looks after mother, is dedicated and good with her.
Very friendly staff, Nan seems very happy. Which makes me happy.
My partner has been here for 7 years. I noticed the nursing has been improved a lot more and the maintenance and the food. I never encountered a problem with the staff they were all nice, and the administration is so helpful when dealing with paper work for my partner. Hope you carry on with the good work, and more importantly, for the future, in order to have an excellent Nursing Home.
Everything is very good, lovely polite staff and my sister is well cared for.
The staff is brilliant, they take care of the patients with attentive care.
This is Mum's 2nd care home, the first was disastrous so my trust level was at zero when she first arrived in June. The staff at Manley Court have changed all that. Mum is safe, happy and flourishing. They are not only supporting Mum but us as a family too and we couldn't be happier.
We were initially sceptical to have mum admitted to Manley Court as she'd had the most awful experience at a previous non-Bupa home. However, after a visit to the home and meeting some of the staff we decided to give it a go. We are so pleased we did. Mum has settled so very well, her room is lovely and the unit she is on; Primrose is so quiet. The staff are kind and caring and very attentive and even make sure dad is alright when we take him to visit. Mum has also made a couple of friends amongst the other residents. She's eating really well as the food is varied and nutritious and has put on a little bit of weight which for our mum is amazing. It has turned out to be the perfect place for mum and we are so impressed with everything about it. Thank you to all the staff for the exceptional work you do.
My brother was admitted to Manley Court from hospital. Despite it being officially out of hours, he was accepted into their care. My initial anxiety about him going into care as a vulnerable adult with dementia and Down Syndrome, who was at the end of his life, was quickly dispelled. The staff were very caring, and the home itself was clean, and did not smell of urine like others I have visited. He died peacefully and with dignity. Thank you to everyone from nursing to admin and cleaners. Especially the nursing team.
My mother is on Hibiscus and she enjoys her time here. The activities keep her active and the staff are a joy and very helpful.
Very nice and friendly staff, loads of fun activities for the residents. Also is very clean and I'm very happy to know for sure my nan is being cared for properly. The care home is also very safe and secure with codes to get through the door or lift
I find all the staff to be helpful and friendly, even on their busiest days. My mother is treated very well, is always clean and tidy. My mother enjoys all her meals and eats/drinks very well. There are regular activities + events. The unit manager, nurse and all the carers ensure that the family is kept up to date with our mother's progress at all times. A huge thank you to all the staff.
My sister was put in home in December 2024, from hospital + was given the best of care which has carried on ever since. When I visit at lots of different times she is always clean tidy + her room is the same. All the staff are loving + are always very nice + helpful to me if I need to ask anything. I wish my sister didn't have to be there but I'm happy for the care she always gets.
It has been a year since my brother-in-law had to move into Manley Court, when he first moved arrived at the care home, he was in a bit of a sorry state, a good few health issues, bed-ridden and confused. One year he is a different person, he looks so much better, healthier, is now able spend time sitting in a lovely padded adjustable chair, more importantly he is happy, settled and in a safe environment. I would like to give a big thank your too a particular member of staff and her Team for the patience they have shown him, the great care they have provide, without their help, support understanding he would definitely not look like he does now, today was a prime example, before we arrived her and team who take care of his needs on a day to day basis , had decorated his room with happy birthday banners, presented him with a cake and sang happy birthday, the daily task they have to undertake is not easy and yet they took the time to put a smile on his face well done Manley Court.
I am especially pleased with the attention my cousin was given and surprised at the presence and care taken with the activities the residents were invited to join. My cousin only came here on the 3rd of December 2024 from a care home she has been in for many years. (She has been in care all her life). She settled so well and quickly. The staff are also careful and the activities are a real surprise. She is really happy to join with the other residents and the caring staff. The food is excellent and a great improvement on what she has been used to. The activities ladies must be complemented on their imagination and ideas.
My Dad stayed here for a period of respite (2 weeks) funded by the local authority. This home appeared to be struggling with staff shortages meaning my dad was left alone a lot of the time. During his stay, he was not supported to wash regularly meaning when he returned home he smelled unclean and looked unkempt. The wing Dad was placed in was difficult for him to cope with due to some other residents being very distressed due to their advanced conditions i.e. dementia, which made him frightened and struggled to be left. My Mum struggled to receive contact from the home to get updates on how Dad was doing. He had better respite elsewhere and would not send him back here for respite or care.
On my visiting days I normally arrive early to help assist with Mum as it makes me feel more connected with her and she with me although she is non-verbal. The staff are very nice at all times even when extremely busy. I am glad I chose this care home as residence for my mother.
We are surprised and impressed with the accommodation at Manley Court Nursing Home, more importantly at the care my brother-in-law is receiving. The staff are brilliant, they undertake unpleasant tasks but still they continue to smile and are extremely patient. Each time we have visited, he's always well cared for, they even managed to cut his hair and beard, he looked a different person. We mentioned he loved his garden and would spend hours outside, when we went back to visit him, the staff had taken the trouble to move his bed so he could see very clearly into the garden. We came away feeling very reassured he is in safe hands and well cared for.
Our family friend was transferred to Manely Court Care Home last month. Following several visits, I have been very impressed with the friendly, caring staff and the welcoming environment. The rooms are bright and clean and security for the dementia unit is well-controlled. The management have been helpful and with a lovely personal touch, a birthday cake was made for our friend on his birthday. Now much more reassured regarding his care. Thank you.
Nurse in charge and all carers/girls are very good.
