View Full Details of Chapel FieldsMum initially came to Chapel Fields in July 2025 for respite care as my brother was away in Thailand & my sister had major surgery. As mum's care needs increased it was difficult to care for her at home as the care providers at that time felt she was unsafe to leave alone. Mum became withdrawn & slept a lot but since coming to Chapel Fields she has gained a new lease of life. She is so well cared for here and the programme of activities keeps her engaged & entertained. Mum loves to participate in the quizzes (taking over as question master at times) & loves playing games, singing & socialising so I feel I have my Mum back again. Mum's every need is catered for and the food is amazing so Mum has even regained her appetite. Five stars, excellent care.
I cannot praise Chapel Fields enough. My mother was welcomed from the moment when she arrived. The staff are so professional and caring, mum is very well looked after, at the moment mum is in respite but as a family we are looking for long term at Chapel Fields. Thank you to all the team from management , admin and staff and of course the catering, homemade cooking is the best!
Excellent.
We visited your care home for the first time this week. We were so impressed with the overall care and professionalism shown by all the staff. The welcome the ambience and the genuine care shown towards the residents was amazing. The best care home we have ever visited - and we have some years of experience with our parents and friends. Congratulations Chapel Fields!
Fabulous care home. Residents are exceptionally looked after. Staff throughout are so very welcoming to us visitors. Always enjoy visiting my friend at Chapel Fields.
Mum has been at Chapelfields for a week now. What a difference a week makes. From the moment we arrived at Chapelfields we had a warm welcome from all staff, they couldn't have made the move easier. She has a lovely room with ensuite. The home is clean and the care from staff are outstanding. The activities has brought mum back to life, Chapelfields had music week this week and mum has really enjoyed it, she smiled today and I've not seen her smile for a long time and singing and dancing WOW. Thank you Chapelfields you really are outstanding in everything you do.
My father came into the care home in January, initially for respite. The care he received from everyone was absolutely outstanding. When his condition deteriorated the nursing care was second to none. As a family ,the care and support we received, when my father died, was so empathetic and compassionate. I can't recommend Chapel Fields highly enough.
My mum moved into Chapel Fields with dementia, it was a very distressing time for us all but the staff at Chapel Fields were so kind and supportive from the start. They made a very difficult move bearable, we could ring or call in at any time. She enjoyed lovely meals, her clothes were always immaculate and clean on every day. Her hair was always styled which was so important to her. She enjoyed music therapy very much and was always keen to join in various activities despite her dementia. She had a very strong Christian faith which was nurtured the whole time she was there with regular services and every religious occasion celebrated. The last weeks of her life the staff made her so comfortable and let me and my sister stay with her the whole week. They we so gentle and kind and very respectful. My dad was also in Chapel Fields for a shorter period and also spent his final days there. Again, he was so well looked after in a beautiful clean room and again we stayed with him and were treated so kindly. We will always be grateful in particular to 3 staff members. Our experience and the care they gave to our parents is something we will always treasure.
My father was in Chapel Fields for the last 9 months of his life. I think it's a lovely care home, some of the staff members really got to know my dad, some found it harder to communicate with him. He had to have 1:1 care for the final 4 months and it was extremely reassuring to know he was being so closely monitored. The management team were helpful and supportive when we applied for continuing healthcare funding (based on clinical need). I tasted the food numerous times and it was generally good, especially the Sunday roast! The staff were helpful and I got to know some of them quite well. The only one negative experience I had was on the day my father died, I have emailed my feedback about that to the management, although am awaiting a response. On the whole, I would have no hesitation in recommending Chapel Fields to anyone who is considering it, and if I had responsibility for any more family members (which fortunately I don't) I wouldn't hesitate to move them in too.
My aunt has been a resident at Chapel Fields Care Home for 2 years. The nursing staff have been excellent in caring for her medical needs. She has always been treated with dignity. Her room is due to be decorated and refurbished in the next few months. Activities excellent and good choice of food on the menu.
The staff are welcoming and wonderful. I feel my aunt is in good hands.
Mum is happy in the home, the staff are lovely and the facilities good, although Mum doesn't use any of them. Any issues have been dealt with satisfactorily.
We as a family are confident that our mum is being well looked after at Chapel Fields.
Such a well-run home, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The care delivered is second to none and they go out of their way to meet the needs of all of the residents. The management team should be very proud.
My mother is well looked after and cared for. She is encouraged to attend activities and join in community outings. More information regarding changes in medical and personal care requirements needs to be passed on to family e.g. pressure sores and cleanliness.
My mother was left in her room alone, in a wheelchair with no safety pressure mat/alarm in place and the buzzer on the floor out of reach, feet plates up, no footwear, dirty duvet, a jug of water out of reach and no glass. The records from the daily report incorrect - the last comment was 4 hours previous saying 'settled in the lounge'. The nurse in overall charge was informed and not actioned. I alerted the staff. This took place after two formal complaints and meetings with management.
I visited a dear friend of mine today. I have to express how impressed I was. What a lovely, homely environment and the staff were so friendly and caring. It is such a relief and comfort to know my friend is being so well cared for. Thank you all so very much.
My partner has been in Chapel Fields Care Home for approximately three weeks. She is very settled, perfectly happy and is enjoying her time here. In the short time we have known Chapel Fields, we are happy with the services that they offer.
Sometimes dishes aren't suitable for residents' needs.
As a family, we were dreading putting our nan/mum into a home and not being able to see or spend time with her as much. But Chapel Fields Care Home has been so supportive, allowing us to visit as often as we would like and spend as much time with her as wanted. Nan always seems happy and is always busy joining in with all her activities. We never thought she'd settle as quickly as she has and we are so thankful for all the amazing staff at Chapel Fields and their kindnesses.
