View Full Details of Parkhouse GrangeMy mum has been at Parkhouse Grange for almost 2 years and overall I have been very satisfied with the care provided. I would say that 99.9% of staff are very caring, hardworking people. There are times however when there appears to be no carers present in the lounge areas. I don't think this is because they are taking regular breaks, but may be due to not enough staff being on duty. I do appreciate that they are in constant demand and carry out very challenging roles. I hope the staff are valued for their commitment and hard work which is evident.
Overall a good all round experience for my wife, probably been the best one she has stayed in in recent years. She was well looked after and enjoyed her stay. Many thanks to all the management and staff.
Both my parents moved in at the end of March. Mum has dementia and dad has lots of health issues, the last lot of health issues led to 24 hour care. I chose Park House Grange based on the friendliness of staff and their outward care projection. So far the care for both parents has been excellent. Dad's health has improved- mainly from a change in diet (as discussed with the GP) and the care from the staff. All of the staff and management are great, friendly and professional plus they keep you posted on a GP referrals and any issues.
Finding Parkhouse Grange Carehome has been such a relief for our family. It is exceptionally clean, the staff are amazing and they have supported Mum (and Dad, who visits every day) with kindness and understanding. I would reccomend it to anyone.
The staff at Parkhouse Grange are incredibly caring. They organise excellent events for residents and really go the extra mile to provide wonderful care.
I used to visit Parkhouse regularly to visit a late family member. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the friendly staff and the cleanliness. We were always greeted with a smiley face and a warm hello. Our relative was always happy and very well cared for, with activities, help with feeding, various parties etc. Management were always available for a chat if we ever needed to talk to them, both very knowledgeable and supportive. Thank you to all the staff at Parkhouse for your neverending care.
My husband came from another local care home where it was terrible, l found Parkhouse Grange in search of moving him which was July 2023. My husband did not walk or feed himself and after a short while with Parkhouse, the dedicated staff encouraged him, he can now stand and walk with the frame and feed himself.
My review is consistent, no matter when we visit, one to three visits a week. The first things that greet you when you walk through the door are friendly staff and cleanliness. You can see that the residents are clean and well cared for. The food is prepared to a good standard, the building is maintained and the grounds are kept to a decent standard. Our main comments are that our mother/mother-in-law is happy and safe. It is a relief to us just knowing this!
Very polite staff, always helpful and caring towards the residents, I couldn't ask for a more perfect home for my dad, they help him with a lot and it's an easily accessible home, if you need to speak to any of the staff members about something they are always on hand to help.
From the moment he came to Parkhouse Grange during the Covid lockdown, which meant handing him over at the door with his bags of clothes, he was treated with such kindness and care. He settled in so well and never once asked if he could go home. I cannot fault the care he received over nearly three years until his death in July this year. My family and I will always be grateful to the wonderful staff who were so supportive right up to the end.
My mother has been a resident at Parkhouse Grange for over a year. The staff are friendly, patient, and kind, helping Mum when she requires assistance and ensuring her needs are met. During her stay, Mum has had a fall requiring emergency medical assistance, which was dealt with efficiently and appropriately. The paramedics commenting that the correct procedure had been followed, which they found was not the case in all care homes. This provides reassurance that Mum is well looked after and cared for with dignity.
My Mother-in-law appears comfortable and relaxed when I visit her. She is at her most animated when there is music playing, which also engages the majority of residents. The activities and entertainment provide a different focus and my Mother-in-law has especially enjoyed the yoga and exercise sessions and the visiting singer. It is also nice to see activities are relevant and up to date. Overall the staff are kind, patient, and caring under what are often challenging circumstances.
I have always found on my visits the staff to be helpful and efficient. The rooms are kept clean and tidy and the food and drinks served while I was present, seemed very good.
My wife has been a resident of this care home since January 2020. From the day she went in, she has received the very best treatment and care from all members of staff. When there have been any issues the staff have kept me informed and I have been consulted at every stage. It was hard during the first Covid-19 lockdown not being able to see my wife but this was in the best interests of the residents and staff. Thankfully the vaccinations have helped to keep Covid at bay but there is no relaxation of the diligence of the care staff. I have no hesitation in recommending Parkhouse Grange when choosing a home for your loved ones.
My Mum has been a resident for several years now, I wouldn't dream of her being anywhere else and couldn't recommend the home highly enough to be looking for somewhere to care for their or a loved one's needs. Despite my Mum's deteriorating condition, she has always had her needs taken care of in a loving, caring environment.
My dad was there for nearly 4-months before he passed away, and we couldn't have ask for a better place. He always said that he was looked after ever so well, the home was clean and the staff were exemplary. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks to everyone for all your care during Dad's stay with you.
Good.
After only a few weeks we can see a difference in my Mother in Law, seems happy and chatty. Staff seem caring, plenty of interaction. Rooms are nice and kept clean and tidy. Washing comes back ironed and on coat hangers. A choice of meals too. Very happy.
My mother was cared for by the wonderful caring and professional PHG team. It was a warm bath for both her and our family. The attention to not only the physical and mental health of my mother, but also the emotional path she and our family must walk, was just wonderful. Above and beyond our expectations.
I was looking for a care home nearer to myself for my elderly mother who is in her 90's and widowed. She was suffering from early-onset dementia and short term memory loss and earlier in the year had collapsed at home and spent several weeks in hospital and rehabilitation care in a local care home. It was obvious that even with 4 daily visits from carers, she was not coping or eating and she complained of loneliness. Since moving to Parkhouse Grange her condition has improved and she is now very happy and cared for and safe.
