I want to say a great big THANK YOU ,to the brilliant staff of Islay unit for making Valentine's Day so meaningful for my husband & I.
You sure are an amazing team of people, who show what personal-centred care is all about.
Thank you for taking my husband to collect the Chinese, he felt so
valued, and pleased that he was able to do something for me.
One of the carer's put a table cloth on the table in my husband room & a vases if flowers. Honestly you could manufacture this.
Once again to each & everyone of you, your all worth your weight in gold.
Thank you Cumbrae Lodge, again for showing your high standard of care & attention .

Home is very welcoming. It is kept clean and warm. There is a choice of meals. Everyone is helpful and it seems nothing is too much trouble. My husband gets looked after well and his needs are full meet within the home.

My mum has lived in Cumbrae Lodge for just over a year. The unit set up is good for someone with dementia. Care home staff, and particularly staff on the unit, have been excellent. The home has fully met our expectations and my mum is significantly happier and more relaxed than she had been before
moving in.

Lovely staff providing great care in difficult circumstances. Took Dad in when others wouldn't due to his needs. So far we are very satisfied with his care. Home is kept very clean and rooms are always spotless,

Mum has only been in Cumbrae Lodge for 4 weeks from a long stay in hospital, but what a difference they have made ! From bed bound + completely dependant, mum is up in day room every day, having walked with support + showing a massive increase in independant eating+ drinking. Staff have shown mum
+ myself such kindness, + given me great confidence in their care in the way they have quickly picked up on mums needs + habits, ( mum is mostly non verbal) .

As a family member I happy to know that my sister is being well looked after with caring health cleanliness activities and general well being she has come a long since being a resident participating in activities whether it be yoga singing Wednesday afternoon coffee chat mixing with other residents
it make you feel happy they are well looked after Thankyou to all staff

Such peace of mind knowing that he is so well cared for.
I am consistently impressed by staffs' person centred approach to the people in their care. He is happy and contented within himself and this is due in so many ways to the positive, kind approaches used by caring and nursing staff.

My husband was a resident of Cumbrae Lodge Care Home for a year ending 2023. His care was exemplary. The staff were absolutely brilliant so caring, they did everything they could to make his time so caring, I cannot fault anything. Cumbrae Lodge is fantastic they supported me so much, it was like a
home from home. They always made me welcome, in fact I still visit twice a week because they made me feel so welcome. Sadly I have no family local, so the manager and staff are a lifeline.

Myself and our family are so happy with the care and help our family member receives. We have noticed how well he is looking, and the staff and management are very easy to approach. We are so grateful that a placement came up when it did.

Since my father in law has come to Cumbrae Lodge Care Home we have been so happy with his care and well being. It's a credit to all your staff in the Kyle suite. Always a warm welcome when entering or leaving the home that leads me to believe that all staff in your home are a credit to Cumbrae

The care home is very clean and tidy at all times all staff are very welcoming and friendly. There is great choice of good food and activities. My family member is always well presented and clean his bedroom is kept very tidy.

Cumbrae Lodge is a marvellous care home. From entering the building you are very aware of the friendly, happy atmosphere. Everyone you pass says hello and is friendly and welcoming. The staff caring for the residents know them all very well and all their little ways. They keep you fully up to date
with how my Dad has been and always seem to enjoy friendly chats with everyone in the room. The care home is always spotless and the bedrooms are cosy and inviting. There always seems to be loads of activities for the residents to take part in and enjoy. There are lovely gardens to enjoy when the weather is good. The manager is friendly and always has time for a chat and answers any questions I may have. The laundry, housekeeping and kitchen staff all do a great job. The happy atmosphere is all over the care home and really does make it a home from home.

My husband has been a resident in Cumbrae Lodge Care Home for three and a half years now and I am very happy with the care he has been receiving. All the care staff, activities team and management are really friendly and work hard to look after the residents. I have no hesitation in recommending
Cumbrae Lodge to anyone looking for a care home for a family member.

It’s paramount to me that my mum receives love and respect and care, and I feel she gets this in Cumbrae Lodge. I have a very good relationship with carers and management and we have a good understanding. I find everyone approachable and helpful in all aspects. The activity team are absolutely
fabulous and goes beyond their jobs, the entertainment is really good and take great time to involve, invite and inform the families of all their activities and events. We are all made most welcome and thoroughly enjoy these events.

I cannot fault the care that has been shown to my dad. The carers are very caring and listen to any concerns we have.
We are also very happy to hear that a particular member of staff has been appointed manager as she is an asset to the home.

My husband has been a resident in Cumbrae Lodge Care Home since September 2019. His care is second to none. I know he is safe and so well looked after by the dedicated staff, and that helps me a lot. It's so easy to keep in touch, and nothing is too much trouble. The Facebook page is wonderful and
really keeps you in touch with what's going on, and it's great to see everyone having a good time. It's lovely to see all the smiling faces. I'm so grateful to all the staff for the way they make the residents feel special.

Having been in the shielding group since March 2020 I had not seen my husband so was very concerned, as his initial treatment was atrocious. A change of management, along with some staff has made such a difference. I am able to speak to him by phone now and even had a face to face visit - 2m
distance - he looked very well, happy, content. The staff nurse (new) and carer workers are doing a great job now.

My husband has been in Cumbrae Lodge now for some years and I have never had cause to worry about any aspect of his provision.
The surroundings are lovely, warm and inviting and the decor is kept spotless and modern.
Staff are angels - every one of them and they are always so friendly, welcoming
and informative.
It is sad that my husband could no longer be cared for at home but I could not have asked for a better alternative.
I would give Cumbrae Lodge the highest accolade and have no hesitation in saying it has to be one of the best!
Well done everyone and a massive thank you from my daughter and me.
