Our beloved mum went into Chestnut Lodge on the 20th January 2026 and sadly passed away on the 4th February 2026. We knew this would be where she ended her days and she did so with respect and dignity.
Campion and his team are absolutely amazing - every staff member who we met were helpful,
friendly and cared for mum as if she was their own.
My sister and I spent many hours in the home with mum and we made so welcome and when mum passed with us at her side, the staff were as upset as we were.
Chestnut Lodge could not do enough for mum and it was totally the right choice for us as a family for her to pass peacefully there.
Thank you and mum - Rest in Peace xxx

My Dad went to Chestnut Lodge for a permanent placement when my Mum was struggling to care for him 24 hours a day. Sadly he passed away after four weeks due to his advanced dementia but the care he received from the first day to sadly his last was outstanding. Every member of the care team were
kind compassionate
and so so caring. As a family we could not have asked for anymore from Chestnut Lodge. We will be eternally
grateful to Katarzyna for everything she did for our Dad and us as a family to re-assure us and to keeping us informed every step of the way.
We will be eternally grateful.

I don't think there are words enough to express our gratitude to the wonderful staff at Chestnut Lodge. They treat mum as though she were part of their family. She is surrounded by gentle, smiling, supportive people who care for her wonderfully.

Chestnut Lodge is an excellently managed care home with caring, friendly and helpful staff. The residents, including my mother, are treated with kindness and respect. The staff are always very accommodating during any visits.

My husband came to Chestnut Lodge for respite and I was so impressed with the level of care, that I asked for him to be a full time resident. All the care staff and management team have treated my husband with care, kindness and respect and I would highly recommend Chestnut Lodge to anyone who was
having to put a loved one into care.

I found Chestnut Lodge a well organised home from the manager to all staff at the home. We as a family felt safe out late father was very well looked after. The staff/manager kept us, as the family well informed with the health updates etc. I would always recommend this home.

Chestnut Lodge was home to my Mother-in-law for eight years. The support for her and the family was excellent. Her final few weeks before she died were handled with great sensitivity and love. We will all be extremely grateful for making her passing from this life so stress-free and for being so
supportive to our entire family.

Attentive and caring staff on the second floor/Sinatra wing. Decent admin and communication. Overall, don't think Mother could be in a much better place - thanks to you all!

When my mum arrived at Chestnut Lodge, she was very confused and upset, we were met as we arrived by a member of staff. She calmed Mum down and took her for a tour around the home, which really helped, Mum came back much more relaxed.
It is a fantastic place with so many lovely people. The staff
and management are very caring and lovely to my mum and myself, this is the best thing we have done and we are so grateful.

Every time I fly back to England from Spain to Chestnut Lodge to visit my mum the staff have always been very welcoming, cheerful, helpful and always making sure I’m comfortable with my mum and the surroundings. My mum tells me she likes the staff and carers as they are very nice and kind to her all
the time.

Chestnut Lodge, I can honestly say I'm so happy with the care my partner is receiving from the staff. He is bed bound now and the staff keep him comfortable, clean, feed him and chat away to him. If I need to talk to the manager, or leading nurse, they always take time to reassure me. Overall, I am

My mother receives excellent care in this home. She has a lovely room and the facilities (activities, lounge area, garden, etc.) are second to none. The staff treat all the residents with dignity and are considerate of their individual needs. The manager is wonderful and is always available for a
chat or a meeting. My mum is very happy, well looked after, and provided with many stimulating activities to improve her well-being.

The nurse in charge is very good. The staff are doing their jobs with love.
Sometimes my sister-in-law does not have matching clothes, I was told that my sister-in-law chooses the clothes she wants to wear and sometimes she wears the dirty ones from the basket.

Great care home. Great staff and management. The care home is updating facilities to keep it looking clean and safe. Lots of activities to stimulate and engage with residents. We are very happy with the care our loved one is receiving.

The staff are very caring and the manager is very hands-on. There are entertainment and activities for the residents, including day trips. Visitors are made very welcome. Families are kept well informed and invited to attend meetings. The staff respond quickly to any medical or social needs. It is
the people that make this home welcoming. We moved our mother here from another local home, where the management was hostile and families were not made welcome. We are pleased we moved our mother to Chestnut Lodge.

The staff and the management are brilliant. The care home manager knows all the residents by name and all their relatives. The care staff on my dad's floor are brilliant. They look after the residents as if they were their own family. My dad loves the home and he thinks he is in a hotel. Whenever
there is an issue with dad (e.g. he's had a fall), the home always inform me by email or phone. I could not hope for a safer, happier and more caring place for my dad to live.
