View Full Details of Red Roofs Residential Care HomeAs soon as you walk through the door the warmth you receive is friendly staff seam nice to everyone clean, friendly rooms always nice and clean and warm food really good wouldn't have my relative any where else.
I can't pinpoint dates, but we are more than satisfied with mum's care (consistency) at Red Roofs. Whenever we visit or take mum out, especially, extra care has been put into make mum look nice. There is often something happening, games, singing etc. All the carers seem to go above and beyond to make it home.
My Aunt has been resident at Red Roofs since December 2024. We continue to be so impressed by the dedication of the staff who are so kind and caring in the support they give ensuring that all are treated with dignity and respect. Nothing is too much trouble. Not only do they provide first class care, they are also constantly thinking of ways to engage and entertain the residents. Recently there has been a party to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the home opening when the carers, residents and guests were encouraged to dress to impress and had a wonderful party with singing and dancing and delicious food. They also held a themed day about weddings when the home was beautifully decorated and a service held to celebrate friendship which meant an awful lot to my Aunt and her friend. Thank you to all the staff for all you do in so many ways and the outstanding care you provide. We are so grateful.
Everyone at Red Roofs is always very friendly and welcoming! It's always great to visit. My grandma has a lovely room. She has been able to decorate with her own photos and ornaments which has really made it feel like home.
I had reservations before mum came to stay. However I must say from the first time I stepped into Red Roofs, I needn't have worried. From the entire place being spotlessly clean (believe me I have searched for dust!) To the energy and positivity of all of the caring team to the catering team, housekeepers, maintenance, and laundry all are of the utmost calibre. But what makes the place irreplaceable is the dignity afforded to all residents by the heartfelt dedication and love emanating from the the managers nothing is too much trouble. All are valued and are treated as family. Well done Red Roofs 1,000 stars from me.
My sister has settled very well into the care home since joining, or though she likes to spend most of her time in her own room, she likes reading and crosswords, she does communicate with other residents at meal times and seems happy in this environment.
My mum moved into Red Roofs December 24, this was an extremely hard time for me and a very emtional one. My mum had been in her home for 68 years but circumstances lead us to having to put her in care. From looking round at R.R my mum moved in the next day! My mum still thinks she's at home that's how well she has settled in! The staffs care is exceptional she's like a celebrity when just walking round. The food is fresh and home cooked meals, the rooms are all clean and tidy and they do tons of activities. I am so happy I found R.R for my mum, outstanding.
Mum and Dad were looked after so well over the last two or three years. They have both passed on now and are together again at last. Such care and compassion were shown to them. All of their family took heart and were so relieved to know they were safe and their needs were met around the clock. Their rooms were always kept spotlessly clean, all credit to the ancillary staff as well as their excellent carers. As my Sister says, they were privileged to stay in their 'home' with no unnecessary visits to hospital until they died in their surroundings and with the people who knew them both so well. We would wholeheartedly recommend Red Roofs to anyone looking for a special place for their loved ones. From the bottom of our hearts to all the staff. Thank you.
The time has come for me to place a review after mum passed away peacefully following nearly 3 years of her home being Red Roofs. She and Dad took up residence just before their 70th wedding anniversary. This was duly celebrated, and they settled down quickly, right from the very beginning with care and respect, and friendliness. When Dad died we were so very pleased he was cared for in his 'home', with no unnecessary transfer to hospital, and then the same again with Mum. The words love, care, and respect, over and over again. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and l always used to think it was a pleasure to step into such a friendly atmosphere, always made welcome, always given time. My only regret is that you didn't know Mum when she could hold a conversation, knit a baby garment for you, take an interest in your children, and laugh and smile with you. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
My mother lived at Red Roofs from June to September 2024. Although her time was short there my family was so impressed with the calm and pristine environment. Mum was supported by a very dedicated and caring team of staff who worked well together to provide a warm and caring place for the residents. Three members of staff were particularly kind to my mum and helped her to settle into her new home. Mum's room was always kept immaculately clean and the family was reassured that she was in safe hands under the stewardship of the manager and her deputy. The staff go above and beyond to organise interesting activities for residents and it was pleasing to see Mum participating in the Home's summer fete, a pizza-making class, and a tribute singer who sang songs from her favourite famous singers. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who helped to make the last few months of Mum's life more bearable.
My mother is a resident at Red Roofs. On my first visit after her arrival, I was extremely impressed with the home's accommodation, the public rooms, and her room. All the staff are very caring and friendly and went out of their way to make us welcome and made visits very pleasant. We were met with tea and biscuits and allowed to use the very pleasant private lounge, where eight of us were able to have a very natural visit. All our family are extremely happy that Mum is so comfortable and well cared for. The home put on activities and Mum was involved in pizza making! This is a first-class care home.
Great place and the staff keep you informed of what is happening with trips and events and is always happy to make you a cuppa. They love people visiting the residents and seeing everyone smile. My dad loves it. Thanks, everyone.
Mum moved into Red Roofs in November 2023, the home is very well managed. Mum has settled in extremely well. All staff are absolutely committed to providing the best care, they are always friendly, welcoming, professional, polite, and we feel assured Mum is in a safe and caring environment and her needs are met. I cannot praise the care home highly enough. Mum loves her room, and all activities she gets involved with, lovely food and so very clean throughout. Thank you Red Roofs and all staff members, I would highly recommend Red Roofs Residential Home.
I cannot praise and recommend the management and staff of Red Roofs highly enough. They are a team of dedicated, hard-working and passionate staff who try to make every resident feel special by providing activities focused on their hobbies and interests. They all went far above and beyond to make my Mum's dream of being a part of her grandson's wedding come true although she was not able to attend. They made buttonholes for everyone, did Mum's hair and make-up, got her a fascinator and put her in her best finery. Then they helped her record a very special message to the happy couple. Afterwards, they helped her celebrate with a little fizz, ice creams, a special tea and even made a wedding cake! Later there was music and a little dancing. She thoroughly enjoyed it and I could see how much it meant to her to be a part of and celebrate with her friends. What an amazing and thoughtful thing for them to organise for her. Thank you all so much. I certainly highly recommend Red Roofs.
My mother was a resident in Redd Roofs care home for four years up until her death in April 2024. She was always well cared for and all the staff were brilliant. It was a very well-organised care home. Credit due to management. You always made welcome when you visited and always a smile. In my opinion, it is the best care home in the area.
We always found the staff very welcoming and friendly whenever we visited our auntie. They have plenty of activities, lovely food and very clean. My auntie is always clean and dressed well.
I cannot praise the care home too highly. I am so grateful that they are caring for my friend so well.
Outstanding care. My mother is so well cared for, the staff are kind and considerate. The home is beautiful, all of the staff work really hard to create such a beautiful home for my mother. Thank you from her eldest daughter.
As my father-in-law's health declines, all the staff who've been on duty whilst I've been present, have been professional, caring, and efficient. My father-in-law always speaks highly of them, and believe me, he'd be very vocal about any issues he had with his care.
Went beyond. Recently, a group of friends from Dad's old singing group and I decided that since Dad could no longer go to the club, we would visit him to sing. Despite arriving when staff were rushed off their feet just after lunch, we couldn't have been made more welcome. A pot of tea of tea and biscuits promptly arrived to wet our whistles and we were off singing, with other residents joining in. A great time was had by all and we'll definitely do it again.
