View Full Details of Regency Care HomeI have nothing but praise and admiration for the staff here, they are friendly and efficient. My mum has been here for two weeks now after a extended hospital stay. My mum was treated to a shower ,hair washed and nails done the day after she arrived at the home. Since then she has settled in very nicely. The food is excellent, her room is clean, warm and tidy. There is regular entertainment laid on which mum and the other residents join in with. Mum seems very happy here and I would gladly recommend it to anyone .
The home is lovely setting with wings, so the service users are not overcrowded in one place. The staff interact with the patients well and are always happy to help. The new manager is amazing, she is really creating a warm, happy and homely place. I believe she really cares.
My friend moved into this home 2 months ago and has been very happy since being there. The staff treat her with respect and are attentive. She says she likes all of the carers. Whenever I attend the home to visit or collect my friend the home is clean, warm and welcoming and all the staff are approachable and helpful. I often see activities such as art and entertainment taking place and residents are encouraged to be involved if they wish.
The care home was really nice, clean and fresh good size bedroom.and large activities room/TV room. very nice helpful staff members.highley recommend.quite a decent carpark.Bus route opposite the care home which is good if you can't drive.
A wonderful home for my mum. Excellent facilities. Staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are very professional and kind. Food is excellent. A member of staff stopped my mum from choking. Another member of staff called the doctor to mum- mum ended up in hospital but was released the next day. She had a water infection and I believe the member of staff got mum looked at, at the right time/exact time- hence she came home next day.
My mum recently moved into Regency Care Home. The management team were excellent with the move. The staff made Mum so welcome. The care team are kind and go out of their way to ensure mum was settled and comfortable. The room is very clean and Mum has an ensuite room. Mum feels at home and the staff have become friends to mum, ensuring mum is settled and comfortable.
The staff moving residents and themselves from another care home seemed to go very smoothly. I am pleased with the room my mum has, her being bedbound, it's good that she has a view of the garden and the trees.
Having moved mum from a small homely, comfortable, friendly care home to a large open space, winged care home where the conditions are impressive, as a family, we have found its lost personal contact and interaction. The carrots are kind and conscientious, which makes a valuable contribution, seeing the same staff and residents. Helped my mum settle well, although she has the stimulation and community feel. We believe some entertainment in a central hub would help enormously. Recently, Mum's toilet failed to flush. As there is no communal toilet in the wing, Mum had to have a commode which the deputy manager dealt with efficiently. This was due to blocked drains. I can't thank the management and staff enough for such a smooth, organised move.
Staff still learning how to be proficient in a new environment. Building internal layout not good.
We have moved from another care home to the Regency Care Home, the rooms and overall cleanliness of the Regency is far superior. The good part is that the staff have moved over too which is great since the care staff are really good with our mother and she seems really happy with the move.
My experince has always been positive. Staff have always listened to my concerns and the result has always been positive.
Mum's care was outstanding and caring - which was all I wanted, the food and cleanliness was excellent - it's not a 5-star hotel which some places make out to be - however, it was more than adequate. A few months into Mum's care- an entertainment person started and this in my opinion made an enormous contribution to the residents well being and mood, this made trips available and also one-to-one trips if appropriate for the resident, as well as singers on site and games etc. I hope this still happens. Mum had dementia, all the staff stood in line for Mum's funeral car and four members attended the funeral itself.
Always very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the residents if they anything.
Excellent - always a cup of tea or coffee when you visit. Mum is happy and kept clean. Staff very helpful.
I took Mum out to see a friend today for a cuppa. Whilst out, she suddenly started leaning to the left in her wheelchair. I managed, with difficulty, to get her into the car and drove her back to the home. On arrival, I couldn't get her out of the car because she was leaning against the door. I managed to attract the attention of one of the carers and he was an absolute star. He helped me get her out of the car, took her into the home, settled her and took her obs. He just took control of the entire situation. The paramedics were called, and he stayed with her until they arrived and looked after her. It was thought that she had had a TIA, however, she refused to go to hospital and the ambulance crew explained to the carer exactly what to do and when. I certainly would have struggled today if he had not been there.
My mum came to Queensferry Court on a short-term basis, with the possibility of it being permanent. Unfortunately, Mum deteriorated and passed away within a month. I found the staff caring, efficient and very easy to talk to.
There are some very kind, conscientious carers at Queensferry Court who I would like to have named as they helped mum and me cope with her two-week stay. Their positive and valuable contributions are undermined by a system that fails to enforce standards and therefore turns a blind eye to unkind and inefficient practices. Communication about and recorded information of the residents is inconsistent. It took some time for the fact my mum was vegetarian to be documented and observed. Despite the GP prescribing enteric-coated low-dose aspirin, it had not been sourced a week later. When I voiced my concerns to the manager he listened for less than 5 minutes, scribbled a few things down then made excuses and left. He gave me no explanations or solutions. We express thanks to those who truly cared for mum, and they will know who they are. The unkind, dismissive, and generally impatient attitudes which mum encountered, especially at night, should be thwarted by active management which enforces standards.
Lovely care home. Staff are always pleasant and polite, and make you feel welcome when we visit mum. Mum has really settled here and always is happy when we visit her. Would highly recommend this home. Really wonderful place.
Staff are always helpful, keeping me well informed on my mum.
My mother is so happy here, even though it's been a short time. Clean and enough staff on duty at all times. My mother is being looked after to all her needs - including her medication. Staff are welcoming to visitings from all my mother's family including the family pod.
