Caring, Patient team of staff, committed to the care of residents with a range of physical and mental disorders, challenging set of work tasks managed with genuine regard for residents' needs. Work pressures are dealt with calmly as per the leadership of the management team. Great effort put into
maintenance of a stimulating environment - not easy with a range of disabilities in the main areas of the home.

I have been here a month now my feedback is this we. Have had very hot weather no fans in bedrooms and lack of cold drink we were given hot soup the other day come on!! Low toilet seata in most toilets manger doesn't wear a name badge to let visitors know who she is things need to improve.

My mother was a resident at Thurncourt from August 2024 until she sadly passed away on 5th February 2025. The care my mother received from day one was amazing, nothing was ever to much trouble and all the staff became her extended family; she was treated with dignity and respect from the onset and
that did not change. As a family we were advised we could visit anytime and always welcomed with a smile and offered a hot/cold drink. It was the hardest decision to make, having to place my mother in a care home setting; however this decision was made more settling by the excellent care she received everyday right up until she passed away. During the final days of my mother's life, we could not have wished for a better setting for her to have been in, visitors were welcomed and were looked after during this very difficult and emotional time, the communication between care staff, GP and District Nurses was faultless ensuring my mother was pain-free during her nearing the end of her life.

My dad passed this Feb and been in home from 2022 from moving in, up till now everyone has been brilliant, caring, understanding everyone is so friendly it felt like a second home. Up until Dad's passing he was treated with care and compassion I couldn't have wished for a better home for Dad. They
are all angels.

Thurn Court have looked after my brother-in-law since June last year until his passing on Saturday 25th January 2025.
We have been extremely happy with the care and understanding of my brother-in-law's needs since we placed him into their care.
The whole staff team, starting with the Manager,
careers, all the way down to the housekeeping, and cleaning staff, and a special mention to the Activities Co-ordinator who always invited us to join in their daily activities, wherever possible or attend their events laid on for the service users. There are very many dedicated staff looking after our families, and far too many to mention.
We as a family, have felt very confident that our brother was looked after with love and care during his stay at Thurn Court and offered exactly the care we could no longer offer at home.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you sincerely for your dedication to our brother.
I would have no hesitation in recommending your home.

I would highly recommend this care home to any person who liked the comforts of a homely environment. All the staff are professional in their working positions. They are friendly and caring and go the extra mile to make it clean and comfortable to all the residents welfare needs.

Although my wife was only in the care home for a matter of 9 weeks on end of life, myself and my family could not have wished for a better place to be cared for. The staff from management to administration to carers, catering, cleaners everybody took the utmost care of my wife. The doctor was very
straightforward in her dealings with my wife which we really appreciated, no beating about the bush always straight honest answers.
The young carer who looked after us whilst we sat with my wife's final hours and arranged everything when she passed did an excellent job and was very very professional.
We as a family cannot thank the whole of the staff enough and would without hesitation recommend this lovely home
THANKS ONCE AGAIN.

I recently had my mother in respite at Thurn Court. I needed a break. The staff at Thurn Court were so lovely that my mum did not even miss me. In fact they managed to get her to take her medication and eat more food than she does at home. She was a lot easier to handle after her stay. The staff
must have had a magic touch with her. I would recommend them to anyone. Five stars is not enough.

My brother has been a resident of Thurn Court for the last 5 weeks, since then there has been a marked improvement in his overall well-being. The staff, facilities, and management are excellent and when visiting I am treated well. From my limited knowledge, it seems excellent value for money.

Mum was welcomed into Thurn Court, and although it took a while to integrate, the manager and staff were intuitive to her needs and private nature, encouraging her to be with other residents. I was always able to telephone and speak to her during covid. All staff in all departments played their part
in making mum comfortable physically, mentally and socially. Any concerns were promptly reported detailing care given following us and asking my opinion. During my visits, all the staff and management displayed honest care and respect for all residents and excellent coping strategies. The home is well-maintained and clean. Having viewed three others, mum decided that this was the most 'homely' with well-sized comprehensive and comfortable rooms.
Therefore, happy mum, happy me!
Overall I should like to thank all the staff for their kindness and professionalism. Thurn Court is an excellent choice where both residents and families would not be disappointed.

I have been really impressed with the quality of care at Thurn Court. It is a very welcoming place to visit and stay with a homely feel.
My mother-in-law seems very happy and content here and receives wonderful care.
Residents are given the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities to
keep them motivated. This includes bingo, flower arranging, pamper time and crafts. The lifestyle lead is very friendly and always tries to personalise things for residents and gives them 1:1 time to chat too which is lovely.
The manager of the home has been incredibly helpful, giving us lots of time to discuss things and make my mother-in-law's time here as comfortable as possible.
We can't thank you enough, you have helped us to feel much more at ease knowing she is in safe hands.
