Oldfield house the staff always make you feel welcome lovely and clean all the residents look happy there's always something going on singing dancing making decorations for Halloween and Christmas they take them out on day trips my parents have been in 3 months and they have settled in very well and
well looked after putting my mind at ease thank you to all the staff for looking after them

Always a positive experience, staff very helpful although they are very short staffed. The home is always clean and meals are good, residents are taken on days out and plenty of activaties to keep them occupied.

Upon visiting Oldfield House for the first time in looking for mum a care home we was greeted by Shileen the manager and the welcome was friendly and warm Shileen and all the staff made the family feel good by their actions all the residents looked happy.3 months on I know we made the right decision
in Oldfield house mum is at rest because the care is second to none in my opinion mum is always happy well fed clean and looked after many thanks to all the hard working staff at Oldfield House you are all amazing.

My personal visits have always been pleasant. I have been greeted by staff with a smile and now, always, called by my name, giving a very welcoming feeling.
I feel very comfortable leaving my mam in the care of both management and care staff at Oldfield House.
I would recommend anyone to apply for
their loved one to become a resident.

I asked the handyman if he would paint a feature wall and put up a new picture and some flower decorations; this has been done, and I am well impressed. Well done, handyman.

Thank you Oldfield House for your care and patience you have given our mother and her family. She has improved immensely with your love and support, thank you once again. The staff are always supportive and welcoming which is much needed in the beginning when everyone is nervous of the unknown.

The care home is lovely, the staff are excellent, and my mother is looking better than she has looked for a long time, if she hadn't gone in there when she did I don't think she would be with us now. Thanks to the staff they have made my mum look 10 years younger and a lot healthier, thank you.

Honestly cannot thank the staff enough. Been to visit my Nanna today and every member of the staff spoke and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much for them. They really do go out there way for everyone in the care home and for the families that come to visit. Thank you everyone for making us
all feel very welcome.

After a diagnosis of vascular dementia earlier on in the year, it was inevitable that Dad needed more care that we, as a family, could provide
Since he's been at Oldfield House Care Home, I've seen a completely different side to Dad. I am eternally grateful to the staff for everything they are
doing for my dad. I believe he couldn't have gone to a better place, thank you all again.

I am writing this review as the manager and deputy manager have gone above and beyond to meet my husband's needs, who has vascular dementia. Such wonderful people, who you can openly talk to anytime and will help in every way possible, so thank you so much for everything.

My great aunt and uncle have been residents of this care home since October 2022. They both have completely different needs and priorities.
Over the past few months, the management has changed, and there has been an improvement in the communication and management of the home.
The new manager has
a particularly good knowledge of the mental capacity act, which previously had been limited and frustrating.
The staff are lovely, and as regular visitors to the home, we’ve never seen anything untoward toward residents, which is often a worry for people when choosing a care home. My aunty would tell us if she saw anything untoward.
There is a mix of residents, and it can be quite loud at times; however, this is due to the nature of the resident's illnesses. To counteract this, there are several sitting rooms separate from the main one where residents can get some peace and quiet with a TV in it. They need more staff, but this is an issue in all care homes.
The building is worn and needs updating too.

Amazing place. Mum has only been a short while, and you can see a massive difference in Mum. Caring staff and management always meet you with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Very approachable. You get honest, clear answers. Can't thank them all enough for the care they give Mum for

From November to now august is the amount of time that I can say any words about oldfield house but what I would like to say is thanks to the staff for looking after my mum, she’s settled there so well I have peace of mind that they are caring for her in the right way. She’s happy and content
enjoying the lovely food and nothing is too much trouble for them, very approachable and always rings me if they are concerned about mum. Lovely place and she has a lovely bedroom.

We had used this care home for Mum's respite on a few weekends prior to being admitted permanently, as she was near end of life and found the staff were exceptional to Mum's needs, always making her welcome as she sometimes didn’t want to stay. When we knew she needed 24-hour care for her last few
weeks, we did not want her in a hospital and they went even further out of their way, we were allowed access at any point of the day even if we wanted to come overnight so she was not alone. Not only did the staff look after her to make her comfortable they also made sure we were, helped us get answers from palliative care district nurses, and got the right medication to ease any pain. The manager and staff are a credit to this home. A big thank you to all of them.

My experience of Oldfield House has been above and beyond expectations, it has been excellent. My mam came in here for respite care every weekend and whilst there became terminally ill. Oldfield House went above and beyond their duties and cared for her. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Each and
every staff member has worked with us to care for her. The home agreed to care for my mam during her end-of-life stages. The manager has also done so much to help sort out my mam's care, to keep her safe and well at Oldfield House when no one else would take responsibility and help. If I, or any member of my family, needed care Oldfield House would be my one and only choice! Nothing has ever been too much trouble.

The most amazing care home with fabulous, caring staff. Always warm and welcoming, and nothing is ever a problem. My nana was so lucky to have spent her remaining time with them. In the fifteen months, she was there, she was given 100 per cent care, attention, and more importantly, love. We wish she
had been there from the start.

So thrilled to see Mum looking so relaxed and content, she feels safe at Oldfield House. Her room is cosy decked out with her personal belongings. The care team are so patient and lovely with her. She loves the home cooked food, especially the puddings. Such a relief for me to see her so settled
after years of anxiety as she battled with isolation trying to cope on her own.
Thank you to all who work so hard to keep Oldfield House running smoothly.

My brother is very well looked after, the staff go the extra mile with his care, and the manager is a really kind and caring person. I don't worry about my brother as he is in a very caring environment, safe and secure. All food is homecooked and fresh with choices, and also, I'm always contacted
regarding any issues by the management.

My grandmother has been in Oldfield House care home for nearly two years, she loves being there. Originally she went in for respite and didn’t want to leave. She always says the food is lovely. The girls and managers are great; always very helpfully and informative. Gran loves playing games and
having sing songs and BBQ in the garden in summer. I would strongly recommend this care home, 10 out of 10!
