View Full Details of Pavillion Residential and Nursing HomeMy father has recently passed away and his last 18 months were so very happy at Pavillion. Everyone at the Carehome has been so caring, friendly and thoroughly professional. They looked after him with loving care and always had his best interests at heart. The best example I can think of is that for many years Dad was adamant he never wanted to go to a Carehome but circumstances became such that he just had to move from London to Pavillion. After 2 months he told us to sell his home as he had no intentions of going back to London as he was so happy "and I live here now with all these wonderful people looking after me". The purpose of writing this review is to assure anyone looking for a fantastic Carehome for a loved one then they need look no further than Pavillion. Thank you to everyone at Pavillion for making my father's last 18 months so happy and safe.
Not a bad word to say. Please see rating.
The Pavillion has been my home for 6 months now. I am very happy here. My room is comfortable and very clean. I have freshly laundered bedding every day! My personal care is excellent. I can't sat "thank you" enough times to the wonderful carers. Although always busy they never rush when attending to me. Meals are appetising served in lovely dining room. The ladies at the table have become my friend. There are many events organised. I am looking forward to the summer fair on Saturday. Family and friendly are always made welcome.
Staff very helpfull look after all needs.
The staff at home especially two members of staff provide excellent care. Their care and support is unbelievable and definitely an asset to the home. The rooms could do with a lick of paint.
I have noticed lower staff levels especially on a weekend, impacting on staff who are running around trying to do their best for all the residents. Very different to visit on a weekend, can wait around ten minutes to get into home.
Thank you to all staff, especially catering/kitchen team for the beautiful birthday cake and the way mam was made to feel "Queen for the day" on her 97th birthday, her first in care. What a wonderful place the Pavillion is, the joy and laughter shared by carers and those cared for at the event on Wednesday 26th March. The atmosphere was buzzing with delight and the face of my mam and everyone else said it all. A lot of work goes into organising such occasions. Thank you.
My mother entered the Pavillion Care Home on an initial 6 week respite period. This has now become a permanent residency. The management and staff have been excellent at settling my mother in the care home. The cleanliness of the care home and the friendliness of the staff is excellent. Facilities and activities explained to myself are also encouraging residents to be involved. Overall a very nice care home.
My dad, was a resident and unfortunately passed away on the 24th Feb 2025, My mum, me and my partner spent a huge amount time in the last year visiting my dad from the moment he.moved in you know he was going to be looked after, from the warm welcome has you enter, the management who was always approachable, being at the home and it is a home, every aspect became part of our family, to the care staff who did amazing job looking after dad, the kitchen, house keeping and even the handyman played apart, we will be forever grateful, life is so short, our older folk are just so special to us all, the hardest part was accepting dad needed help and the staff at the pavilion made that transition easier
Always a friendly welcome on arrival. My sister is well looked after, clean, well dressed and it's great to see her laughing in her room when we visit, showing how comfortable she feels there. Communication is difficult due to her condition but she responds well to our fun interactions and stimulus. My sister enjoys being part of the stimulating social activities and it's great to see her included in the photographer sharing these photographs, it's a great way to promote the home's activities.
I find that the nurses and regular staff are really good, however I don't feel the agency staff know about my mum's needs and worry about this. I sometimes think that the regular checks are are not done, or not done correctly as sometimes I have noticed my mam has not been moved or she has sneezed and has snots all over her mouth as she is unable to wipe herself. I also think an interior upgrade is needed of the rooms and home.
The manager should be very proud of her staff. All of them from the nursing staff, care staff, housekeeping staff, catering staff and the bus driver went the extra mile with a smile. They treated my mam with kindness and dignity even though at the beginning of her stay mam wasn't cop-operative or even nice to them. Your administrator, in the office, was so helpful to me and no problem, and there were quiet a few in the beginning, was too, great. I don't think I have ever meet a more positive and cheerful person. I haven't rated activities because didn't have any experience of them. Never knew which ones were being offered, because Mam always said there weren't any, but she may not have wanted to participate.
After visiting for over two years, I find the Pavillion a good care home. The staff are very good and my friend receives the care I would hope for. The place is well managed and clean. Things I would improve : 1. Rooms to be painted fresher, brighter colours. 2. Less dependence on agency staff at weekends.
Overall I am very satisfied with the care my husband is receiving. The carers do their very best in sometimes challenging situations. The staff throughout the home are very welcoming and offer help where they can.
I have been a resident here for a little over two years and though missing my own home, I have been content and felt safe and secure. This is due to the kindness and respect I have received from the staff.
My experience of the Pavillion is everyone is so caring towards the residents. They go well beyond the call of duty. I can relax knowing my husband is getting well looked after.
You have great staff, everyone is approachable and friendly. The rooms could benefit from being decorated otherwise nothing to complain about.
My Mother-in-law needed to visit hospital urgently, from the care home, and we were unable to travel with her for personal reasons. So a carer from the Pavillion travelled with her and waited with her. Shortly after she had gone to the hospital I was able to make my way to the hospital. When I arrived at the hospital I noticed the carer was very supportive and caring towards my Mother-in-law all the time she was with her, this reassured me that my Mother-in-law is getting the best care possible.
Our Mum had a fall and was quickly referred to hospital by the home. The day we were in hospital the care home rang us and we discussed the risks of falling as the room we had chosen was small and didn't have a lot of space around the bed. The team wouldn't have been more helpful, a room had very recently become available and they suggested Mam could move into here, as it was more spacious and would have easier access for the carers. the team was brilliant, they had the room cleaned and refreshed (it had been cleaned previously and moved all of her belongings into the room ready for her return from hospital later that day. It was such a weighty of our minds and the whole team went above and beyond to help out.
My husband moved into The Pavillion four weeks ago and I cannot give enough thanks and praise for the outstanding support and help all of the staff have given my husband and myself to adjust. It is truly a welcoming and loving home from home where my husband is now settled and happy.
