The team at Pavillion are passionate about supporting their residents to do the things they love, from music therapy, animal visits, gardening, trips into the community and coffee mornings, to gentle exercise sessions.
The residents had a ball when they celebrated the King’s Coronation – with live music, dancing and even a giant handmade London bus, lovingly made with the residents’ photographs displayed in the windows!
Pavillion has a hairdressing salon, for pampering sessions and weekly visits from a local mobile hairdresser.
The lounges and large gardens are lovely places to relax with family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time.
In the dining room, the chef serves delicious, home-cooked food, from cooked breakfasts if residents prefer, roast dinners with all the trimmings, to lighter bites. And every day there are home-baked sweets for afternoon tea.
The team are proud of the home’s Good CQC report (June 2022), with a Good in every single area. The report highlights how the residents are actively involved in the running of the Pavillion, how varied the activities are and how kind, caring and respectful the team are. Mum settled very quickly in a lovely ensuite room and was looked after by the most amazing nurses, carers and managers in the home. Supporting not just her needs but the family too.
Sadly my mum was not with the home very long but the compassion and support the team provided extevded well beyond her csre & the staff went above and beyond right to the end.

My father has recently passed away and his last 18 months were so very happy at Pavillion. Everyone at the Carehome has been so caring, friendly and thoroughly professional. They looked after him with loving care and always had his best interests at heart. The best example I can think of is that for many years Dad was adamant he never wanted to go to a Carehome but circumstances became such that he just had to move from London to Pavillion. After 2 months he told us to sell his home as he had no intentions of going back to London as he was so happy "and I live here now with all these wonderful people looking after me". The purpose of writing this review is to assure anyone looking for a fantastic Carehome for a loved one then they need look no further than Pavillion. Please rest assured that we take all aspects of personal care and hygiene very seriously and are sorry to hear you feel we fell short on this occasion. We will of course share your feedback directly with the home manager please also feel free to reach out to her directly her door is always open. Regarding the homes interior, we are already in a rolling programme of redecoration to enhance our environment for residents and families.
The manager should be very proud of her staff. All of them from the nursing staff, care staff, housekeeping staff, catering staff and the bus driver went the extra mile with a smile. I am pleased to say that after a short period where our maintenance operative was off work, he is now back and our rolling redecoration programme to keep rooms fresh and welcoming has resumed. Regarding agency staff, we usually have a core team of long-serving staff, but a recent flu outbreak meant we had to rely on agency cover as many staff were poorly, but we are delighted to be back to normal now.
