The team at the Pavillion, many of whom have proudly worked at the home for over 10 years, provide residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care, which can be booked in advance.

The home has a warm, homely atmosphere, with a team dedicated to Sanctuary Care’s vision of Enriching Lives. This is based on the six senses people need to feel truly happy and fulfilled – a sense of achievement, belonging, continuity, purpose, security and significance.

The team at Pavillion are passionate about supporting their residents to do the things they love, from music therapy, animal visits, gardening, trips into the community and coffee mornings, to gentle exercise sessions.

The residents had a ball when they celebrated the King’s Coronation – with live music, dancing and even a giant handmade London bus, lovingly made with the residents’ photographs displayed in the windows!

Pavillion has a hairdressing salon, for pampering sessions and weekly visits from a local mobile hairdresser.

The lounges and large gardens are lovely places to relax with family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time.

In the dining room, the chef serves delicious, home-cooked food, from cooked breakfasts if residents prefer, roast dinners with all the trimmings, to lighter bites. And every day there are home-baked sweets for afternoon tea.

The team are proud of the home’s Good CQC report (June 2022), with a Good in every single area. The report highlights how the residents are actively involved in the running of the Pavillion, how varied the activities are and how kind, caring and respectful the team are. The home has 68 tastefully decorated bedrooms, some with wet rooms and others with toilet and washing facilities. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms truly feel like home, with small pieces of furniture, etc.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1138 and for nursing care £1396, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Caring and efficient staff. Mam is happy and well cared for. Mam is given choices of food, clothes and where to sit. The room is large and clean. Staff are friendly and always have time to talk about Mam.

We have discussed in length our concerns. And it seems to fall on deaf ears. Room cleaning and the family member left in a wheelchair, when likes T.V and room but mostly oral hygiene. The nursing staff are brilliant and so are most of the staff, but this should not be happening. Think there could be
more done with residents for mind and interests.

My mother has only been in this nursing home a short while, but we cannot fault the care and support she has received while there. Every one of the staff has treated Mam with outstanding care and all have been very friendly and supportive to me and my family. The medical care is also first-class.

My father was end of life. The nurses and carers cared for him with the utmost care and dignity, keeping me informed every step of the way. The nursing staff were the best I have ever encountered and being a nurse myself is the highest praise that I can give. The carers were exceptionally good and always
smiling which shows their dedication in unprecedented times. I will be forever grateful for the care received and the support of family.

My wife has been a resident at the home since the 17th of December 2021. This place has been fantastic. The staff are all attentive, friendly and professional. All of my wishes for my wife have been implemented. She gets up every day, washed, dressed and take part in activities until my arrival. I assist
with her lunch. The food is excellent. Home-made with quality ingredients and the portion size is more than ample. This home is great.

I am extremely happy mum was able to get into this home - Pavillion Residential and Nursing Home. Her room is lovely, with plenty of space to put all her personal belongings and make it feel like her home. The staff are brilliant with her and me. The whole house is super clean and modern. Lots of things
going on. The food is plenty and very good.

Dad was here for respite stay at the end of July. All the staff were really caring and respectful with my Dad, making a fuss of him. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay. Thank you so much for treating him with dignity.

My mam has only been in the home for five days. We have only seen it from outside and the one visiting room. My mom seemed settled and happy, she was not wearing her prosthetic breast when visited and staff were unaware. A carer was with my mom and there was excellent chemistry and you can see her care
and patience (I know we cannot put names, but she was brilliant!). The place looks very run down and could do with a bit of money spent on it to brighten it up.

All the staff have been friendly and helpful throughout the process of choosing a care home and getting my parents settled in. It is a big change for my parents but they seem to be settling in very well due to the care of all the staff. They are particularly impressed with the standard of the food!

Due to Covid not being into the unit my mam is on. When the first visit at the beginning of April, we had a good feel about the home, met the manager first, she was lovely and so have all the staff since met. Hopefully, the home will soon be fully open to family and friends then will be able to fill
the options in that they deserve.
