The attitude of the staff is excellent.

Quality of meals has deteriorated since I became a resident here. Sunday lunch is still fairly good, others not infrequently, just poor. The chips are still pretty dreadful as I have complained previously. Very poor by comparison with those from other outlets. Probably due to a failure of management to provide equipment as used by other commercial outlets to skin potatoes, then to cut them into chips.

We have had a few issues in the past months but speaking about our concerns, they have improved loads. Need to make sure rooms are cleaned and ready for guests to visit first thing in the morning 90% of the time, no bed made and not cleaned.

Reply from Fae Doherty, Marketing Officer at Pavillion Residential and Nursing Home

Dear Andrea, thank you for taking the time to review Pavillion. After speaking with the home manager, I understand that many mattresses are washed daily on a morning and left to dry. Despite the rooms being cleaned early on, the beds have to be left to fully dry before being made due to infection...

I can honestly say that my decision to place my wife into this establishment was the best decision I have made.

The way the staff treat my wife and keep the building is second to none. The staff are very friendly but professional and the cleanliness of the building is brilliant. My wife's room is spacious, very clean and a joy to be in. With my wife being in this establishment, I am assured and sleep easier knowing that she is safe and being looked after by the best staff possible.

Since my granda came to the Pavillion in October 2015 I could not fault the care, love and attention both my granda and our family receive from the care staff, kitchen staff and even the cleaning staff. The all go above and beyond and deserve a medal for what they do.

Review from Lisa M (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 February 2019 Submitted via Review Postal Card
Overall Experience

When we initially visited The Pavillion we got a good feeling about it straight away. It was clean - no smell at all unlike previous homes we had looked at - we were shown around everything and the staff were friendly, knowledgable and interested in Dad and his likes and dislikes. He has settled in well and in the last few months, he has seemed a lot happier than when he lived on his own. All the staff in the office and the home are wonderful. Cheerful and friendly, they always have time to help or speak to us about any concerns. There is plenty going on for residents and visitors to be involved in. It is lovely knowing someone is there 24/7 for Dad.

I am very happy with this care home for my husband. The carers and staff are great. One day if I need to go into a care home, this would be the one.
