9.6 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd
Sanctuary Care was first established in 1995 to provide older people with a range of high-quality care services, including residential, dementia and nursing care.

Part of Sanctuary Group, which is an exempt charity, Sanctuary Care has over 110 homes across England and Scotland. They are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation meaning the surplus made by Sanctuary Care is reinvested into the business which allows them to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well-maintained homes.

They believe in going above and beyond to enrich people's lives - whether that's residents, their loved ones or staff.

For residents, Sanctuary Care looks at what makes every person unique, the people close to their hearts, their passions and dreams yet to be fulfilled, and the continuity of living they need to feel content, happy and fulfilled. Knowing all of this enables the teams to deliver truly person-centred care to each and every individual who lives in the homes.

The home is warm and comfortable and my aunt is very happy there. The staff are lovely and look after her well. Lovely to have a salon there for when I set her hair! New conservatory is great for added enjoyment, especially in the summer months. Always greeted with a smile from the staff at reception
and within the home.

Mum has resided in Bridge View House Care Home for almost 2 years now.
Whilst we would all wish to remain in our own homes as life goes on, sometimes that is not possible - finding Bridge View has been a God send for Mum and her family.
She continues to be happy and content, with lots of interaction
and activities with staff and other residents.
Her health and ailment requirements are attended to respectfully, and professionally, and staff are also open to family suggestions and observations, should they occur.
Mum's eating and diet sometimes needs altering and encouraging. Staff are vigilant, and flexible to her needs.
With another festive period on its way, the communal areas are being decorated by residents with the help and encouragement of staff. Arts and Crafts, flower arranging, tree decorating, games and Festive TV.
Thank you all at Bridge View House Care Home X

The palliative care provided for my father during his short stay was outstanding. It was comforting to see that he was cared for as an individual, professionally and sensitively. A good team culture is evident. Thank you for ensuring that my father's final days were as positive as they could be, for

My Mum moved to Bridge View House over a year ago and has settled in really well. She is happy and has made some good friends there. The team is fantastic - very caring and go the extra mile to make sure Mum has what she needs and what works for her. They take time to sit down with her and chat, often
over a cup of tea.
I look forward to reading the newsletter every month and to see Mum and her friends enjoying the activities on offer. Jade and the team do an awesome job and their door is always open for families to talk, provide feedback, and help arrange specific activities or surprises for Mum.
I live overseas so I am not able to visit Mum as regularly as I'd like. Knowing that Mum is getting the best possible care, is happy at Bridge View House, and in safe hands, is very reassuring and gives me peace of mind.
Keep up the fabulous work.

Dad's been at Wantage nursing home since 2021, the care has always been excellent, the staff show genuine compassion and respect for the residents and we never dread going to visit as it's such a happy environment with lots of engaging activities going on. The team even set up a private room for us
this weekend to celebrate Dad's 80th, with a birthday banner and a little buffet, a completely lovely surprise! We couldn't be happier with the care Dad receives here, the team are a credit to the industry.

Recently visited Riverlee to check on my elderly grand uncle for the first time. The staff was helpful and friendly and the place was clean as I showed up at different times to visit and check on him. Appreciate the security throughout the building from the entrance to the elevators.
It's critical
to have your loved ones' clothes and personal property labeled with their names because they will get lost. Personal items of his were missing and he was wearing items that weren't his so we are addressing that issue. Appreciate the staff's help in facilitating his phone calls when family calls. We appreciate that.
Many thanks to Bria, Evelyn and Julietta for providing great care and answering all my questions. I didn't get the names of all the staff I encountered but did take photos and expressed my gratitude in person. Will be back to visit soon again!
The location is convenient to both the DLR station and the London Bus stop after a 7 minute walk so it's easy to get to.

Mum continues to be car e d for with compassion and respect. The cleaner just popped in to do an afternoon clean, and table wipe down. She came quietly into the room, said hello to Mum and asked if it would be okay for her to vacuum and wipe down the services. This demonstrates such respect for Mum
as an individual, even when asked to look out for the crumbs under the bed, " that I've put down for the birds" . Reassurance that she would and not to worry ill sort it.
This is just one snippet of the care that Mum receives, she varies in her understanding of what is happening from day- to- day. Sometimes actively disengaging from care. All of this is taken with calm respect.
The Furzehatt Team are great, keep doing what you are doing, you are five star!
