9.6 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd
Sanctuary Care was first established in 1995 to provide older people with a range of high-quality care services, including residential, dementia and nursing care.

Part of Sanctuary Group, which is an exempt charity, Sanctuary Care has over 110 homes across England and Scotland. They are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation meaning the surplus made by Sanctuary Care is reinvested into the business which allows them to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well-maintained homes.

They believe in going above and beyond to enrich people's lives - whether that's residents, their loved ones or staff.

For residents, Sanctuary Care looks at what makes every person unique, the people close to their hearts, their passions and dreams yet to be fulfilled, and the continuity of living they need to feel content, happy and fulfilled. Knowing all of this enables the teams to deliver truly person-centred care to each and every individual who lives in the homes.

My Mum is always clean, warm and well fed, her room is cosy and clean and the staff always make a fuss of her and make her feel safe! The activities are too class as are the social events that take place regularly slowing families to be part of the day!

My dad has been a resident at Cedar Court for 4 years.
In that time the staff have shown both him and our family, how the care they provide is done so with patience, consistency and attentiveness.
My dad has settled really well. He loves the staff even when he's in a difficult mood!
We know he's
well looked after, he's always clean, well fed and there is always something to do. The entertainment and events the residents have put on for them is fantastic.

My Mum is beautifully cared for at Ashley House. The staff understand her needs, treat her with respect and humour and their interaction with her always brings a smile to her face.

I also feel I am cared for, which is lovely when dealing with the complex emotions around dementia. Whenever I turn

up I am welcome and seen as part of the friendly community that is Ashley House.

Communication with Ashley House is easy and plentiful.

The facilities are simple but that is all my Mum needs at this stage in her life.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
From the very start all of the staff at the Sanctiary Pavillion were amazing. We had looked at this home when planning care & were impressed with the facilities and warm welcome we received. After a rapid decline in my mums condition the team at Pavillion reacted quickly to ensure a room was available
to support her needs at very short notice

Mum settled very quickly in a lovely ensuite room and was looked after by the most amazing nurses, carers and managers in the home. Supporting not just her needs but the family too.

Sadly my mum was not with the home very long but the compassion and support the team provided extevded well beyond her csre & the staff went above and beyond right to the end.

I would nor hesitate to recimmend this home and would like to pass our our heartfelt thanks to everyone in the amazing Paviliion Team.

Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Pavillion Residential and Nursing HomeThank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback. We're honoured to hear how welcomed your mum felt and how quickly the team supported her and your family at such a difficult time. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum recently moved to Blackwood, it hasn't been an easy transition as my Mum has Dementia and was very distressed because she was so confused. The wonderful staff team have been exceptional in calming Mum down and settling her into her new home, and they have been brilliant at helping my brother
and I manage the transition as well. Mum has settled in now and is happy, content and thriving in her new surroundings, she has made friends and always praises the lovely team there. Mum has a lovely room with a great view of the beautiful secure garden, there's lots to keep her busy and with support from the excellent events manager Bernie, she has even joined the knitting club! It's so good to see Mum so happy - it's a really lovely home.

Caton House has been in my life since 2015 when I made arrangements for my much loved neighbour to become a resident he was there until his passing in 2015 and absolutely loved it and the staff of whom many are still there loved him. My friend of over 30 years became a resident in February of this year
and too is very well looked after. For this I give 5 stars.

We wanted to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Redannick for the love, kindness and attention you showed my Godmother during her time with you. It meant so much to know she was surrounded by people who truly cared for her well-being and treated her with such dignity and compassion during the
short time she was with you. The care you gave her brought comfort to us both and you made us feel so welcome despite some difficult times, but my Godmother's wishes were always put to the forefront of her care, which was so important to her. The dedication everyone had shown made an enormous difference to the lives of the residents, their friends and family, and we will always be thankful for the care you gave.
