  • Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd
Sanctuary Care was first established in 1995 to provide older people with a range of high-quality care services, including residential, dementia and nursing care.

Part of Sanctuary Group, which is an exempt charity, Sanctuary Care has over 110 homes across England and Scotland. They are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation meaning the surplus made by Sanctuary Care is reinvested into the business which allows them to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well-maintained homes.

They believe in going above and beyond to enrich people's lives - whether that's residents, their loved ones or staff.

For residents, Sanctuary Care looks at what makes every person unique, the people close to their hearts, their passions and dreams yet to be fulfilled, and the continuity of living they need to feel content, happy and fulfilled. Knowing all of this enables the teams to deliver truly person-centred care to each and every individual who lives in the homes.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was at Briggs Lodge for 3 1/2 years. She was always treated with care and the utmost respect at all times. All staff were incredible and worked extremely well as a team, nothing ever seemed too much trouble. As a visiting relative the care and friendship from all staff was above and beyond
mere duty it felt like a second home. Can't praise them enough.

My wife has now entered her fourth year of residence, and I continue to visit her almost every day. Two years have passed since my first review and I now record my continuing admiration of, and gratitude to, the staff providing her with the appropriate care and attention far beyond what I could do
myself. It is no longer possible to tell how aware my wife is of her surroundings, but every day she is hoisted into her wheelchair to spend the day in the company of other people. Her room is always immaculate, her food is individually prepared, and any health changes are promptly discussed with me. Many of the staff clearly love their jobs, and their frequent laughter provides the home with a happy ambience.

Pavillion Residential and Nursing Home

from P F (Son of Resident) published on 12 September 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father has recently passed away and his last 18 months were so very happy at Pavillion. Everyone at the Carehome has been so caring, friendly and thoroughly professional. They looked after him with loving care and always had his best interests at heart. The best example I can think of is that for
many years Dad was adamant he never wanted to go to a Carehome but circumstances became such that he just had to move from London to Pavillion. After 2 months he told us to sell his home as he had no intentions of going back to London as he was so happy "and I live here now with all these wonderful people looking after me". The purpose of writing this review is to assure anyone looking for a fantastic Carehome for a loved one then they need look no further than Pavillion. Thank you to everyone at Pavillion for making my father's last 18 months so happy and safe.

Ridgewood Court was my mums home for the last 6 years of her life.
I could not of asked for a better place, the staff are amazing they go above & beyond in what they do and they are the home's biggest assett. The staff cared for my mum to the very end showing her empathy, love & treating my mum with
such dignity & respect. I was always fully updated with any changes in mum's care & I had regular Care Plan Reviews. I would not hesitate to recommend Ridgewood Court.
I will always be extremely greatful for what they all did for my mum & support I was given through this time.

Caring for an elderly relative is never easy. Since my father-in-law went to Cowper Street two and a half years ago, he has received excellent care and suport. The management and staff are second to none. The weight has been lifted from wife's shoulders and we feel as we have an extended family to help
us cope with our loved ones physical, emotional and mental needs.

The home is amazing. Spotlessly clean. Great food. The carers are some of the best people I have ever met. Kind, considerate and loving towards my mother. Myself and my family are welcomed into the home as family members. I don't know how to thank them for the care and love they give to my mother.

My mom moved into Line Tree Court in June a day before her 95th birthday. She has advanced dementia and can't really do anything for herself. The bedroom is lovely, bright and airy and mom has all her pictures on the wall. The staff have been increadably kind and caring, not only to mom but to me as
well. The food is lovely and fresh and they also have home made cakes and biscuits in the afternoon. There are lots of small breakaway areas for visitors to take their relatives or friends and these areas have drink making facilities and a fresh baked cake every day ( which I think is a lovely touch) Mom seems to have settled very well in the home and this is down to the loving care of the staff. I feel very happy that my mom has found such a lovely home. Thank you

I can not say enough here how grateful I am to Redhill and each and everyone of the staff. My sister is of complex needs with dementia and autism. She is so well looked after and treated as an individual and always with respect. I looked after my sister prior to her joining the Redhill family and she
was very hard work but insisted she would never go into a home. Eventually she had to go into Redhill and really felt at home straight away. If I or anyone asks my sister if she is happy she says "of course I am it's a life of Riley" I am also made welcome and I know all of the staff and we have a chat and a catch up every time I visit. If I could give more stars I would, it is truly an excellent home. Thank you Sanctuary Care and Redhill Court

My mom came to Lime Tree in February after a traumatic 2 months in hospital. From the moment my sister met the manager and another member of staff when they came to assess my mom, we knew we'd found the right place. We couldn't have found better care for mom. All of the staff are so welcoming and caring,
they know you by name and as well as caring for my mom they also offer a kind ear to us as a family. The food is amazing and there are also activities for residents if they want to join in. When you visit it's like a home from home. I often see two other members of staff when I visit, they are so caring with residents and family members. We can't thank Lime Tree enough for what they have done for my mom so far and also us as a family. Thank you everyone!

My husband attends Beechwood as a Day Care User once a week. I was a bit anxious as to how he would react to this but it is working out much better than I could have expected. My husband asks each day if he is going. He clearly enjoys himself. From the moment we enter the doors we are greeted
and my husband is immediately engaged in conversation about what he is having for lunch which distracts him from worrying about leaving me. He goes off happily which sets my mind at rest. When I collect him he is always quite content and the staff give me a brief outline of what he has been doing. There seems to be a variety of activities on offer and he especially welcomes the chance to chat with other people. I am so confident the my husband will be well looked after that we have booked some respite care for him later this year.

Our dad stayed with Regent for around 5 weeks for respite care.  It's always an anxious period leaving your loved ones in the care of others.  Dad settled in quicky and any apprehensions we had as a family were very quickly dismissed.  The care shown by all the care and admin staff was wonderful and
respectful.  During his stay he was taken out on a trip, out for drinks, out for restaurant meal, and as a celebratory leaving meal, an Italian dinner was delivered for him and some of the residents joined him. The thoughts behind the excursions and outing were personally chosen to suit dad.  The home is like one big family, and has a lovely feel and atmosphere.  We would not hesitate to recommend Regent, as our experience was so positive and beyond our expectations.  Thank you to everyone for looking after our cheeky lovely dad !

When Regent say they are a family, they are 100% correct! The genuine love and care the staff showed Dad during his respite stay was outstanding; each and every staff member takes the time to get to know the residents on a truly personal level and interact with warmth and love. This welcome is extended
to family members, who are kept informed and also shown care and understanding.
The enrichment activities and trips out were a particularly point that sets Regency apart from other care homes as they were personal to Dad. They are carefully considered and planned and was like going out with a treasured friend.
If you're looking for a home from home, with a built in family that will give outstanding and professional specialised care, then I would not hesitate to recommend Regent. Management took the time to chat to me about looking after Dad once he leaves with the offer of being able to call for advice, as well as signposting me to useful resources.
Thank you Regent for being AMAZING!!
