Following my father's stroke, our family faced the difficult decision of placing him into a care home as a temporary measure while we searched for suitable accommodation. At just 67, this was a huge adjustment, but from the moment he arrived, he was treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
During
his stay from June 2025 to January 2026, the staff provided exceptional care, companionship, and encouragement, helping him through a challenging period. The home was always spotless, welcoming, and maintained to a very high standard.
The Manager and her team were outstanding, offering support and reassurance whenever needed. My father also thoroughly enjoyed the food, always looking forward to mealtimes and the variety of meals on offer.
A particularly touching moment came on his final day when staff gathered to wish him well. It brought tears to his eyes and perfectly reflected the genuine care shown throughout his stay. Even now, he still talks fondly about the wonderful time he had.

Willow Gardens continues to offer everything mum needs & more.
Mum's been a resident here for 4 years but in the last 12 months Mum's health has been particularly challenging.
The whole team really do offer wrap around support ; they pre empt what mum may need & have always shown genuine care
& compassion.
Willow has always been the very best place for mum. They adapt & develop services around residents but carry it out in such an unassuming way.
Mum has been happy & settled throughout her time here & that's full credit to the management, nursing, care, kitchen, cleaning & maintenance teams....they're all known to the residents & create a real home for them.
I've had complete confidence with the care & support given to mum. Moving there gave her a new lease of life & she continues to thrive.
Thank you just doesn't seem enough.

My mother has been a resident at Ridgewood Court since it opened in 2018. The care she has received has been amazing. Staff have always gone out of their way to accommodate her needs even when her dementia sometimes makes her seem ungrateful. My confidence has continued to grow over the years, despite
COVID and many staff changes. Well done Ridgewood Court.

The staff are excellent, they are caring, helpful, friendly, accommodating and dedicated. They go out of their way to make sure the residents' needs are met. They are particularly diligent in administering medicines and monitoring the health of the residents.
The facility is split into three floors,
and each floor has its own meeting rooms and restaurant, which is quite nice as it makes the experience more intimate for the residents.

Since the new manager has taken over, the home is now much cleaner, tidier and fresher.
My mum has been in this home for over 10 years and has received excellent care and love from the staff. I live abroad and, not being able to visit as often as I would like, it is very important for me to have full
confidence that she is well looked after and cared for. I never have to worry that this is not the case. I am so very grateful to tge whole team....

My cousin moved into Willow Gardens 5 months ago. He was very unsettled to begin with which is understandable but soon adapted to new surroundings and is happy.
Initially he was in a small room but was moved when a larger ensuite became available and can't fault it. He's not good at mixing with people
but loves animals and music.
His room looks out onto a couple of bird feeders which the staff help with keeping it topped up and he loves watching the birds and occasional squirrel. The staff organised a WiFi booster as they knew how important music is to him so he's now able to access it through his computer.
The staff are kind, caring and look after his needs and the food is very good and plenty of it.
He enjoys having his hair cut and beard trimmed by the in house hairdresser and also seeing the chiropodist monthly.
The staff are very approachable and willing to listen and help with any of my concerns.
I'm very grateful for the care they're giving and can't fault them. Thank you.
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Willow Gardens Residential and Nursing HomeThank you for such kind and detailed feedback. Knowing our team's care, approachability and home comforts are making a positive difference means a great deal to us.

My mother was a resident at Ridgewood Court Care Home while living with Alzheimer's disease, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received.
The staff at Ridgewood Court are outstanding. They showed remarkable kindness, patience, and understanding, always treating my mum with dignity and
respect. Their knowledge of Alzheimer's and their compassionate approach gave our family great reassurance that she was safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
What truly set Ridgewood Court apart was the empathy shown by the staff, particularly at the time of my mother's passing. The sensitivity, support, and kindness extended to our family during such a painful time meant more than words can express. It was clear that the care and compassion they showed was heartfelt and sincere.
I am incredibly grateful to the entire team at Ridgewood Court Care Home and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a caring, supportive, and professional environment for a loved one

My father has been at Willow Gardens since October 2019 following a life changing stroke. Since then, I struggle to understand or comprehend anything my dad is trying to communicate. The staff at Willow Gardens have worked with him for over 6 years and have always striven to meet his needs - even to
the details of how high he wants his blind, whether he wants his curtains open, if he wants to join others in the lounge. From the manager, nurses, carers and activities coordinators I feel that his ongoing relationship at Willow Gardens is is the best it can possibly be.

As Mum's dementia worsened we realised that she needed better care than we could give her at home, so made the difficult decision to find a care home. We are so very glad that we found Ridgewood Court.
Every single person involved in Mum's care from day one showed such professionalism and kindness
throughout her stay. She was treated with dignity, respect and genuine care in a clean and safe environment. The staff communicated really well with us about her needs, monitored her health and made sure that she saw the GP/nurse whenever required.
Seeing Mum so happy and well cared for in her final year means the world to us. Her final chapter was so much more full of life than we could have hoped.
The last few days with Mum were made so much easier for us by the wonderful staff. We will never forget the kindness we were shown as a family.

Jeremy spent just over 15 months at Willow Gardens and settled well there. Naturally, there were teething problems but as time went on he saw the Home and his room there as his special place where he was well treated and understood by staff. I visted Jeremy five days a week and he said time and again
that, given his physical disability, this was the place he needed to be. He liked the room and the view from his window and he always said how much he liked the staff and that they looked after him well. As Jeremy's wife and being a frequent visitor I found the atmosphere most warm and welcoming

The hallmark of Willow Gardens is the diligent care and kindness of the staff towards residents. The leadership and direction is also very notable in all aspects of the effective management and running of the home. My mum couldnt be in the care of better hands. For those of us who don't live locally,
if it were possible, it would be useful to know weekly menus (and any choice/preference options) and any planned activities (via webpage?). This would help me supporting my mum when I talk to her each day to get the best out of of her residence.

I moved my Dad into the Care Home in December, and it was a big upset at the time, the decison to move him in and also being around Christmas time too, but the staff were great from day one. It has taken a bit of time and there are still a few teething issues with my Dad (not the home) but he has settled
now and understands he needs 24 hour care that the home are giving him. The home is great, the staff are always really great with us, and have been very welcoming and kind to us as a difficult time, helping not only my Dad but also us too dealing with what comes with care home moves. Can't thank them enough, they have been brilliant with him.
