My friend has been a resident in Caton House for six years, and has been treated with immeasuable kindness.
It has always been a pleasure to walk through the doors of Caton House to visit my friend. Whether it is management or receptionist, the welcome is warm. Nurses, carers activity leaders, ,
cleaners, cook, admin staff who make up the whole of Caton House are extremely friendly & kind, answering any questions, sorting out difficulties & problems to their best ability.
My friend has been uncomfortable lately with the hygienic pads but on speaking to management and folk in charge of this deoartment, the outcome has been excellent.
There has been one complaint during my friends time at Caton House, but management listend to the complaint attentively and things were resolved for the benefit of my friend.
I have recommended Caton House to many, during my volunteering at a Memory Club.
I cant imagine there being a more efficient and happier Care Home.

We are very pleased with Caton House. The look and cleanliness is superb. Mum's room is very nice and always clean and tidy. Staff are are always friendly and helpful. Parking is easy. Access is easy.

Our mother has settled into Caton House very well and and is very happy. The staff look after her complex needs very well as she needs 24 hour care, which we could not be able to provide for her at home. Extremely happy with this carehome..An absolutely amazing effort by all staff over Christmas to make it lovely for residents and visitors.
All staff are approachable and helpful. Take any concerns seriously and act on them.
I feel they know the residents needs and know us as a family. A very much
needed personal approach. From Diane on reception, Alison in admin and Ed who seems to always be there for our queries and to all the staff who make mum smile

We are very happy with the level of care and support provided to my mum who has dementia and is bedridden. The staff at Caton house are very caring, friendly and keep us informed of any concerns.). There are plenty of activities for those who are able bodied, sadly our mum isn't one of those, but the
staff include her in any celebrations as best they can. We have total faith in the staff and our minds are at rest knowing she is getting the best care at Caton house.

Our Mum was a resident of Caton House for over 4 years. She arrived with a terrible sore gained at another care home. The Team at Caton House had the sore healed within 4 months through their dedicated 'Nursing' care.
Throughout our Mums dementia journey the dedication staff treated Mum & us as part
of the Caton family & team.
Things did not always run smoothly, thats an impossible task, but any concerns were taken seriously and we felt listened to and part of our Mums care.
There are so many excellent staff at Caton House it is impossible to name them all.
It was always hard for us to except that Mum could not be cared for at home by us, but it was not until Mums 'end of life' journey that we really understood what a comfortable home Caton was/is and just how much we appreciated the amazing staff at Caton.
The work they do is so undervalued in society, but not by us, we will be forever grateful for their dedication to good care. Thank you to a very special team of people.

I would like to thank all the taff for the family BBQ held on Saturday 16th August. The food and drink provided was very good and plentiful. The staff were very helpful and polite. I know my mum enjoyed the event and I am sure many other residents did too.

Had such a lovely lunch with my mother in law today. Her brother came to visit too, which she absolutely loved. One member of staff made the whole experience wonderful - he was so welcoming, took great care of us, and even sat down for a proper chat, which made it feel extra special.

The standards have got worse since I came here. The food has got worse. The nursing staff who are here are good but there are not enough of them. The cleaning staff have improved. Food is served on cold plates!

This review relates to the Day Centre not the Care Home. My wife has attended the Day Centre one or two times a week for over three years. Overall facilities and staff are good with room for improvement.The Day Centre struggles with attracting people to attend which is surprising in view of the lack
of options locally. However the Local Authority do not tend to promote Caton House as they have there own Council run facility and this may be a factor. Caton House has recently had a new manager and there are signs of improvement so in fairness we should give them 3-6 months to see how things are then.The staff at the Day Centre are generally very friendly ,helpful and hard working.

Generally, a very good experience over the last two years. Care is great and all carers are polite, efficient and attentive. Always dealing with any problems. Food is probably the only problem for long term residents. More fresh fruit and salads needed!
