My mum became a resident in forefaulds in August 25 ,there was a couple of wee teething problems at the beginning but since then she has settled in great. She has a much better quality of life than she did at home and we know she is safe there. The staff are great and she's encouraged to get involved
in activities she enjoys. My elderly dad visits twice a day and is made to feel welcome at all times, as are the rest of the family. Really can't fault the care she receives and we are kept informed every step of the way.

Forefaulds is fantastic with my mum from the carers to the cleaners the entertainment staff (kirsty) they go above amd beyond with everyone and everything. We as a family cannot fault anything . The place is so clean and nothing is any bother to the staff

My mother receives excellent care from staff who are all very friendly polite and professional. I can see how safe she feels in the environment and the various activities that she is able to get involved in gives her a good quality of life.

Our Mum has been a resident at Forefaulds for 2 years. The staff are approachable ,friendly, kind and caring .They have a good rapport with Mum and understand her needs. We are kept updated about any issues or changes. Mum greatly benefits from the variety of daily activities offered . Examples are
baking , gardening, mini golf , entertainers, therapets and crafting.. She has also enjoyed the regular outings for pub lunches and to the seaside in the home minibus Families are welcomed to join for events such as Mother's Day tea and quiz nights . This care facility is situated in an old adapted building but there is excellent maintenance and refurbishment programmes to ensure the residents safety and comfort.

Forefaulds Care Home is an excellent care home for elderly and dementia related residents. The Leadership Team, the Nursing Team and the Care Team are first class.


My Dad has been a resident at the home since mid October 2025, he has many needs and he has settled well. The staff have made a great

effort to integrate him seamlessly and understand him as an individual. I am amazed that in such a short time, the staff recognise me and associate me with my Dad, this really helps at visiting time and when I call for an update. Communication with the staff has been great and this is particularly reassuring when I can't make a visit.


I have seen individual acts of caring by the staff that really gives me comfort that my dad is being well looked after. The food and the variety of menu is quality and wholesome and my Dad is enjoying this aspect, weight gain after many years of the opposite.


My experience of the home is very positive and I would highly recommend to others.

Abercorn Care Home is just an absolute Sanctuary, it is part of the Sanctuary Group and the name is so best appropriate
I would also call it a Hotel for the VIP Residents as they are treated so well and looked after
The Care Home Manager, Assistant Manager, Administrative Manager, Nurses, Staff, Chefs
all work so hard to ensure the Residents are so cared for and attention to detail ix exceptional
Abercorn Care Home is a delight from when you enter, it has a wonderful atmosphere of happiness and it sparkles there is always something going on with the Events Team and they go above and beyond, they are such an inspiration and bring such joy and happiness to not only the Residents but the family and visitors to Abercorn, everyone is included and they are just the best thank you for all you do
I love visiting and they have given my Mum her life back on so many occasions we cannot thank Abercorn and everyone there enough for all they do. Thank you so much

My Dad has been a resident at Abercorn for several months now. I live in England so have only been able to visit a few times, however my Mum visits daily. I know Rowena (the manager) from old, and I am not just saying this - she is such a genuine and caring nurse - she always wants rhe best for her
staff and most importantly her residents.
My Dad's room is small, however he has enough space to live comfortably. The staff are very attentive, and I cannot fault Rowell or Von for the activities - my Dad (and Mum) loves a lunch out!
He was admitted to Abercorn with a pressure injury to his bottom and his heel, which have now healed thanks to Rowena and her Team!
I am looking forward to Visiting Dad in December and going out for some lunch with him and Mum!

Positive .. The staff, always there when they are needed but also happy to come in for a chat and give my mum some company.


My mums room is lovely with French doors facing out the garden. With her en-suite just being refurbished and looking great.


Any problems were addressed immediately.


Always

activities going on from art, boxing, singing, dancing, baking etc
The activity team always coming up with things to do, including days out for the residents.
Loads of events also for all to join in including us the family members.


As a family we a had a tough 6 months caring for my Mum but now we can sleep at night knowing my mum is being cared for and is safe now.
She is loving life, happy and content here.


A big thank you to everyone for the care and attention to my Mum and the family are forever grateful!


My only negative is the car park, lack of spaces, understandably out of your control but maybe a redesign .. moving the bins for more space? Resurface?

We visited Westwood House a few times unexpectedly to see if this would be suitable for our relative. During our visits the staff were very welcoming and friendly! We found this to be the most suitable home for my Gran and what can I say.. it has been fantastic!!! She has become a new woman!


The Carers

and Management Team have been amazing with her and I cannot fault them one bit. Each staff member is approachable and they are happy to deal with any queries that we may have. Nothing is ever an issue. The staff take time to get to know the residents and their families which I think is great.


Westwood house always has activities, fundays and evening events. This allows relatives to keep busy throughout the day and enjoy time with their families. The activity team are brilliant and always looking to plan more fun activities! My Gran loves it!


We as a family are very pleased with the care, compassion and support that is given to my Gran.

My mum has only been here for a few weeks but has been made to feel at home and been so well looked after. The care given by the staff is exemplary. One occasion recently, however, I believe merited further comment. A relatively new carer was attending to a resident who had fallen. The carer was on her own in the lounge at the time. As I approached, I saw the carer realise my husband was trying to stand
up (he is a falls risk). She took the decisive action to rush to my husband's aid. When I thanked her, her response was "the one who had fallen was safe on the floor and so I needed to attend to the other" In my opinion, she showed excellent awareness and decision making, and she is a welcome addition to an already good team.

I cant recommend Westwood house and their team enough. My grandad who recently passed away after living there for 18 months, was always provided the highest standard of care. I can't express how thankful I am to the team for treating him like their own, and most important, their patience. My grandad
faced many challenges since being diagnosed with dementia and the team were always so kind and compassionate towards him, and found the time to listen when he needed it.
There is always something for the residents to do, the activities coordinators do a fantastic job in keeping all resident motivated and happy!
I will be forever grateful to the team at Westwood for all their hard work, patience and care they delivered to my grandad especially in the end stages of his life. I was blown away with the professionalism and standard of care delivered during the most difficult time. Not only for my grandad but for us as a family. We will be forever grateful! 1000/10!

It was with sadness that the time had come for our friend to be placed in full time care due to a combination of circumstances & complex needs. Many homes were visited and researched before deciding Westwood House would best suit her needs. In the time she has been there, we have been very pleased by
the care and support. Team members in every role are kind, helpful & tuned into individuals' needs. Residents are treated with dignity & compassion. The days are punctuated by "treats", e.g. cheese, wine, live music, pamper sessions and purposeful activities and outings. We entered W.H - trusting but with heavy hearts - we no leave after our visits at peace & feeling more lighthearted.

Never too busy to chat, help with queries
A must for every care home good vibes from the very 1st minute
A very hardworking caring team!
Any worries are dealt with quickly and efficiently no concern of a loved one is too big to get dealt with

Staff are very caring and respectful to every resident and they all work extremely hard. Dad has been a resident for approx 6 weeks and the family are kept fully updated on any concerns. All residents are treated with compassion, dignity and respect and their needs are looked after on an individual
basis which can be seen by the way the residents interact with the team at Forefaulds. The residents capable of joining in the activities seem to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Dad seems to be settling really well and developing a great relationship with all the care team
