I would recommend Howard House as my mum has been a resident for about 9 months and she has been very well cared for Nothing is too much The staff are very approachable and will help you if they can There are many activities for residents to take part in

My cousin has only recently moved into the Glenfairn after 16 weeks in hospital. Although the transition has not been easy for her or us, all the staff have been so supportive and welcoming. This has helped her enormously to settle into the care home environment. They are trying hard to encourage her
to take part in all activities and are so kind and caring. The home keeps us fully informed with regular updates on her well being. Her room is beautiful and we hope she continues to settle well into her new home.

Glenfairn has been my Mums home for two years. She is settled, happy and enjoying life in the company of the staff and other residents, and as her daughter I can relax knowing she extremely well cared for and safe 24/7. The staff providing the high level of care, the premises and the services are
exemplary. The investment and refurbishments at Glenfairn have been transformative. There are daily activities for all residents to enjoy as they wish. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. I would highly recommend the Glenfairn family.

My mum completed 1 year residency in January and the change in her is nothing short of amazing, given her diagnosis prior to admission with dementia and end of life prospects. The management team and staff go above and beyond to cater for all families loved ones and is the best decision we have ever
made as a family for my mum's care.

The standards that are set down do exactly what it says on the tin A well oiled machine that recognises needs of safety & hygiene for our loved ones. When leaving you know you have nothing to fear as a safe pair of hands are always available for any needs.

From the moment we first saw Howard House, we knew we had found the right care home for my father in law. In the three years since that day, this has continued to be our view. The staff are wonderful - caring, compassionate and welcoming, and always highly professional. The Manager always makes herself
available to us, the office staff are highly courteous and friendly, and all the staff members we meet - the nurses, carers, cleaners and kitchen staff - could not be warmer; nothing is ever a problem and we are always made to feel so welcome. There are a great deal of activities of all kinds offered, including frequent visits out. My father in law is very content and happy in Howard Horse and the family are so content because of this. It's a superb care home and I can't recommend it enough.

Mum moved into Howard House at the start of August. Due to the caring and supportive staff, Mum has settled in quickly with no significant problems. Mum has some mental confusion, but this seems to have improved, and her physical condition has improved since moving.

My mother has had the best care since moving into this residential home. The staff keep.me up to date with any medical matters and changes to her care . They try to keep her interactions going even though her advanced dementia makes this hard and sometimes you get no response

My mum has been a resident of Glenfairn for a few years and has an excellent standard of care. All the staff from the manager admin kitchen domestic carers and activity are fantastic they are such a friendly bunch and make you feel so welcome nothing is a bother to them. There is regular activities
which unfortunately mum can't always do but they always include my mum and myself too when visiting. I am always kept informed regarding mum. There is regular meetings and newsletters too. Glenfairn is a happy place especially when one member of staff is around.

My aunt was in Glenfairn House Care Home for short time earlier this year. We were so impressed by the attentive care she received and by the caring nature of all the staff. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble for them and they were always so friendly. The home kept us fully informed with regular
updates on the health and wellbeing of my aunt, and any requests were dealt with promptly. Visiting times were very flexible and tea and biscuits were often provided! We looked at several care homes in the area and were so pleased that my aunt secured a place at Glenfairn.

Glenfairn House Care Home, Is a fantastic home for my mum which provides a homely and comfortable environment, all the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and provide genuine care for my mum on a daily basis. There is always lots of activities for the residents and my mum enjoys joining in, and is
encouraged to do so by the staff, and families are welcome to join in with activities also. The staff in the home have good communication with myself and provide regular updates on the wellbeing of my mum. The home keeps families updated on what's happening in the home.
However I have not had opportunity to speak to, or been introduced to the management team which is reflected in my star rating.

In the short period of time my mum has been in Glenfairn I have found the staff very helpful and friendly. Any queries or requests we have had have been dealt with quickly and with a smile. I can already see a difference in my mum's wellbeing and mental health. Everyone is trying to improve her quality

My mum has been a resident at Queens Care Home for over 2yrs now.during this time i have seen her more happier than shed been in yrs previous.This is due to the wonderfull staff at the home.she gets her hair and nails done,does lots of activities and gets proper looked after.The staff go beyond all
my expectations,they are all very helpfull and kind.couldnt wish for more.

All staff and management are friendly and approachable - nothing is too much trouble. Any queries are quickly responded to either by email, telephone or in person. My relative has always been treated with dignity, compassion and kindness. Security is excellent with keypacks accessing gates to stairs
and front entrance, which has recently been renovated. There are varied age appropriate activities on every day. I brilliant nursing care home run by wonderful staff.

We are very impressed with the relationship the staff have built up with Mum, getting to know her likes and dislikes. She is now in a room much more suited to her and has settled well. Mum has acknowledged how grateful she is to have 24 hour care to support her. The staff are friendly and approachable
and the place has a welcoming atmosphere.

This is a lovely Care Home.
The staff go above and beyond what is expected of them.
Food is very good and there are lots of activities if the residents want to join in.
My mum has settled in really well.

Father has now been in Howard House Care Home for over 2 years and is very content. He enjoys a comfortable life with the friendly staff. He has made new friends with other residents. He has become very understanding of other residents difficulties and is always willing to learn more. He enjoys the
food and games. It is very helpful to all members of the family that many activities and information is put on the Facebook page. Staff are always very helpful on the phone if I have any issues. New staff this year have made remarkable improvements in care of both body and mind.
The new lift has been installed at last but still has a noticeable bad smell. Although the new boiler has been installed, the radiator thermostats do not work and has been mentioned constantly for many months through the heat of summer and cold winter. Extra heaters have not helped and is causing unhealthy conditions in the room for Dad's chest infections.

My gran currently resides in Queens Care Home and has done so for some years. The care at Queens is second to none. Before going to Queens my gran was lonely and then due to health never managed to get out to her clubs. Now she lives in Queens and her home is now packed with days of fun-filled activities
and laughter. I have seen her shine since being there and that's due to the fact she is very much at home. I cannot thank all the staff at Queens enough not just the carers but all the staff who work very hard to make sure all the residents are happy and as healthy as can be. I would recommend this home to anyone who asks!
