One of my friends moved into Juniper House last year and it has been great to watch how she has thrived in there.
She's enjoying the social life and activities and although with age there are physical issues, mentally she seems to be back to her old self with life at Juniper House helping her to make
a full recovery.
As a visitor I've also been impressed with all aspects of the care she receives

The care team are amazing, so gentle, patient and compassionate. They take such good care of Grandma and are very alert and reactive if she doesn't seem herself, this really does give peace of mind to the family. Grandma is treated with dignity and her care needs are well catered for always.

A real home from home.
Mum initially went to Regent for 2 weeks respite care, to allow us to go on holiday without having to worry so much. On our return mum asked whether she would be able to stay.
We made mum's room personal to her, taking in various furniture, curtains, bedding, pictures
etc. She made new friends at Regent, not only with the residents, but also their families as well as the staff. The staff are AMAZING, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Paul and the management team will do anything they can to help too, they are open to any ideas. Approachable and friendly at all times. Like our own homes - sometimes there can be problems, but if you report any problems they will be solved quickly.
When my mum approached end of life I was able to 'move in' - I stayed with mum for 3 days and nights, to be with her at all times. As always all the staff and management couldn't help enough.
Words are not adequate for my review. I cannot thank everyone enough.

My mother who has Alzheimer's became a permanent resident at Beechwood approximately 3 months ago. It was a difficult time for the family but especially my father who had been her primary carer for several years. Beechwood has a lovely friendly, homely & happy atmosphere & the staff made mum
feel safe from day one. It took a while to for mum to settle which we were informed it could take several weeks. The staff are noticeably a happy team & are always willing to help answer any questions or concerns we have. Beechwood has a varied entertainment & activity programme including gardening, singing, crafting, themed days & mum's favourite the local toddler group visits once a month. A hairdressing service is available every Thursday which is the highlight of mum's week.
Beechwood is a lovely care home made special by the caring professional staff & knowing we have made the right choice for mum.

Hastings Residential Care Home

from Ruth P (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
In the week after his 104th birthday my fiercely independent father asked to go into a care home. He was cared for at Hastings until he finally laid down the burden of extreme old age aged 109 years and 9 days. Under the present management the care given to him was very good and the overall atmosphere
was cheerful and positive; when I walked through the home everyone greeted me with a smile. The care staff seemed to be genuinely fond of Dad; some were outstandingly empathetic.
The manager and her deputy were excellent; they really did want to hear about any problems that arose and dealt with these thoroughly and promptly.
In his final week of life, Dad's care at Hastings supported by the District Nurse Team and GP, was very good. Delivering social care in the present economic climate is extremely demanding; I think that it would be difficult to find anywhere doing this better than at Hastings.

Mom stayed at Juniper House for 8 days in March while we had a break. She was a bit aprehensive as she had an unpleasant experience with a previous care home. Finding the right care home for my dad, who has dementia, was incredibly important to me, and I truly feel relieved to have found Westmead. What stands out most is how genuinely caring and attentive the staff are-they go above and beyond every day to ensure residents feel valued, included, and comfortable.

I

especially appreciate the wide range of activities offered, many of which are thoughtfully tailored to reflect the residents' interests and past lives. It's clear that there's a real effort to maintain a sense of identity and joy for everyone living there.

Knowing that my dad is happy, safe, and so well cared for gives me enormous peace of mind. I'm very grateful for everything the team at Westmead does.

Everyone at Westmead is friendly, and they are very caring. My husband has been a resident for more than two years, and I have a regular update on him, which is reassuring. He has several issues, but if there is a problem, it is dealt with and if he needs help, they are always there. There are lots
