It felt like home from home. Everyone was very friendly and caring. I didn't need a lot of attention as I was in for respite care, but I was allowed my independence and help was there if needed. We were well fed.

My husband attends Beechwood as a Day Care User once a week. I was a bit anxious as to how he would react to this but it is working out much better than I could have expected. My husband asks each day if he is going. He clearly enjoys himself. From the moment we enter the doors we are greeted
and my husband is immediately engaged in conversation about what he is having for lunch which distracts him from worrying about leaving me. He goes off happily which sets my mind at rest. When I collect him he is always quite content and the staff give me a brief outline of what he has been doing. There seems to be a variety of activities on offer and he especially welcomes the chance to chat with other people. I am so confident the my husband will be well looked after that we have booked some respite care for him later this year.

Regent Residential Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our dad stayed with Regent for around 5 weeks for respite care.  It's always an anxious period leaving your loved ones in the care of others.  Dad settled in quicky and any apprehensions we had as a family were very quickly dismissed.  The care shown by all the care and admin staff was wonderful and
respectful.  During his stay he was taken out on a trip, out for drinks, out for restaurant meal, and as a celebratory leaving meal, an Italian dinner was delivered for him and some of the residents joined him. The thoughts behind the excursions and outing were personally chosen to suit dad.  The home is like one big family, and has a lovely feel and atmosphere.  We would not hesitate to recommend Regent, as our experience was so positive and beyond our expectations.  Thank you to everyone for looking after our cheeky lovely dad !

When Regent say they are a family, they are 100% correct! The genuine love and care the staff showed Dad during his respite stay was outstanding; each and every staff member takes the time to get to know the residents on a truly personal level and interact with warmth and love. This welcome is extended
to family members, who are kept informed and also shown care and understanding.
The enrichment activities and trips out were a particularly point that sets Regency apart from other care homes as they were personal to Dad. They are carefully considered and planned and was like going out with a treasured friend.
If you're looking for a home from home, with a built in family that will give outstanding and professional specialised care, then I would not hesitate to recommend Regent. Management took the time to chat to me about looking after Dad once he leaves with the offer of being able to call for advice, as well as signposting me to useful resources.
Thank you Regent for being AMAZING!!

My mother in law has been a resident at Heathlands since 2019. I visit her regularly and have seen how staff are proactive in adapting to her changing needs. She is respected as an individual and often comments on how happy she is. Staff, in every role, are very professional, supportive and approachable.
They manage to be efficient whilst always friendly and caring. My mother in law loves her room, her meals and the wide range of activities which she is encouraged to join in.
We are so grateful that she is safe and content, retaining some independence in her en-suite room, whilst receiving the levels of care that she now needs. From the Coronavirus pandemic to this year's extreme heat, staff continue to be remarkable in their ability to cope with additional pressures and still ensure the wellbeing of residents. They have also got to know us very well, as her son and daughter in law, and always show us kindness and consideration. They're never too busy too listen. Thank you!

Regent came highly recommended and this was a big factor in our decision to place our relative there. Initially the placement was successful. Mum's needs were well met and we felt it was the right choice. However, Mum's needs quickly became more complex, we no longer felt that the home could provide
adequate care. There are some areas that could do with some improvement and we have had a full and frank discussion with the management team about this. Do your research, be aware that as your loved ones needs change, you may need to reconsider your options. Talk to the care home team, have open discussions about any concerns you may have. Keep the lines of communication open, do not be afraid to do this, they are the specialists but it doesn't mean you shouldn't have involvement in your loved one's care. The staff who looked after Mum are lovely and we saw demonstrations of care and patience in some very challenging times. Following discussion with the management we decided to change homes.

My Dad moved to Hastings Care Home in late May 2025 suffering from heart related complications (including medication side effects) with a view to being a permanent resident. Despite moving in at short notice, all the staff were extremely helpful in completing a quick transition to the home and helping
my Dad settle in. His room was clean and modern with an excellent ensuite bathroom and I have been impressed by the staff, facilities and food provided.

With the support of the staff at Hastings my Dad's condition was reassessed and more appropriate medication prescribed allowing him to return to his own home and become independent again. This was only possible with their experience. Excellent care.

I cannot rate this home highly enough. The staff work hard to make residents feel valued, safe and part of a family. There is an ethos of inclusion not just in the home but also with the wider community. The residents can and are encouraged to take part in a range of daily activities. The staff are

From my first visit here, I have been impressed with the caring, calm and friendly atmosphere. This first impression has continued through the week while my husband has been here for respite care. All the staff have been so patient with him and so reassuring to me whenever I have called. I know he would
rather be at home with me at his 'beck and call', but I really, really have needed this break. To know that he is in such good hands has enabled me to relax and catch up on sleep and my own life. It is a lovely place.

My mother was fortunate to reside in Juniper House for past 8 years, until she passed at the end of April. The home is friendly, well led and safe. Mum was always very happy and all her needs were met. I was always informed of any changes in mums health. Any issues that I raised were addressed quickly
and efficiently. Care staff work very hard, they are patient and always have the residents best interest at heart. I spent two weeks with mum as the end approached, I have nothing but admiration for the staff, they work so hard, in an often challenging environment, they always had a smile and their patience is commendable. Well done Juniper! and thank you.

From our first enquiry to the final days, the team at Heathlands have been amazing. The whole team - managers, admin, team leaders and care staff, catering, domestic and maintenance, activities coordinator - made us feel welcome and part of the family.
So many fun times and quality life experiences.
When the sensitive times came, we were able to trust in the advice given and call upon the wealth of experience among the staff team to guide and reassure us.
When I think about Heathlands, the staff team and the last ten months they have been part of our lives, I smile, even at a sad time, there were so many happy memories and encouraging conversations.
The only words to describe them all - friendly, caring, patient, professional, compassionate and knowledgeable.
Thank you to them all x
