From gardening in the home’s allotment, visits from local school children, to trips out in the minibus to all sorts of attractions, from an animal petting farm and the Black Country Living Museum to the beach at Weston-Super-Mare, there is so much to do.
The residents enjoy regular visits from pet therapy dog Dusty, as well as lots of other animals, including guinea pigs. There is so much entertainment, from magicians to singers. And chair yoga is one of many gentle exercises the residents enjoy.
As well as providing residential and dementia care, Regent also offers pre-bookable respite care breaks, which are ideal for carers who would like a short break themselves, knowing their loved one is in safe hands.
The residents recently had front row seat when two of the staff recreated their wedding in the home, because they couldn’t invite everyone to their big day. They wore their wedding attire, read their vows and cut the cake all over again, so their residents could be there with them!
The team are passionate about enriching their residents’ lives and supporting them to have a very active role to play in how their home is run. For example, there is a resident ambassador, who helps new residents to settle into the home, as well as supporting with staff interviews.
The home itself has a warm family feel, with lots of lovely areas to enjoy. There are lots of lounge and dining areas, and a hairdresser visits twice a week for appointments in the salon.
The gardens are stunning, with a water feature and an allotment plot, where the residents love growing produce to use in the kitchens, where delicious home-cooked food is prepared by the chef. Many of the bedrooms, which have ensuite bathrooms, have patio doors leading to the gardens.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1416 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Maintenence of room facilities has taken an inordinate time to be repaired. The care home is often understaffed which has a knock on effect on her care. Despite having many items of tagged clothing, many have gone missing/damaged. Mum enjoys taking part in activities, although these are impacted by staff availability. Care home appears clean in communal areas, residents are able to move freely within the home but further support is needed for my mum.

The staff do a difficult job at times, but they all work hard, have patience, understanding and show the best care and respect for their residents. The Regent Care Home is homely and has a family feel to it. I am glad my mother resides in this home with this staff.

The care team are amazing, so gentle, patient and compassionate. They take such good care of Grandma and are very alert and reactive if she doesn't seem herself, this really does give peace of mind to the family. Grandma is treated with dignity and her care needs are well catered for always.

His time at Regent has been a happy time and it became clear very quickly that he had settled. Sadly for the last three weeks of his life he was quite confused at times and became quite ill. The care given to him and to us as a family was fantastic - so caring of us all. I'll be grateful forever. Thank you.

I cannot recommend this home highly enough. The staff are amazing, they are so caring, happy and nothing is too much trouble. Our dad stayed with Regent for around 5 weeks for respite care. It's always an anxious period leaving your loved ones in the care of others. Dad settled in quicky and any apprehensions we had as a family were very quickly dismissed. The care shown by all the care and admin staff was wonderful and respectful. During his stay he was taken out on a trip, out for drinks, out for restaurant meal, and as a celebratory leaving meal, an Italian dinner was delivered for him and some of the residents joined him. The thoughts behind the excursions and outing were personally chosen to suit dad. The home is like one big family, and has a lovely feel and atmosphere. We would not hesitate to recommend Regent, as our experience was so positive and beyond our expectations. Thank you to everyone for looking after our cheeky lovely dad !

Regent came highly recommended and this was a big factor in our decision to place our relative there. Initially the placement was successful. Mum's needs were well met and we felt it was the right choice. However, Mum's needs quickly became more complex, we no longer felt that the home could provide adequate care. There are some areas that could do with some improvement and we have had a full and frank discussion with the management team about this. Do your research, be aware that as your loved ones needs change, you may need to reconsider your options. Talk to the care home team, have open discussions about any concerns you may have. Keep the lines of communication open, do not be afraid to do this, they are the specialists but it doesn't mean you shouldn't have involvement in your loved one's care. The staff who looked after Mum are lovely and we saw demonstrations of care and patience in some very challenging times. Following discussion with the management we decided to change homes.

A year or so later a sudden decision needed to be made for him to have emergency respite .. Thankfully we had an excellent social worker who worked with us and with the manager at Regent to enable my Dad to go to his and our first place of choice which was Regent . The setting , the staff, the garden , the activities on offer and the kindness and respect given to residence are very good. It feels as homely as can be possible and welcoming . If we have any concerns they are always listened to and when my father was unwell and declined they managed him very well. He has since rallied , is content and that is testament to the care he receives .

When you meet activities coordinator Helen, she exudes so much energy and passion that it’s easy to see why she’s stayed at Regent Residential Care Home in Worcester for 13 years.
“I absolutely love it,” she says. “It’s arriving in the morning and seeing the residents’ faces light up as they say, ‘What are we going to do today?”
For Helen, the most important part of her role is knowing she is enriching the lives of her residents every day.
