View Full Details of Regent Residential Care HomeMum is now 100 years and 8 months! Has been in Regent since 2018. I have never regretted the home Mum moved into Regent, it was home from home for her and peace of mind for me. She has had some health issues, understandable at her age, and I have had regular updates from the team. The Manager and Deputy are amazing, as are the rest of the team. Low staff turnover says it all, these guys are dedicated, I will continue to post how Regent is an all-around care home. Thanks
Our dad stayed with Regent for around 5 weeks for respite care. It's always an anxious period leaving your loved ones in the care of others. Dad settled in quicky and any apprehensions we had as a family were very quickly dismissed. The care shown by all the care and admin staff was wonderful and respectful. During his stay he was taken out on a trip, out for drinks, out for restaurant meal, and as a celebratory leaving meal, an Italian dinner was delivered for him and some of the residents joined him. The thoughts behind the excursions and outing were personally chosen to suit dad. The home is like one big family, and has a lovely feel and atmosphere. We would not hesitate to recommend Regent, as our experience was so positive and beyond our expectations. Thank you to everyone for looking after our cheeky lovely dad !
When Regent say they are a family, they are 100% correct! The genuine love and care the staff showed Dad during his respite stay was outstanding; each and every staff member takes the time to get to know the residents on a truly personal level and interact with warmth and love. This welcome is extended to family members, who are kept informed and also shown care and understanding. The enrichment activities and trips out were a particularly point that sets Regency apart from other care homes as they were personal to Dad. They are carefully considered and planned and was like going out with a treasured friend. If you're looking for a home from home, with a built in family that will give outstanding and professional specialised care, then I would not hesitate to recommend Regent. Management took the time to chat to me about looking after Dad once he leaves with the offer of being able to call for advice, as well as signposting me to useful resources. Thank you Regent for being AMAZING!!
Regent came highly recommended and this was a big factor in our decision to place our relative there. Initially the placement was successful. Mum's needs were well met and we felt it was the right choice. However, Mum's needs quickly became more complex, we no longer felt that the home could provide adequate care. There are some areas that could do with some improvement and we have had a full and frank discussion with the management team about this. Do your research, be aware that as your loved ones needs change, you may need to reconsider your options. Talk to the care home team, have open discussions about any concerns you may have. Keep the lines of communication open, do not be afraid to do this, they are the specialists but it doesn't mean you shouldn't have involvement in your loved one's care. The staff who looked after Mum are lovely and we saw demonstrations of care and patience in some very challenging times. Following discussion with the management we decided to change homes.
I cannot rate this home highly enough. The staff work hard to make residents feel valued, safe and part of a family. There is an ethos of inclusion not just in the home but also with the wider community. The residents can and are encouraged to take part in a range of daily activities. The staff are welcoming, approachable and always have time to listen. My mum has settled well and enjoys her days in Regent.
I would highly recommend Regents Residential Care Home . Moving a loved one into a residential setting is very emotional huge family decision , often made complicated by ill health. We visited Regent a couple of years ago with my father with a view to possible respite if my mother was unwell , as she cared for him 24 hours. A year or so later a sudden decision needed to be made for him to have emergency respite .. Thankfully we had an excellent social worker who worked with us and with the manager at Regent to enable my Dad to go to his and our first place of choice which was Regent . The setting , the staff, the garden , the activities on offer and the kindness and respect given to residence are very good. It feels as homely as can be possible and welcoming . If we have any concerns they are always listened to and when my father was unwell and declined they managed him very well. He has since rallied , is content and that is testament to the care he receives .
My mum lived in Regent for about 18 months after it became apparent she was no longer safe living in sheltered, independent, accommodation due to dementia. Every single member of staff there was brilliant, and so caring. The food was so much better than one would expect in a care home. The care and attention given to my mum was second to none. Rooms are spacious and kept very clean and tidy. The activities ladies are very good and arrange plenty of activities in the home and away from it. There are regular visits from therapy dogs, which go down very well with residents, staff, and visitors. I'd always take mum's dog in when I went to visit my mum and she was always made very welcome by everyone too. I cannot fault the place and was rather sad when mum's needs became necessary for her to move into a nursing home. I have, however, recommended Regent to everyone and my best mate's mum has since moved in there.
I wish to express my heart felt thanks to all the staff at Regent house Worcester. My mum has now been a resident for the past 2 years due to her dementia. I have just returned from a 3 week holiday to see my daughter in Australia and the staff ensured I hadn't nothing to worry about whilst I was away. I was able to see she was very happy via the home's social media private page which was reassuring. The staff are all so kind and meet the residents individual needs. Regent house is certainly a home from home. Thankyou again to everyone for ensuring my mum is kept happy, safe and well.
Wow! Regent opened up Sunday Lunch to families for Mother's Day. I booked in along with my daughters. Mum had a lovely time; the St John's Lounge was used. A table beautifully presented, flowers on the table etc. We were provided with waitress service, it was great fun. We usually take Mum out but she had been poorly. The lovely, attentive staff made it perfect! Thank you to all involved, as I always spend Mother's Day with Mum and was worried, but Regent made it very special. Great success.
My mother has settled in well and happy within her environment. She is well able to communicate and mix with other residents, which is important to her. Her mobility is becoming difficult because of her bad knee but she insists to continue to walk as much as possible. There is always a welcoming response when mum returns, all staff look after mothers needs. I am well informed of any change to her medication. Activities organised within the home are much appreciated.
My dad recently spent time in hospital and Regent care were most attentive in keeping in contact re: Dad. There was an unfortunate issue on Dad's return where he had lost his wallet containing £40, the care home were genuinely concerned about this and were most sincere dealing with this situation. Wallet was located and everyone was appeased. All the staff are exceptional with their friendliness and care. On this particular issue staff was genuine and caring which meant a lot to me and know dad will have appreciated this.
Dad has only been in a short time, the staff have been excellent in both his care and settling him in. We have found the service to be great with both us the family and all our questions have been answered.
Fantastic home, friendly, helpful staff. Mum feels at home and has all the attention and care anyone could ask for. The home is clean and tidy and all the staff treat mum with full dignity and respect.
My Auntie and godmother was a resident of regent care school road, for over 7 years . I cant praise them enough the staff were amazing so thoughtful and caring ,nothing was too much trouble for them . I don't live close by and could only drive over about every two weeks but I spoke to my auntie every day twice normally sometimes more lol. If ever her mobile was playing up or she couldn't find it i would phone the home and they always went out of their way to find it for her .If I was worried in any way about her i was never afraid to speak to staff and they always informed me if my auntie had a problem with health. she loved the staff and would praise them herself she was a very Intelligent lady and private and sometimes liked to stay in her room they always respected her decision . The staff gave support to us as a family in sad times as well .I'd especially like to praise staff who welcome you to the home you should be proud of this amazing home .thankyou so much.
Having recently had Dad into a care home it has given me confidence that he is well looked after and safe which for a long time has been a big worry. Regents have done a great job of settling him in. Thank you.
Mum has been at Regent Residential Care Home for five months. We are amazed at how she has settled. Mum was very anxious and often agitated due to her dementia, however she is happy and relaxed at Regent. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and caring, Mum loves them. There is always something going on and Mum regularly enjoys trips out. Keep up the great work!
In general my stay at Regent House has been satisfactory marred in my opinion by a shortage of staff. Problem with recruitment or finances I don't know. Too much is asked from the staff there are and therefore because I'm unable to move around I need two helpers and often have to wait as long as an hour or even more to go to the toilet. Medical help is not easily available - district nurse etc, the laundry and cleaner are very good, friendly. I do need them to keep my room in order as I like it. Always a choice of food and a frequent cup of tea is good. The manager is very approachable, listens, and acts when I've had to say the part.
Went to see my best friend's wife. Have been in a lot of homes but this was the best, lovely caring people, was very impressed. Thank you.
I researched & visited a lot of care homes before opting for Regent. It stood out - mainly for the calibre of the staff. On my initial visit (unannounced), I met the management team and saw other staff in action. All gave me their time selflessly, were effortlessly friendly & answered all of my questions brilliantly. My Dad has been there for 2 weeks and I have to say I am utterly delighted with how it's panning out. Regent exhibits a calm, can-do attitude that is hugely comforting. They are attentive & seem to genuinely want to get to know my Dad in order to help him in the best ways possible. I personally approach gushing reviews with a bit of scepticism, but Regent has truly delivered beyond my hopes and expectations. It's easy to criticise poor service but so much harder to praise without sounding insincere. But the care of a loved one is about as personal as a service can get: I can only applaud & be grateful for what Regent are achieving on a daily basis. It's truly impressive.
Always really friendly service. The staff are top-notch, working in extremes an for very poor money. I really appreciate all everybody does! Thank you!
