My Dad moved to Mull Hall in January 26.
He has been made to feel incredibly welcome, as have we as his family. The staff are always kind, approachable, and nothing is ever too much trouble. They work tirelessly to meet the individual needs of every resident, ensuring everyone feels comfortable, valued, and well cared for.

There is a wide variety of activities available, usually every day, offering something to suit everyone's interests. The staff consistently go above and beyond to provide a warm, caring, and supportive environment, and we are truly grateful for the exceptional care they give.

All staff are very professional, caring and helpful , my mum took a while to settle in but I know that she is safe and starting to enjoy her surroundings. They offer a good variety of activities and mum particularly likes the music afternoons. My mother has a good appetite and really enjoys the food at Kintyre House. Her needs are being met and she is being well looked after. They have lots of outside seating areas and a beautiful garden at the rear of the property with plenty of seating available. They can also be taken for walks around the nearby Saltburn Community woods.

As a recent newcomer to Kintyre house, I am delighted in a kindness and professionalism of your staff. The food is good and the ambience is excellent, particularly relating to the conservatory dining area. Activities are regular and varied to suit all ages and health condition of the residence. It does make one feel very much at home for elderly people who due to their health and age would find leaving their old homes hard to accept.

I have personally had a few health issues requiring hospitalisation in the short while that I have been here and the staff have been most attentive.

Review of Mull Hall Care Home from Carol B (Daughter of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I feel I want to leave a review even though mum sadly passed away in May this year.
This was mum's home from home. She referred to Mull Hall as her home which can only be done if one feels it 'is' home. Mum felt safe, comfortable and at ease in her surroundings which gave us peace of mind. She settled in from Day 1 (July 2022) and soon became used to her surroundings, having been made to feel very welcome. Mum was able to express herself and have fun with residents and staff alike. Mum's life was enriched once she became a resident at Mull Hall - her circle of friends increased and she loved the social aspect of her new surroundings - the trips, the activities, not least the cheerful banter. All of those are so important during latter stages of life.

As a family member, I have always found the atmosphere to be friendly within and the staff approachable. I like that it is light and airy throughout. I've taken great comfort in the knowledge that mum was safe, comfortable and happy.

Overall Experience

Kintyre Care Home has made an amazing turnaround in the quality of care they provide. My mum's constant medical and personal needs are now met with consistency, urgency, and genuine attention. When something goes wrong, staff escalate issues quickly and keep me fully informed. They're approachable, easy to speak to, and open to concerns or ideas that support my mum's best interests. The atmosphere in the home has improved massively, communication is clearer, and the working relationship between families and staff feels stronger and more positive. Overall, the service has gone from poor to truly excellent.

My mum went to Mull Hall in Jan/feb last year, a very stressful time when considering a loved one needing to go into care, however the kind caring and professional ways of the manageress and staff made this an easier move. Nothing is too much.
The cracking atmosphere and banter between residents and staff is superb.
The photos on social media are a delight especially as I'm away a lot out of the country, I can still see who's doing what ..
I can highly recommend this home and the lovely staff , they certainly made this move a lot easier and to see my mum happy and safe, well that's all we're wanting but they go above and beyond. Very happy.

Hetty xx

Overall Experience
My father, who has dementia, became a resident at Kintyre House in 2023, and I have been extremely pleased with the care he has received. While his condition has naturally progressed during this time, the standard of care has remained consistently excellent. Most importantly, he is clearly safe, comfortable, and well looked after, which gives us great peace of mind.
There has been a change in the management team recently, and the improvements have been very noticeable. There is a strong sense of organisation, leadership, and commitment to high standards, which is reflected in the overall quality of care provided.
Our son, who is a paramedic, visits many care homes-most of which rely heavily on agency staff who may not know the residents well. He is always reassured to see the same dedicated and familiar team caring for his grandfather as when he first arrived.

Although we live some distance away, we visit regularly, and the staff are consistently excellent at keeping in touch.

My Mother has been in Mull Hall for 6 years. I have nothing but praise for the manager and all the staff, they are very kind and attentive to Mam and nothing is to much trouble. When I go to visit they are very kind and easy to talk too and put my mind at ease. Always a cup of tea on the go too. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone that has the difficult decision to put a loved one into care.

I cannot recommend this care home highly enough. The staff are absolutely amazing - kind, caring, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. Knowing that my Nana is safe, comfortable, and genuinely well looked after gives our whole family such peace of mind.
The level of care and attention she receives is outstanding, and it's clear that the staff truly care about the residents' wellbeing and happiness. The home is welcoming, clean, and has a lovely atmosphere.

Review of The Meadows Nursing Home from L M (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 May 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My mother is a long term resident @ The Meadows following on from a stroke. The staff are excellent and thankfully the facilities are now getting the time and money spent on them. Unfortunately the bedrooms could do with more space with ensuite facilities but appreciate this is probably a longterm wish. My main concern now is the withdrawel of the home bus - my mother is wheelchair dependant but loved her trips out in the bus for some unknown reason the bus has been removed from service though a 'shared' bus has been purposed. Taking this vital asset from the home needs to be rethinked please for the sake of the residents.

I am overall pleased with my mums care. However I am disappointed to see that the minibus has been withdrawn. The activities staff do well with the resources they have, but not being able to attend or visit local and further afield events will have a negative impact on the residents welfare. I would like to see the minibus being returned.

My sister moved into Mull Hall after a 6 months period in Hospital.

With no family near to Invergordon, coupled with the fact that I live overseas, I was very concerned that my sister should be safe and secure in comfortable surroundings. My concerns have all disappeared and I can say that I am now completely at ease with the environment that my sister is now in. The staff at Mull Hall are very capable and show empathy for all the residents that they have to care for.
