Review of Woodland Residential Care Home from Alison G (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mum has been at Woodlands for 5 weeks now and has settled well. Im very impressed by the ratio of staff to residents. Mum seems calm and well looked after despite the quick progression of her dementia. There always seems plenty to do and there are plenty of smiling faces, both staff & resident. All staff have been very supportive & friendly. The home is also lovely and clean and has a homely atmosphere.

Cedar Grange was always clean & tidy on visits, as was our godmother. Staff were polite, helpful, friendly & caring. They always appeared happy too, nothing was a problem for them. Review of Blackwood Residential Care Home from Marilyn C (Wife of Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website

I continue to find staff friendly and efficient. There is a wide range of activities to excite residents and keep them busy. The parties and special events always look as if residents are having fun. It is lovely to see them laughing. My husband loves the garden and a chat with staff.
He likes the food! And enjoys talking with the chef.
The idea of a special residents day is lovely and I know my husband enjoys these days.

Staff come across as a united team working together to support residents.

Review of Redannick Residential and Nursing Home from Kerry M (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I cannot speak highly enough of the care my mother received. The Care Team are exceptional as are all the staff who work there. The staff were all friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. My Mum was treated with dignity and respect. The home is very clean and the facilities are sufficient and functional. The Food was nutritious, tasty, well presented and varied. There are regular events held which the residents and family are encouraged to join in with.
My family members and myself were made to feel very welcome. I was so close to my mother and the staff recognised that and respected this. All the staff were a great support to me throughout. I would have been lost without them. I was never made to feel a nuisance and was allowed to stay with my mum as long as I wanted. All the staff would greet me by name when I arrived and they became my new family for the short while my mum was there. I miss seeing them all very much.

I thoroughly recommend Redannick to everyone.

Review of St Breock Residential Care Home from Nick E (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 22 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Aunt is in her 90's she has been in full time care at St Breock for 18 month's. On admission she was in poor health and struggled with the transition from living independantly in her own home to living in the care home. The first 6 months were pretty tough for all concerned and to be honest I did question wether or not we had made the correct decision by putting my Aunt into care at St Breock. My concerns were put to rest as my Aunts health and wellbeing started to improve which is predominantley a direct result of the overall care and attention she has received at St Breock.

I fully endorse the comments other reviewers have made about the calibre of the the staff and the overall good performance of the home. Communication is also very good, with phone, texts and emails used to good effect keeping us informed. We all want our loved ones to be safe, happy and well cared for and that is exactly what St Breock Care Home delivers every day for those they care for.

Reply from Jacob Hardie, Reviews team at St Breock Residential Care Home

Unfortunately this will be my final review on Pengover Care Home as my mother passed away in April after spending three happy years in Pengover. Her care during that time was amazing and I would recommend anyone whose family member needs to go into care that Pengover would be a fantastic place for them. It has always been a pleasure to visit several times a week, which I will miss.

Review of Penberthy Residential Care Home from L D (Regular Volunteer) published on 1 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The staff are always friendly and helpful. They are caring of every resident; knowing each individual and their specific needs.
The residents go on outings or have people/groups come in to sing, entertain and/or socialize. The staff also put on special events; for example, they had a birthday outing for a particular resident at a special location and invited her work friends from 40 or 50 years ago as a special surprise. It was a joy for all involved!
Penberthy has a lovely private garden where the residents can relax in the sunshine and peaceful outdoors.

I enjoy volunteering at Penberthy where the residents are well cared for by the great staff in a comfortable, bright and clean environment.
