I visit my mother who is a resident in this wonderful care home. I always find the place to be clean and the environment as a happy place. The carers are all very friendly and welcoming and look after my mother very well. The food they serve is delicious too as I have had lunch with my mother on occasions.
The manager is very hands on and caring often seen walking around and talking to residents. Overall an excellent place for our mum who is well cared for and happy in this place.

The Manse care home is a kind calm environment which has a real family feel.
The rooms and communal areas are kept spotlessly clean.
The staff are so attentive and kind to the residents, any issues are dealt with promptly ( illness/conditions/ personal care needs).
Residents are offered various activities,
games music, arts and crafts and a birthday party is held for each resident.
I cannot recommend this home highly enough.

Shaftesbury Court Residential Care Home

from James M (Son of Resident) published on 27 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum moved into Shaftesbury Court earlier this year and I couldn't be happier with the care she's receiving. I've witnessed the compassion and empathy shown by the staff as mum settled in and it's a great reassurance to know she is in safe hands.
Over the last few years, mum became quite isolated,
living alone and struggling with dementia. Shaftesbury Court has given her the chance to socialise with others, take part in regular activities and maintain some independence. She has her own room with a small kitchen and was able to bring many of her possessions from home.
There are good days and bad days of course but the staff (and the other residents) are all so supportive that mum is doing better than she has for a long time. Really thankful to everyone at Shaftesbury Court for taking care of her.

I only have praise for this home!!! My mum-in- law (Marie) has moderate vascular dementia and the care she is receiving here is absolutely wonderful. The staff are just brilliant with her, and she is looking far better than she has ever been since her diagnosis. Her room is light and airy with a lovely
balcony overlooking the garden. The building itself and the communal facilities are well-kept, clean and bright. The staff really care about her welfare and go above and beyond. I am so impressed at how friendly and patient they are and they have really helped ease my and my husband's worries about mum's welfare. They are also proactive in terms of suggesting things that could be improved for my mum's care - and that counts for a lot!! They also have really good safekeeping procedures in place which has further contributed to easing our worries about mum's welfare. Thank you very much to Olu and every single member of the team for all the help with mum, brilliant job!

My aunt has been a resident at Aashna House residential Care Home since September 2025. I can honestly say that I cannot speak highly enough about the Care Home. The rooms and facilities are excellent but what is more appreciating is the care and support that is provided by the staff. They are very
friendly and treat both the visitors and the residents with upmost respect and dignity. My aunt's health, both mental and physical, has improved since residing at Aashna House. I cannot thank enough the wonderful staff for the care and support they've provided to my aunty.

My mum has been a resident for 4 years now. Her Alzheimer's has gradually got worse and now unfortunately she does not recognise me or any family. There has been a high turnover of staff but the services provided are good. My mum is being cared for well and even though she does not really know what
is happening, she seems generally content. The food is excellent and physically she is looking well. The care home manager is very friendly caring and very helpful. I would warmly recommend Aashna House.

Aashna House has cared for my dad like family. The home is warm, calm, spotlessly clean, and the kindness, dignity and patience shown to residents is exceptional.
My dad has dementia and has completely bloomed here. He arrived at 56kg and is now 73kg , he's stronger, happier, and his condition feels
stable. Friends and family often comment on how well he looks.
Smita is the heart of Aashna House, and the teamwork she leads is outstanding. My dad's main carers, Anil and Sandeep, are incredible , he trusts them deeply, which means everything to us. Management and team leaders are always warm, responsive and supportive.
They've made us feel like family too. I couldn't fault Aashna House and would recommend it without hesitation.

I wanted a Sanctuary care home after experience with another of their homes, Sanctuary seem to focus on residents and care first and let everything else follow.
I didn't want or consider Erith as a location but calculated it to be accessible and I realised my mum, once settled, wouldn't be aware of
the difference between Erith and locations in Greenwich.
My mum has lived at the home for a week now and, her life and mine have changed for the better. My mum arguably wasn't this happy, looked after and attended to when she was staying at my house. Totally recommended on every level, more like a hotel than the normal care home.
Thank you to Olu and all the staff here - wonderful people, you are making the world a better place.

My parents have been residents at Aashna House for just over 18 months. I am very pleased to say that although the previous year has been challenging for my parents health wise, the Team are excellent. My father did not want to go to hospital so the carers and nursing at home team looked after him very
well at Aashna House. Thankfully, my father's health improved due to the care he received. The food and activities are both very good. The home is always so clean and a pleasure to visit. The residents are treated with kindness which is so important.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My sister has been in Aashna House for over 3 years after being with me for 12 years so I have been very closely concerned with the care she is receiving.
Recently I spent Diwali function held at the carehome. It was deeply satisfying to see the happiness on the faces of all the residents. How everyone
was included in rejoicing and encouraged to sing and clap. Even the ones whose relatives were not present. All celebrations such as Christmas, Eid, New Year are also rejoiced.
Individual needs and health issues are constantly monitored. My sister is getting physiotherapy to improve her mobility. She has been given a zimmer frame and a wheelchair which can be used when needed as her tremors have increased.
Not only does the carehome provide for physical needs but also provide spiritual care by allocating a room to be used where clients of different religion can congregate and conduct their prayers.
The carehome is clean, calm and very peaceful thus creating a positive atmosphere.
Reply from Kate Czeczko, Business Development Manager at Aashna House Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing your lovely experience. It's wonderful to hear how included and joyful the residents feel during celebrations, and how attentively your sister's physical and spiritual needs are supported. My mother was a resident on Arden Suite for six years. She was severely mentally incapacitated with dementia. Following a major stroke in 2019 she could not return to her care home as she needed 24 hour full nursing care. Rowanweald confirmed they could give her the necessary care which gave me the
reassurance I needed. The amazing team of staff at this home kept her comfortable throughout her residency. Everyone was so professional and helpful. Her dignity was maintained throughout her time there which was very important to me. I was always kept informed of how she was doing, from Resident of the day calls every month to additional updates when her care became palliative.
