Aashna House is a truly unique home, where residents from a rich variety of religious and cultural backgrounds live in beautiful surroundings. The staff speak several languages, including Gujarati, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu, so communication is exceptional.

The team are passionate about celebrating the variety of faiths of their residents, including Hindu, Muslim, Ismaili, Jain, Tamil, Christian and Sikh, with festivals, rituals and customs an integral part of everyday life. Every festival is unique in terms of its bespoke menu, the prayers, music, folk dances, traditions rituals and dress.

The delicious, authentic home-cooked cuisine is outstanding, with everything freshly cooked using seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs. Every day there are a variety of vegetarian and meat curries, dahl and bean dishes, chapati, rice and Lassi, as well as salads and Indian sweets. And of course, meat and vegetarian dishes are prepared in different kitchens.

There are so many activities to enjoy, from arts and gentle exercise, to gardening, cooking and trips into the community.

The residents at Aashna House are actively involved in the running of their home, with resident ambassadors who chair regular residents’ and relatives’ meetings, providing feedback to the team, many of whom have worked in the home for over 10 years.

The home is split into five areas, each with its own dining room, which feel like small family communities. And the spacious bedrooms are all ensuite. There is also a large spacious communal lounge where residents enjoy activities and celebrations together, which also has Asian television channels. And there is a multi-faith prayer room and a Hindu temple for the residents to worship.

The beautiful gardens provide a tranquil space to relax. With raised beds and pergolas bursting with aromatic flowers, this summer the residents also enjoyed planting their own produce.

My aunt has been a resident at Aashna House residential Care Home since September 2025. I can honestly say that I cannot speak highly enough about the Care Home. The rooms and facilities are excellent but what is more appreciating is the care and support that is provided by the staff. They are very
friendly and treat both the visitors and the residents with upmost respect and dignity. My aunt's health, both mental and physical, has improved since residing at Aashna House. I cannot thank enough the wonderful staff for the care and support they've provided to my aunty.
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Aashna House Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing such lovely feedback. My mum has been a resident for 4 years now. Her Alzheimer's has gradually got worse and now unfortunately she does not recognise me or any family. There has been a high turnover of staff but the services provided are good. My mum is being cared for well and even though she does not really know what
is happening, she seems generally content. The food is excellent and physically she is looking well. The care home manager is very friendly caring and very helpful. I would warmly recommend Aashna House.

Aashna house, has continued to be a place of happiness & safety for my brother for some years. They provide a cultural space where he feels empowered to be himself and part of a caring community. This, is no small way due to the strong management and staff who genuinely care for my brother's well being.

Aashna House has cared for my dad like family. The home is warm, calm, spotlessly clean, and the kindness, dignity and patience shown to residents is exceptional.
My dad has dementia and has completely bloomed here. He arrived at 56kg and is now 73kg , he's stronger, happier, and his condition feels
stable. Friends and family often comment on how well he looks.
Smita is the heart of Aashna House, and the teamwork she leads is outstanding. My dad's main carers, Anil and Sandeep, are incredible , he trusts them deeply, which means everything to us. Management and team leaders are always warm, responsive and supportive.
They've made us feel like family too. I couldn't fault Aashna House and would recommend it without hesitation.

My parents have been residents at Aashna House for just over 18 months. I am very pleased to say that although the previous year has been challenging for my parents health wise, the Team are excellent. My father did not want to go to hospital so the carers and nursing at home team looked after him very
well at Aashna House. Thankfully, my father's health improved due to the care he received. The food and activities are both very good. The home is always so clean and a pleasure to visit. The residents are treated with kindness which is so important.
Reply from Kate Czeczko, Business Development Manager at Aashna House Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing this. I'm really glad to hear your parents are so well supported at Aashna House. It's wonderful that the team were able to care for your father in the home when he didn't want to go to hospital, and that his health improved with their help. The kindness of the staff, the clean environment, and the good food and activities all make such a difference. It sounds like a genuinely caring place for your parents.

My sister has been in Aashna House for over 3 years after being with me for 12 years so I have been very closely concerned with the care she is receiving.
Recently I spent Diwali function held at the carehome. It was deeply satisfying to see the happiness on the faces of all the residents. How everyone
was included in rejoicing and encouraged to sing and clap. Even the ones whose relatives were not present. All celebrations such as Christmas, Eid, New Year are also rejoiced.
Individual needs and health issues are constantly monitored. My sister is getting physiotherapy to improve her mobility. She has been given a zimmer frame and a wheelchair which can be used when needed as her tremors have increased.
Not only does the carehome provide for physical needs but also provide spiritual care by allocating a room to be used where clients of different religion can congregate and conduct their prayers.
The carehome is clean, calm and very peaceful thus creating a positive atmosphere.
Reply from Kate Czeczko, Business Development Manager at Aashna House Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing your lovely experience. It's wonderful to hear how included and joyful the residents feel during celebrations, and how attentively your sister's physical and spiritual needs are supported. You've painted a picture of a truly caring, peaceful home, and it's clear she's in very good hands.

The staff at Aashna House have been so very caring to our elderly father since his very first day. Sadly, he passed away 10 days ago and once again, all the staff were very supportive and sympathetic. The emotions they showed told us that they loved him.

My mother passed away a few months ago and hence my father is alone if we are away. This has been fine but he had a fall suffering several cracked ribs and a head wound. We had to go away for 1 week and we were looking at our options and Aashna offered us a respite care option. My father has never left
our home and we were all quite nervous but the care he received was exemplary. His room was clean and very bright and comfortable and he even commented on how well he was looked after and the carers could not do enough to make him feel comfortable for the 2 weeks he stayed there. He came home happy and we felt he was safe and secure at a vulnerable time for him. The greatest compliment we can give is that he has said if he has to go anywhere again it should be Aashna!
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Aashna House Residential Care HomeThank you for your kind words. My father has been a resident here for 6 years now and he is very well settled in this care home.
He has been looked after very well by all the staff and they treat him with care, respect and dignity.
He has a very restrictive palate and only eats certain foods and the care home caters for this.
The
manager, administrative team and care team are all focused on one goal - total care for the residents.
I cannot praise them enough.

Our Father spent his final weeks at Aashna House. The staff looked after him with such care, attention and most of all dignity. They supported him when he needed it, encouraged him and I'm sure they contributed to several additional weeks of his life through their love and care.
We will be eternally
grateful for the excellent care and support from all of the nursing staff and the management. A lovely environment, great food and always organising activities/events, wonderful people who looked after our Father with such care and attention. Thank you.

Attended a 100th birthday celebration for my aunt at Aashna House today. My mother was a resident here between 2015-2018 before her passing and we had all been impressed with everything.
It is reassuring that the high standards that the home had have not changed at all, in fact, they have been maintained
and exceeded. Staff remain just as committed and the manager continues to deliver exceptional performance.
This is remarkable at very challenging times and demands placed in society for adult social care. I am proud to have had an association with Aashna House.

Excellent caring staff who tend to all my aunt's needs.
My aunt is very active and it’s nice to see her becoming a part of this small community and being cared for by people who understand her.
We visited her today and it was lovely to see her doing garba and dandiya as she would have done in her
youth.

My father has been a resident for over 2 years now. He often talks about how happy he is to be staying at Aashna House. We feel that he is in a safe place with caring staff looking after him. The nursing team with the carers are professional and able to look after my dad's medication. The management
team is very effective at leading the team, their monthly newsletters are informative and full of fun and colour. The many celebrations that the home has really added to my father's enjoyment. I enjoyed participating in the Diwali celebrations, professional music and food as a guest. My father enjoyed the Christmas celebrations more recently.

My mom is Gujerati and speaks little English and has specific vegetarian food requirements. She only wanted to come to this care home, as such we waited for availability.
She has been there for many months and had multiple visits to the hospital, the care home has been exemplary in handling the situation
from managing her requirements to handling medication.
The Gujerati food is the best my family have tasted, and my mom as a foodie is completely happy.
All the staff are courteous and always help the residents and families with passion. The management team are exceptionally good and you can talk about anything and find solutions.
I absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend this care home.

My mum was a resident of Aashna House since Apr 2016 and this will be my final review as she sadly passed away on Oct 2022. I have reviewed before with praise and support for Aashna House, but this year I cannot applaud them enough. Mum was in and out of hospital this year, and the last round was from
Sep 9th till she passed away in hospital on 17th Oct, over 5 weeks later. All this year the staff rallied around my mum, encouraging her to eat, to live, to be a survivor! The care home manager and staff visited my mum in hospital but she succumbed to her various illnesses. These 6 some years at the Aashna House my mum was so very content and at peace. She was cared for, respected and lived with dignity. With help from the staff, she created a Muslim Prayer Room and used it constantly. She made friends and was a well-loved resident. I know she will be missed by all at Aashna House and I cannot recommend them enough and thank them for their consistent and brilliant care. Kudos!

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.689)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.689) out of 10 for Aashna House Residential Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.889 for Aashna House Residential Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (129 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 144 Ratings = 4.889
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Aashna House Residential Care Home is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6, which has been reached with 12 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
