Aashna House is a truly unique home, where residents from a rich variety of religious and cultural backgrounds live in beautiful surroundings. The staff speak several languages, including Gujarati, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu, so communication is exceptional.

The team are passionate about celebrating the variety of faiths of their residents, including Hindu, Muslim, Ismaili, Jain, Tamil, Christian and Sikh, with festivals, rituals and customs an integral part of everyday life. Every festival is unique in terms of its bespoke menu, the prayers, music, folk dances, traditions rituals and dress.

The delicious, authentic home-cooked cuisine is outstanding, with everything freshly cooked using seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs. Every day there are a variety of vegetarian and meat curries, dahl and bean dishes, chapati, rice and Lassi, as well as salads and Indian sweets. And of course, meat and vegetarian dishes are prepared in different kitchens.

There are so many activities to enjoy, from arts and gentle exercise, to gardening, cooking and trips into the community.

The residents at Aashna House are actively involved in the running of their home, with resident ambassadors who chair regular residents’ and relatives’ meetings, providing feedback to the team, many of whom have worked in the home for over 10 years.

The home is split into five areas, each with its own dining room, which feel like small family communities. And the spacious bedrooms are all ensuite. There is also a large spacious communal lounge where residents enjoy activities and celebrations together, which also has Asian television channels. And there is a multi-faith prayer room and a Hindu temple for the residents to worship.

The beautiful gardens provide a tranquil space to relax. With raised beds and pergolas bursting with aromatic flowers, this summer the residents also enjoyed planting their own produce.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1279 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Can't speak highly enough of this care home. Well maintained; cheerfully decorated; great food (tastes homemade); caring, respectful staff and a commitment to its residents. The Manager is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet and I'm very reassured to know that my mother is in her care.
I could say a lot more but there is really no need. Mum has been there for over six years and she is very happy as a result and so are her family.

A big thank you to the manager and staff for accommodating a small birthday party for my mum in the resident's lounge last Sunday 8th May. They made such a lot of effort and my Mum had a lovely time. It was the first time we had been able to visit as a larger group and nothing was too much trouble.
They provided entertainment and food for the occasion and it was very well received.

My mother was in this home for a year and it was the most suitable as it met her physical, mental, and cultural needs. They treated her with dignity and given restrictions due to Covid, still enabled the contact needed for her well-being. When she passed away, they gave the time that we needed to enable
us to start saying goodbye to her. The staff were all welcoming and treated her as their own family, which is all you could ask for.

The staff at the home are caring and helpful. They are responsive to my mother's needs and she is well looked after. Her dietary, spiritual, physical and emotional needs are well met. The staff are also responsive and sensitive to the concerns of family members. Communication between staff about the
specific needs of a resident could occasionally be better!

The services provided to the residents are excellent. The staff and management are very helpful and welcoming and a warm welcome to new residents. I would highly recommend to a friend in the local community, also have already recommended to my friend.

My father has been at Aashna Care Home for 4 years now and he appears to look younger and healthier now. This is because of the excellent care he receives. I feel compelled to say how well the management and staff at Aashna House have continued to care for our brother during these unprecedented times of Covid 19. Our brother who is 61, and has Dementia and other learning difficulties have coped extremely well with the restrictions. Before now, his routine
included regular weekly outings. The staff has clearly explained about lockdown procedure and we are so grateful to them for the care and compassion they have shown, repeatedly. We are able to communicate with him via Skype and phone and this has been of great comfort to both him and us. The team at Aashna House communicates with warmth and kindness, giving us every reason to believe that our brother is safe and in secure hands.

I am very pleased with Aashna House Residential Care Home. My sister has Alzheimer's and here the staff look after her with a lot of love and care. She is well looked after by ensuring she stays clean, eats well and sleeps well. Although my sister doesn't remember much but she looks happy.

My mother has been at Aashna for approximately a year now. She arrived following a bad fall and with advancing dementia. She is of South Asian origin and I was looking specifically for a care home that catered for South Asian needs. I thoroughly researched care homes all over London, both those catering
for a general population and those catering for South Asians in particular. Aashna struck me immediately as the most welcoming and comfortable of all the places I visited and that assessment has been more than justified by the care my mother has received during the past year. Both the staff and the residents are friendly and relaxed and the home has the air of a happy communal residence. My mother's interactions with all the staff and fellow residents are the clearest indicators for me of her well being at Aashna.

It’s been almost two years since my Mum moved into Aashna House and I wanted to write to thank you for giving us our lives back.
There’s a stigma, in our community, that we must look after our parents and indeed we wanted to, and did for many years, but I couldn’t cope any more.
Every time I visit,
Mum is so content and chilled and happy. She always says how blessed she feels to have all her ‘daughters’ and ‘brothers’ looking after her and how she can’t believe she is so lucky. Hearing this and seeing how well she is, brings me so much peace.
This last year, I’ve re-ignited my business, we give all the profits to helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society. I have the time and space to grow our business because I know my Mum is in safe hands. I hope to be working with Sanctuary Housing and growing the awareness of Dementia and how we can help give back.

We are very happy about the service my father-in-law is receiving in the home. Everyone from managers, carers, cleaner, caterers, laundry service are all excellent, always smiles on their faces.
The home is kept clean, good quality food. Everything is taken care of including entertainment, exercise,

My dad was a resident of Ashna House from 2001 until he passed away last week and had been part of the furniture at the care home.


The manager and the team do an outstanding job and have done for the last 18 years whilst my dad was a resident. He was very happy there and from start to finish when

he passed last week, the team were nothing but compassionate, kind and caring.
I must mention my dad had an alcohol dependency and despite being a difficult character at times, the team never judged and gave only love, compassion and continued kindness.


I recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a home for their loved one as this team go above and beyond for their service users and I want this to be recognised.
