The care given to my husband was very food. My only concern was the length of time it took for an alarm bell to be answered but appreciate all staff are busy. The alarm/call bell also was not very secure if a patient had limited movement.

We as a family cannot thank the Fernihurst care team for the love and support provided to our Mother in her last few weeks of life.
They were so compassionate, patient and kind not only to our Mother but to all the family too.
The home is spotlessly clean, food and services excellent.
Every member
of staff were always so friendly and helpful.
Fernihurst always had such a happy positive atmosphere and it was a joy to visit and spend time there.
Thank you to David and the whole of the team at Fernihurst.

A fantastic home. My sister in law loves living there. The whole team are wonderful and all the staff work hard. The food is lovely, activities are great, the home is clean and tidy and all the staff are warm and welcoming. They take residents out, care about the little things and keep us updated as
family. We are very reassured about the care given. The manager and deputy manager are lovely ladies who lead the home well. My only criticism is there needs to be more beds so they can offer even more fantastic care. Keep up the great work. Thank you for all you do.

Mom came to the Greenslades in February 25 until the 11th of Jan 2026 when she sadly passed away. I cannot thank the staff the nurses and the carers for the Care and kindness towards my mum especially during her final days. the quality of Care here is excellent. Everybody cares to a high standard.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Greenslades to anyone for their loved one. I shall miss the staff and coming in to see Mom in her lovely room. I am forever grateful for making her last days comfortable and giving us the time and Space to be with her and say goodbye, thank you from the bottom of my heart Loraine

My mother moved into Ivydene in Sept 2025. As a whole family we have been nothing other than been blown away by the carer and support we all have received. Everyone we have come across have such genuine care for the residents and their families going that extra mile and giving 110% at all times. The
entertainment, outings, food and general enthusiasm is amazing. Mum's room is beautifully clean and every need is met. Mum has a new lease of life and as a family we do too! We cannot thank enough.

I can't thank the staff enough for the incredible care they've given my dad. From the moment he arrived, they made him feel truly welcome and comfortable. What stood out most was the time they spent getting to know him personally, they were genuinely interested in his life story and history, which meant
so much to him and to us as a family. Their kindness has made all the difference to dad as he adjusts to moving into care, he is very happy and so complimentary of the staff. Highly recommend this care home for anyone looking for compassionate, person-centered care.

All the staff and managers have worked incredibly hard over the Christmas period to make it a wonderful time for the residents. (which it was) I cannot fault the home at all and I would be happy to recommend the home to anyone, my husband has been there for nearly 2yrs and now calls the place his home
which is so reassuring for me as I know that if I can't go in he will be looked after, I wouldn't want him to be anywhere else.

My father has been a resident here since March 2025 and he has received the very best care in that time. In fact he has thrived as the caring staff have got him eating again and offer him regular snacks if he refuses a main meal. The staff are brilliant they welcome me and I feel so relieved to have
them care for dad when I no longer can. They phone me with any concerns and sometimes just to reassure me Dads ok ! Dad has a care plan in place which they share with me. It's such a lovely environment so happy with so many activities on offer !

My father was a resident of Greenslades for two and half years prior to his recent passing. Throughout all of that time the care he received and was excellent in all aspects and communication was very good.
Whilst the decor of the Home would benefit from being updated, it is clean and the food is good.
There are a variety of daily activities offered for residents to join in with, including outdoors when the weather allows.
However, what really makes this Home is the staff looking after the residents. They really are a first class team, doing a often difficult job with kindness and good humour whilst always remaining professional and compassionate.

Mum continues to be car e d for with compassion and respect. The cleaner just popped in to do an afternoon clean, and table wipe down. She came quietly into the room, said hello to Mum and asked if it would be okay for her to vacuum and wipe down the services. This demonstrates such respect for Mum
as an individual, even when asked to look out for the crumbs under the bed, " that I've put down for the birds" . Reassurance that she would and not to worry ill sort it.
This is just one snippet of the care that Mum receives, she varies in her understanding of what is happening from day- to- day. Sometimes actively disengaging from care. All of this is taken with calm respect.
The Furzehatt Team are great, keep doing what you are doing, you are five star!

The manager and team at Fernihurst have been very welcoming, responsive and caring. My mum was moved there in September with complex needs and has been well looked after. She has been able to attend her medical appointments outside the home and been accompanied so I have not needed to travel from Oxford
to be with her, for this I am very grateful. Any questions I have had, and they have been many, have been answered swiftly, politely and with good advice. I would not hesitate to recommend the home and its staff.
