Perhaps the greatest compliment that we can pay to Camilla House is that, now that mum is no longer with us, we will genuinely miss coming in to see how everyone in the community is getting on!

I love that my sister is home for her. She very very happy, her room is lovely all the staff are excellent nothing to have manners for everyone. The residents are welll cared for so lovely for all who are in there. Food excellent there is nothing but happiness with games etc.

Overall Dad is thriving and we are delighted with the care he is receiving

Camilla House is a very warm & welcoming care home. The staff are excellent - some are exceptional and the management very approachable. I am very happy with the care given!

My father went into Camilla House about 10 months ago and has always had great care since he has been a resident there. The carers are very attentive and professional and he has veen very happy staying there. He enjoys all the variety of activities they provide. It has been wonderful that they take him to his weekly art class at the church he used to attend as well. My mother also went into Camilla House just before Christmas and seems to be settling in well and enjoying the activities & is well cared for.

Lovely visit today with sister who was enjoying their activity when I arrived everyone involved staff and residents. I played the game of scoring points by using soft wool balls and throw into winning circles on a carpet laid out frame. The points were added up and treats for the first three winners also treats for all. After activity a nice cup of tea an cake for everyone. Staff very attentive throughout my visit engaging with residents . Very relaxed ambiance within the home.

My sister is very happy here and that makes me happy that she is being well supported and cared for meeting her individual needs.

Enjoyable visit.

Camilla House is strong in involving residents in activities that are purposeful, meaningful, and seasonal and go above and beyond to provide stimulation, both in-house and with external visitors and performers. The home benefits from not being too small to have an activity budget, nor too big and lacking cohesion. The staff also put effort into fund-raising to add to the activities budget. All this would of course be meaningless without the carers who are so kind. The carers are worth their weight in gold!

Very pleased with the care my husband has received at Camilla House. All carers assist my husband when required and now help with his meals. Reviews on his health are regularly carried out every six months and go into lots of detail about his well being. Activities are very good everyday although my husband is not able to take part.

My father was a resident at Camilla House in Edinburgh for three years. During that time the staff demonstrated extraordinary kindness and compassion to my dad and to us as a family, at all times. When the time came for him to set off on his next adventure, the staff on duty were truly incredibly and made the experience one of calm and care. There is nothing they could have done differently. We are forever indebited to them for this. Thank you for everything, Camilla House team.

The management team are very approachable when needed.

Sadly my father in law passed away in December with his dementia and other health problems but it is lovely to know as a family that his last six and a half months were enjoyed by him and his care was excellent.

Camilla House Care Home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you step in. The staff are excellent displaying care and attention to my mum and got to know her quickly. She has enjoyed and engaged in the wide variety of activities and events provided by the home and benefited from these. I am delighted that my mum is in such a safe and nurturing home at this stage in her life.

My father has greatly benefited from being cared by these people.

Should my Father be here at lunchtime he gets a meal. Overall I am very happy with the service and care my Mother gets.

Pleased to see that care staff at Camilla Care Home have been able to maintain a high level of attentive care. All staff are very approachable and engage well with my loved one and other residents. Absolutely no regrets about my loved one residing at Camilla where I have no doubt they’ll continue to provide the best of care.

I’ve seen a significant improvement in my mum's general health and mental health following her move to Camilla House in early 2023. Mum seems to be very settled at Camilla and enjoys the support of the friendly and professional staff.

My husband was in this home for ten months, till his death on 26th July. We were partly helped to pay by the council, as far as I know the full amount was paid. The room was very small and stuffy. Window looked out onto a roof. The bed was hospital style. He wasn't given a top sheet and blanket, I noticed other residents were. He used a throw I took in on the bed. When I asked, I was told they would give him a summer duvet. He had one for two weeks, then back to the throw. I bought two duvets and covers. First one disappeared, second one I put on the bed myself. Two weeks later, back to the throw. I was never given a satisfactory explanation for this.

My mother has been in Camilla House for two months and the staff are very good with her. She also likes the home cooked meals and baking and enjoys the sing-a-longs with one staff member. The home is clean and tidy with a nice garden to sit and relax.

My husband came to Camilla House Care Home from hospital where they had been unable to get him out of bed and he had lost two and a half stone in weight. He now walks from his room through to the main lounge and dining room with the help of two carers and is up all day. He enjoys all the food, eats well and has gained some weight already! We are all very pleased with this progress.

I am so happy my sister and I found Camilla House Care Home tucked away in a beautiful residential area in The Grange, Edinburgh. The professional care and kindness the staff give my mum is amazing. My mum has been there for two weeks and is already settled and very happy. Such peace of mind for all her family. Thanking you all.
