Barony Lodge Residential Care Home

We visited my Mum during the care home's (first) bonfire night party. It was so good to see the effort that all the staff had gone to to enable as many residents (and family and friends) as possible to enjoy the event with lots of chairs in the entrance area to watch the fireworks from. Every time
we have visited I have been so impressed with the care and attention that all of the staff display to all of the residents. My Mum has a dementia diagnosis and as I live away I am so pleased to know that she is being looked after and kept stimulated by activities and visits out, for example they recently took her to the ponds in Nantwich to feed the ducks which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks to everyone at Barony Lodge.

The quality of care provided by the staff at Bradwell Court was truly excellent and my mother's passing was handled in the most efficient, loving and respectable manner.
Bradwell Court was recomended to the family as the best home for providing care in the Congleton area and we ourselves would have
no hesitation in making the same recomendation.
Thank you to all at Bradwell Court on behalf of my mother.

My Mum moved into Bradwell Court in May of this year. She has settled well and is happy there. As a family we visit her on an almost daily basis. Our observations of the care the residents receive is always very positive..... they are treated with kindness, respect and dignity. The staff are always
welcoming to friends and family. Mums room is large and bright and is always clean.

Bradwell court was recommended for the exceptional care given , and we saw this first hand when my mother spent the last 7 months of her life there. We thank the management and staff so much for the everyday care and friendly atmosphere within the home. This was down to every staff member employed there.
We cannot thank each member of staff enough for their everyday efforts . We would highly recommend the care home .

We needed somewhere safe for my brother whilst his siblings went on holiday, this care home was recommended to us. Hannah came to visit him and quickly put our minds to rest that the Barony would be a safe environment for him. On arrival was a couple of thoughtful gifts to welcome him, thank you Hannah.
Dave came to stay for 3 weeks, on the first day he went to the cinema and was smiling when I checked in on him. On our return from our holidays , he informed us he loved it and wanted to stay permanently which speaks volumes
It is wonderful to see him involved in activities and smiling, he looks happy at home which he hasn't done for a while.
All of the staff are brilliant, Dave can't remember names and I live miles away so don't regularly see people to name them.
Not only is Dave happy but his siblings are as well to know he is looked after with care, compassion and dignity.
Huge thank you to everyone At the Barony for all you do for your residents.

An excellent first time stay for my mother Joyce. She was able to move round the home with her walking sticks and had good company from other residents. Her only complaint was that the evening meal was serviced very early (5.00 pm)

We were lucky to find this room available at such short notice and we were not disappointed. The staff & management could not be more helpful & friendly, always welcoming and asking if we needed anything. They made my cousin feel happy and secure in there and we are sad her stay was so short as she
passed away, after a long illness, only 2 1/2 weeks in there. The decor is very good, carpets and rooms clean and tidy and the social areas very well maintained. The out look onto small but very tidy gardens are delightful and well maintained. It was a pleasure, even though a short one. Highly recommend to anyone.

My husband has been a resident at Bradwell Court for 14 months now, and during that time, my opinion of his care, has grown immensely.
Not enough praise can be heaped on the caring staff, it is the gold standard of how a good care home should be. Nothing is too much trouble for them, their diligence
to the safety and well-being of their residents is exemplary. I am kept well informed of my husband's care and of any changes that have been necessary to make sure he keeps safe and well.
There are plenty of activities for the residents to take part in, or they can simply find a quite corner to read a book or enjoy a chat.
The food is second to non, and all the residents I speak to say how good it is, and likes and dislikes are well accommodated.
Any birthday celebrations are catered for and made special for them; the chefs and kitchen staff go to utmost trouble.
Lastly I should mention the feeling of family there, not just for my husband but myself too.

Overall, very happy for my husband being in your care.
I think sometimes understanding can cause issues, not just for the resident but the staff too.
Ongoing niggle is the car parking. Just a simple remedy of some white lines would improve this. One area needs careful thought on the while lines to
give maximum parking.

I have selected good for all questions except activities, where I have placed it as satisfactory. This in no way reflects on the activities coordinator, who is very good. My relative would like to see more external activities, eg visits out, which may be cost prohibited.

I chose Upton Dene for my dad because staff took time to show me round & answer my questions when I was looking at local homes - this was not my experience at so many. I immediately liked the feel with it's excellent clean & modern facilities, calm atmosphere & the warm vibe from the staff. My first
impressions proved to be well founded & there is no question in my mind that I made the right choice.
The staff at Upton Dene are absolutely amazing. My dad wasn't at the home long but I still felt they got to know him well & always ensured he was comfortable & happy. The carers played board games with him, chatted to him and reassured him. They included him in so many of the activities on offer every day. Dad loved the beautiful garden & the peaceful environment. He used to think he was in a five star hotel!
I found it hard coping with my dad's failing health but the staff that were sensitive and caring towards me too and they gave my dear dad the care that he needed & deserved right to the end.

The home exceeded all my expectations for my mothers care. The competant staff always made her and us feel welcome. The home is clean and well set up for less mobile people with wide corridors, short distances and bright, spacious rooms. There seemed to be very little turnover in staff and very few
