I would recommend Dalby Court to others

Our family member has been in Dalby Court Care Home for nearly 4 months, he moved from assisted living into a care home. He was struggling with everyday tasks and this made him unhappy and anxious. We looked around many care homes and one day we walked into Dalby Court and felt this would become his home. He has improved he is happy, his anxiety has gone, he is dancing and laughing. The residents and carers have become his friends and family. The home is immaculate, its safe, the food is home cooked along with afternoon tea and cake. His bedroom is perfect, its safe and very tastefully decorated. There is a lot of activities or just a peaceful garden to sit in. I highly recommend this home along with their staff.

The Care Home is well run, but the rooms are on the small side, they do have their own bathroom which is a bonus.

My father has greatly benefitted from living at Dalby Court. The high standard of care, together with the quality of the meals provided has made a positive difference to his overall health and wellbeing.

Very well run, very professional care facility

Our dear family member needed specialist help, his dementia had left him needing more care and individualised, more special care. Upon an unplanned visit we called into Dalby Court. We were greeted by one of the management team, who gave us lots of information and took us all around the home, she introduced us to lots of carers and staff. The rooms and activities are top notch. Its very clean and homely. I noticed the residents were treated with such respect and attention. It was very well run and the residents were happy and at the time of our visit most of them were enjoying music, TV and ice creams. Hence this is the home he now thrives in and he calls it home.

The food is very good and the garden is lovely

I don't know what the non dementia floor is like but I certainly would not recommend this place for a loved one with dementia.

My father was admitted into Dalby Court in May. He was in a neglected condition from being in hospital and another home. The staff cleaned him up and made sure he ate. Over the following weeks his overall condition continued to improve, due to the care of the staff. He said all the staff had been kind and courteous.

Excellent care home for my mother. She is well looked after and appreciates the attention that the staff give her. She does wish that she does not get taken out more on day trips. My father was here for 2 years, and the same applied to him.

My mother is as happy as I think she can be - greatly aided by the excellent carers.

Stuart has helped putting funiture together and generaly sorting out room. Fixed numerous photos and pictures. He is now going fit a wall cabinet and bookcase. I am very pleased with all he has done.

James has been an absolute delight. Nothing is too much bother, and he is determined to do his best on all his work. He will go to great lengths to get what is needed to fulfil the residents' needs. He is always pleasant and cheerful when helping the residents.

We are more than happy with the care of our mother here. She suffers with a sore on her back, and the staff are quick to deal with it when required. Can't seem to fault it.

Would really like a portal to look at to see what has been going on - i.e. day of shower, activities attended, etc.

Only criticism would be occasional urine smell on the 1st floor corridor.

Both my parents came in Jan 2024. Unfortunately my dad died March 2025. The care and attention he received was excellent and very professional but what was also outstanding was the care we received as a family for all staff. His death was an experience made so much easier by the level of care we all experienced. From maintenance to kitchen not only main carers. Mum's care is still outstanding plus the help she has to cope with dad's death. Thank you.

Love the home, have company when needed, privacy in my own room which is fabulous. Can come and go as I please as I am mobile and still drive. The garden is my domain which I love. Support if I need it. The staff are brilliant and the home runs smoothly with the manager at the helm. Food is boring same old, same old, well cooked but need more variety. Activities are more catered to the more non mobile residents but I enjoy what is aimed at us more mobile.

Speaking for all my family I think the care and support that my brother-in-law David received during his stay and during his sad passing we would like to say a big thank you to all the management and staff. We couldn't have received any better care and love anywhere.

My uncle was discharged from hospital to Dalby Court 3 years ago quite poorly but with the support and encouragement of the staff he quickly settled spent over 3 happy years at Dalby Court. Myself and my family have always been welcomed warmly by the staff at the home and felt part of the family. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the work that is done at Dalby Court and on behalf of my family, thank you .
