Have always found the staff very professional. Whenever I ask for help on anything I am promptly seen to and any problem is sorted out. Unlike the 2 care homes my wife has been in prior to this the Management actually listen and talk to you instead of down to you. The whole atmosphere is one of caring.

We were all worried when Mum went into respite care when we went on holiday. She had had numerous falls at home and lost her confidence. From the moment we stepped into the Laurels, we were welcomed. The staff are all amazing. Within a few hours, Mum knew she wanted to stay. She has a lot of friends,
has her 'glow' back and is being cared for by the lovely staff. Thank you!

After over 2 years of in and out of hospitals and nursing homes, we thought we were losing my sister. Then she came to The Park Residential and Nursing Home - Sanctuary Care, and her whole life changed. The staff there helped her eat good food, learn activities. She was treated with dignity and felt
safe again. She made friends with many residents and staff and learned to live a better life. When I called to talk to her, they would take the phone to her and hold it to her ear so we could talk. I visited the home, and everyone was courteous and friendly.

Mum went into a care home for respite, it was like a hotel, but soon found out the care wasn't there. She ended up in the hospital through neglect, and he health and spirits declined. We thought we had lost her a few times, but she was not able to come back to live with me because her needs were too
high. So I had to look for dementia nursing care. I visited lots and every time I ended up crying in the car park because none were suitable, I was becoming very disheartened until I visited The Laurels Nursing Home, I just knew straight away the manager and staff have such care and empathy. Mum moved in a week later, and like a miracle, she improved so much, but I now feel content knowing Mum is well cared for by the amazing staff. I now know I've chosen the best place for Mum, it's taken all the care and worrying from me. Thank you.

We found the home to be clean and appeared well run.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and seemed happy.
The food looked nice and drinks were offered throughout the day.
Once dad was given the all clear to walk using his Zimmer the staff encouraged him to walk to the dining room for meals.

I spent 6 days with my brother at Sherwood .. first of all the cleanliness of the home is to be commended .. the staff are truly amazing, so caring, for these patients.. their needs .. their feelings.. the activities that they do with the residents.. crafts, singing and dancing .. then the outings..
it was so fun to hang out there!!! I wanted to check out of my hotel and move in lol !!!! The ratio of staff to clients seems above average (compared to nursing homes I've been in when visiting clients ) .. the food too.. well prepared and tasty!!! Of course lots of tea..
Highly recommend this facility for your loved one

Cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention that my mum received at the carehome. From the assessment she received to determine if they could meet her needs, her moving in, getting her settled, and ongoing care, every step was handled immaculately. As her condition deteriorated, the support
mum (and us as a family) received from the nursing staff and activities team was unbelievable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, we were always made welcome and a part of the "team". Sadly mum passed away recently and we received great support through that process... and 2 staff members joined us at mum's funeral.
Overall a very well run and caring nursing home ....all staff should be extremely proud of themselves.

My mum and dad have been in Sherwood Forester for 2 years now and the care and compassion they recieve from every single member of the staff is exemplary. They all go above and beyond and without them all my life would be so different. They all feel like family and make me and my family feel so welcome.
The activities they have are fantastic and the time they spend with them is wonderful. I can't recommend this home enough they all deserve medals for what they do.

I have found the Park staff to be very friendly and kind to my mum and to all our family when visiting. They showed us around and were very thorough and understanding of my mums needs. They have helped us and kept us informed of how my mum is settling in to her new home. They have allowed us to spend
a lot of time with her while she is transitioning into their care. The home has a good feel to it and it is clean and my mum has a lovely room with a door to the garden which is so lovely and we can make it her own.

The staff look after the residents very well. The food is good and varied. It is always warm and comfortable. The home is well-decorated on the inside but the outside could do with a little attention. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for a family member.

My mother is in very poor health and I was dreading Xmas. Most likely her last Xmas with us and also her first one in a care home. Honestly, the home couldn't have done more to ensure the festivities were filled with love, joy and fun. A member of staff dressed as Santa on the day and me and my sister
cried happy tears when he surprised my mum with a visit on the big day. This epitomised the exceptional care my mum receives at the Laurels. The Manager's door is always open and welcoming should I have worries about my mum. What I thought was going to be a sad place to visit has become my happy place, as I make treasured memories.
