Bradwell Court offers residential, dementia, and pre-bookable respite care in a warm, family-like setting, thanks to a devoted team - many with over 15 years’ service. The home features 27 spacious, beautifully decorated bedrooms with walk-in ensuite bathrooms.

Its large, enclosed gardens provide a stunning space for relaxation, with flower beds, solar lighting, a water feature, and rockery. Wheelchair-friendly paths and raised planters make them accessible to all. This summer, residents enjoyed a beach-themed day with an ice cream van, games, and sandpits, and have loved growing fruit and vegetables for the chef to use in home-cooked meals.
Residents play an active role in shaping life at Bradwell Court, giving feedback on menus and activities. Many enjoy baking, gardening, and helping prepare vegetables, fostering a sense of purpose and belonging. Meals range from roast dinners to stir-fries and curries, with home-baked treats for afternoon tea.

There’s always something happening - crafts, games, pamper sessions, music and movement, live entertainment, and regular hairdressing appointments in the salon. Families can stay connected through a private Facebook group, sharing in the joy of residents’ activities.

Proud to be veteran-friendly

The team is proud to achieve the Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) status, which aims to better support the practical, emotional and social needs of the armed forces community living in care homes. The VFF is a collaboration between Armed Forces charities Royal Star & Garter and Royal British Legion and NHS Veterans’ Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA).

On our initial visit to Bradwell Court we observed the lounge and dining area and the interaction between residents and staff. We immediately got a really good feeling which was further reinforced after discussions with the Deputy Manager. Although Dad has only been at Bradwell Court for nine weeks
we have come to know many of the wonderful staff and the way the home works. The atmosphere is homely and peaceful. Every time we visit we thank our lucky stars that we chose Bradwell Court. There isn't a 5-star hotel style reception with a dedicated receptionist, but more importantly there are incredible caring and dedicated staff for whom nothing is ever too much trouble. The residents are clearly the number one priority, and there's always a very warm welcome for visitors too. We know that dad is receiving the best possible care and attention, his needs are being met, he is treated with respect and dignity and he really does matter to those caring for him. We couldn't ask for more.
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Bradwell Court Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that from your first visit you felt a sense of warmth and reassurance, and that this has continued as your dad has settled in. Knowing he is treated with dignity, respect and genuine care means a great deal to us. Our team is proud to create a homely, peaceful environment where residents always come first and families feel truly welcome.

My wife was admitted to Bradwell Court at the start of February. It has been a difficult period of adjustment for her and for myself but the carers have been unfailingly kind in helping me to negotiate this difficult transition. My wife is still struggling to adjust to her new environment and changed
circumstances and I will be able to offer a more informed judgement about the care home when she has been resident for longer - but thus far I have been happy with the support we have both received and with the overall provision
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Bradwell Court Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing your experience. We understand how challenging this transition can be and are pleased to hear our team has been kind and supportive. We remain focused on providing a reassuring, welcoming environment as your wife continues to settle.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Bradwell Court Care Home, and I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are consistently attentive, professional, and compassionate, taking the time to understand the individual needs of each resident.
The facility itself is well-maintained,
clean, and thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable, homely environment. Communal areas are inviting, and there are plenty of opportunities for social interaction, which seems to contribute positively to residents' wellbeing.
One of the standout aspects is the range of activities offered. From creative arts to gentle exercise programs, residents are encouraged to stay engaged and active, which is clearly reflected in their overall mood and engagement.
Meals are varied and nutritious, catering to different dietary requirements, and the staff are accommodating when residents have specific preferences or needs.

Bradwell Court Residential Care Home has just been included the Top 20 of all care homes in the North West for the 2nd year running. Not only that but have just been awarded the accolade of 6 Steps to Success for End of Life Care. These successes are truly spectacular in an industry where many other
care homes fall short of the mark.
My husband has been in Bradwell Court Care home for nearly two years now, and I am impressed daily by the care an attention he has received during that time, by the most wonderful staff. He is always clean and tidy, and states that he is very happy there. He comments daily on how good the food is, and he has recently been moved to a lovely sunny room on the ground floor, so that the staff can keep a closer eye on him as he is becomes more frail and they can reach him more quickly should the need arise. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they always have his safety and well-being at the forefront of their minds. I don't hesitate to recommend them.

Bradwell's team looked after my Grandma for just over two years & we couldn't have picked a better home. Me and my family don't live close by & we always knew she was in the best hands.
Whilst choosing the right home for my Grandma, the staff made us feel so welcome whilst showing us around. The process
of moving in was so easy and everyone was very helpful.
The home is amazing; spacious, lots of natural light & a lovely garden to look out onto, there was also a space that was often set aside for us as a family of 8 to spend time with her in a more private setting - the kitchen often cooked up a meal for us.
Whenever we visited it was clear how much the staff cared for her and all the residents. Being part of the social media group meant we got to see all the fun activities they have on - and her 100th birthday celebrations!
So much dignity and care was given to my Grandma throughout her stay and we also felt looked after by the team when she passed. I can't sing their praises enough.

My sister is very frail and has advanced dementia, she is very well cared for by skilful compassionate staff. She is encouraged to join in with the Christmas activities which she enjoys, apparently she loved the handball ringers that came to entertain residents earlier this week,
Although she is confused
she loves to sing and especially loves Christmas songs.
The staff are always on hand to answer any questions regarding how she is and keep me informed of anything involving her care, I am her only relative and next of kin, they are very perceptive of how I feel and so I am very grateful.

Bradwell court was recommended for the exceptional care given , and we saw this first hand when my mother spent the last 7 months of her life there. We thank the management and staff so much for the everyday care and friendly atmosphere within the home. This was down to every staff member employed there.

The staff and management have gone beyond our expectation in supporting not only my father but also the family too, which at times has been very stressful for us as a family. The party which they gave for his 90th Birthday was very memorable,

From the minute we stepped into Bradwell Court we knew this was the place for Mum. The lady who showed us round was very friendly and reassuring at a very stressful time. It definitely has the home from home feeling. Mum was very unsure on her arrival, but the Management team and staff greeted her with
open arms and have definitely made her feel at home. Mum is absolutely thriving and joining in with all the activities. The staff go above and beyond with the residents to ensure they are all well looked after. I would 100% recommend Bradwell Court to anyone finding themselves in a stressful situation of having to put their loved one on 24 hour care.

I used to be a nurse I just am astounded every single time I visit my father. This was a very traumatic decision for my mum because she tried effortlessly to look after him at home he hsd Parkinson's and Dementia.. The care and attention from the staff is commendable whilst being professional and also
as they state it's like a big family I don't know who chooses the staff but I can't praise them enough...All of them
The activities I've witnessed are amazing such a lot but whilst busy has the atmosphere of calm and peace. What a troubled mind need's. They have a laugh with the residents. Safety is paramount and strict where necessary with a friendly hug and smile
The food I can't even begin all the residents look so well I love seeing the menu
My mum found it difficult initially but the staff have been a huge support to my mum he's in the best place and. Love's going to see him and involves herself as I do with all the residents and staff who have become friends
Thank you

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.987 for Bradwell Court Residential Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (306 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 309 Ratings = 4.987
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bradwell Court Residential Care Home is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months.
