With a team of devoted staff, many of whom have been there for over 15 years, Bradwell Court has a warm, family feel. Providing residential and dementia care, they also provide pre-bookable respite care breaks.

The 27 bedrooms are incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated, with walk-in ensuite bathrooms.

The large, enclosed gardens are stunning and are a wonderful place to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time. This summer they have had a complete transformation and feature beautiful flower beds, solar lighting, a water feature and rockery. There are also wheelchair friendly pathways and raised planters, so they can be enjoyed by everybody.

This summer the residents and their loved ones enjoyed a beach-themed day in the gardens, with an ice cream van, beach games and sandpits.

And the residents have loved growing their own fruit and vegetables, which the chef has used in the kitchens. They have grown everything from tomatoes and runner beans, to celery, carrots and broccoli.

The team are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, who have a very active role to play in how their home is run, providing feedback on everything from the menu to the activities.

Many of the residents enjoy baking and gardening with the staff, or helping to prepare the vegetables for dinner, as many would have done in their own homes, giving them a sense of purpose and belonging.

And the chef makes delicious, home-cooked meals, from roast dinners with all the trimmings, to stir fries and curries, with home-baking for afternoon tea.

There is so much going on at Bradwell Court, from crafts and games, pamper sessions and music and movement, to live entertainment. And a hairdresser visits for regular appointments in the salon.

The home also has its own private Facebook group for family and friends, so they can see what their loved ones have been enjoying doing.

From the previous review, I still can say that the care given to my dad at Bradwell Court is excellent. When I visit I am kept up to date with my dad's health and possible needs if required. I am made to feel very welcome, nothing is too much trouble for the staff when a request is asked.

Absolutely amazed with the care home, the facilities are excellent along with the staff. The amount of time that the staff give to the residents is exceptional and are very compassionate. The welcome that my wife and I received on our first visit was unbelievable and has been the same every time we
have visited my mother. The difference in my mother's welfare and health has improved quite significantly since she became a resident in this care home. We have been somewhat taken aback by how all the staff go out of their way to tell us about everything that happens in the care home and have all introduced themselves to us.

Dad has settled in well and although he prefers his own company, the staff accommodate him very well. The staff are very helpful and always willing to listen.

I am very impressed with my father in laws room - huge and comfortable. Always clean and tidy, with a great view of the garden.
Communal areas are well set up and the staff are attentive and take an interest in all the residents.
Safety is very high in staffs minds ( I accidentally set off a door
alarm and three or four staff were there in seconds).
Very happy and father in law is too.

My mother transferred to Bradwell Court from another residential care home in September 2018. Since her transfer, I have noticed a great improvement in her demeanour. She is brighter, more talkative and looks very well. Although I was anxious about a transfer at her advanced age, she settled in very
quickly and I have not heard her complain about anything. The staff are kindly and encouraging. The lady who runs the activities has managed to involve mother in them and particularly in the lovely parties which are held at the home.
I am very pleased. The only criticism is the size of the public rooms which are too small for the furniture.

Mum moved into Bradwell Court in October 2016.
Her time there was a good experience for all of us.
The carers are so very kind and the size of the bedrooms are really big.
The manager hires great staff and manages the home in a very efficient and tidy manner.
We were constantly grateful for all
the genuine care that mum was given and the thought put into making her comfortable.
We were sad that Mum had to leave for nursing care.

Extremely pleased with all aspects of care.
All staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and caring. My aunt is as comfortable and content in Bradwell Court as she could be.
We are extremely pleased that the Methodist minister recommended Bradwell Court to us, My aunt's room is large and comfortable
and reminds her of her own home.

My mother has been a resident at the above care home since March 2013. I have been totally satisfied with the quality of her care, the flat she occupies and the staff. I have always found the staff treat my mum (who has dementia) with empathy and dignity and are very kind and considerate with her. In
the event of her needing medical treatment I am kept informed at each stage of her care. In my professional career in the NHS I have had reason to visit many care homes and Bradwell Court is definitely an excellent example.

Staff; they are wonderful, kind and caring. They attend to individual needs, providing activities and special events to encourage the residents to become interested and involved. They are good humoured and exhibit warmth and patience to the residents. Also, as visitors, we have always felt very welcome.


Rooms

and the communal area; they are clean, airy, and spacious. The enclosed garden area is attractive and provides an easy way to enjoy the outdoors.


Meals; they are excellent in terms of quality and the options given at each meal time. The cafeteria staff also are very welcoming to visitors offering tea and biscuits and, if needed, even a meal for distant visitors!


Dad has been treated with respect and in a very compassionate way. I believe he is happy there.

Staff are all very caring and because it is a relatively small home, know all the residents and their family history and interests personally. This makes a lot of difference and means more than fancy furnishings. Rooms are large and bright.

I visit Bradwell Court on a very regular basis. The care and the cleanliness are extremely good.
The staff are excellent, sometimes under very difficult circumstances. Their patience is second to none. The meals are very good and presented very well.
