Rowanweald Residential and Nursing Home

Care and support very good and client feels safe and secure. Activities are there and encouraged but not forced. Overall client is happy in his surroundings, in particular the unit he is on and the staff that attend to his needs.

We researched, visited and interviewed several nursing homes. We looked at Indian nursing homes (as my mother is Indian) but our most important criteria was the care she was receiving, over and above any environmental or cultural considerations. We chose Rowanweald because it was brimming with care workers and nurses - they filled the corridors and attended the residents with such regularity, integrity and devotion. Sometimes three nurses attended my mother's needs, especially close to end-of-life. They were extremely kind and sensitive - to her as well as to us. Towards the end of my mother's life we had a vigil of family arriving at her bedside and it makes me teary thinking about how they cared for us, too. They took every opportunity for kindness, and in the words of Mark Twain, "Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see." She was almost deaf and blind - so you can only imagine our gratitude.

We found Rowanweald to be a very nice care home. It was clean and bright. The food was good and the staff were all very kind to my mother-in-law. She was looked after well. Would recommend.

Kind and helpful staff, clean rooms, and excellent communication by the senior management. Very accommodating to our family needs, even permitting visits with family pets.Genuine warmth and understanding throughout our experience, and all of our concerns were expertly dealt with. I would highly recommend Rowanweald as a high quality and reasonably priced care home for our loved ones.

They were also interested in my own,welfare and allowed my,dog to accompany me. There are no suitable words to describe,their amazing exemplary care. They took care not just of my mother but also emotional well being of our immediately family. They initiated making chapatis to accommodate the Asian food my mother liked. I was very sad when as a family we realised that we had to put her in a nursing,home...having heard unfavourable comments from the press about nursing homes,we were initially worried. When we got to know the management, staff it couldn't have been, more wonderful. I have absolutely have no hesitation in recommending this home.

The staff at Rowanweald have been nothing short of incredible in their care of my father, and late mother. Attentive, warm and diligent they have looked after every need. The facilities are well maintained and a good range of social activity and hospitality has really put us at ease over a difficult decision.

We find all the staff from reception area to everyone on the ward very friendly and helpful. My sister and I feel they are both in safe hands and well cared for.

My mother was a resident on Arden Suite for six years. She was severely mentally incapacitated with dementia. Following a major stroke in 2019 she could not return to her care home as she needed 24 hour full nursing care. Rowanweald confirmed they could give her the necessary care which gave me the reassurance I needed. The amazing team of staff at this home kept her comfortable throughout her residency. Everyone was so professional and helpful. Her dignity was maintained throughout her time there which was very important to me. I was always kept informed of how she was doing, from Resident of the day calls every month to additional updates when her care became palliative.

My mother is a resident on the Magnolia Floor and on many visits, I have witnessed the staff provide the very best care that my mother could wish for.

The staff are all professional and friendly.

My Nan has been in 2 Care homes prior to this and my Dad's 1 other home, this is one trumps them all and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of or having to bring a loved one into care. I honestly don't have a bad word to say about this place.

Rowanweald Care Home has been a blessing for my father and our family. Care provided by staff is exceptional. They are incredibly attentive and supportive, ensuring my father's needs are met with utmost dedication and compassion. The nurses at Rowanweald are very good, providing good care with genuine kindness. I couldn't be more grateful for the peace of mind knowing that my father is in such capable and caring hands. Management is very supportive - no problem is too big for them.

We are very satisfied with the care my wife is receiving. My wife has problems with food but this is not the fault of the home.

My mother was admitted to Rowanweald just before Christmas 2023. Before arrival the team was very helpful in completing the assessment required and showing my brother and I around. On the day of admission, Mother was received efficiently and with great care by everyone in the home. She has been well looked after some her arrival and the nurses and cares have been respectful in minimising her distresses. Thank you to all of them.

We visited my sister on Wednesday and were made to feel very welcome. The help and support during our time at Rowanweald was, once again, excellent, and the care that she is receiving from the team is of the highest quality - my husband and I left totally confident that she is in very safe hands.
