Rowanweald Residential and Nursing Home

My mother was a respite care resident in Rowanweald between February and August. The staff were unfailingly kind and considerate throughout her stay and kept in regular contact with us. Our family were very impressed with the care she received and we have no reservation in recommending Rowanweald Residential Home.

I could not be happier with the care that Dad is receiving. Everyone I have met at Rowanweald has been caring, thoughtful and responsive – the team are simply the best. I live some distance away and I am given peace of mind knowing that someone is caring for Dad and always looking out for him. At 98-years-old plus Dad has even got used to using FaceTime thanks to Rowanweald. In these difficult times, Rowanweald has clearly and consistently kept me up to date with everything, and I feel confident that they are truly professional in everything they do.

Everyone at Rowanweald provides an incredible service and genuinely cares. They go the extra mile in all aspects of their job - and that has been especially so during the Coronavirus pandemic. Although they had to halt personal visits for a time, they adapted, offering video calls and that alike. All the staff are incredibly friendly, as well as good at their job. They form real relationships with the residents and their relatives, and it's always a pleasure to visit.

I found the staff carers, management and activities to be wonderfully kind, dedicated and caring to my father and our family. It felt like one big home and I will be eternally grateful as my father loves his time at Rowanweald and was cared for and was very happy. Thank you.

I found the care provided at Rowanweald Residential and Nursing Home excellent from the nursing staff down to the cleaning staff. My mother was treated with the utmost care and respect during her 6-month stay and the staff treated us all like family. The home was clean and well-staffed and expertly run by the manager who is just wonderful.

I am extremely satisfied with the care given to my wife as a resident in the care home. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating nothing was too hard for them to do when a request was made. They were very professional in their dealings with me and my wife. Nothing was too hard for them to accommodate. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for all they have done for my wife, myself and my friends we are all very grateful. Thank again!

Both my parents were looked after at Rowanweald and the standard of care was excellent. The staff were fantastic and treated my parents with great kindness and patience. I would highly recommend this nursing home.

Overall, extremely good but not enough (or any) activities on Magnolia Ward and no dental care provision.

A few more activities would be welcomed with some of them held in Magnolia.

Having visited other homes, we would be very happy to recommend Rowanweald.

Mum liked the home and appreciated what was being done for her. During her final days, the home made her comfortable and helped her, and the family. Any questions the family had were always resolved quickly and to the family's satisfaction. The home is bright and cheerful and has recently been redecorated. We are very glad Mum stayed at Rowanweald.

Since my uncle, ahs been a resident we have been more than happy with the treatment he has received all the staff we have dealings with are very helpful, kind and considerate and have the residents and relatives best interest at the fore.

I can't thank everyone enough for keeping my mother safe and happy.

The home is secure and I feel happily relaxed and comfortable here.

From what I see, my husband is cared for with great understanding and respect. He enjoys the meals and appreciates the activities and was pleased to be included in a recent visit to a local school. We both enjoyed the 14th February lunch and the musical entertainment. They are all a very professional, kind group of people with a different job to do.

Dad was at Rowanweald for 3 years. Being coeliac, the home was very helpful sorting his food. The staff were kind and caring not only with dad, but also made mum very welcome when she visited. Dad was very happy at the home and was treated with dignity to his end.

I found all the staff warming towards her, from the receptionist, manager, nurses and catering staff. Good leadership.

All of the staff were kind and attentive. My uncle had lived alone for 50 years and so having people coming to his room threw him somewhat and he could seem quite tense at times. The staff were understanding and handled him well. Our family were very happy with his care and are grateful for their good work including moving him to a better room when it became available.

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Have had three friends resident here, one was the first ever person to move in. All three are/were very difficult. The first lady told me how good the food was. Several of the staff have gone from the nursing home where my mother was and from the home where my friend (no. 2) was originally.
