The Green Residential Care Home

Feel that there ought, perhaps to be a dedicated 'family' room, when over night stays necessary.

Overall I have been comfortable and well looked after but there can be issues with staffing levels which I'n sure is an industry wide problem.

From the moment I walk into the reception at The Green, I feel welcome. All the staff are friendly, helpful and supportive. They treat my mum with dignity, respect and kindness. They make her feel important and special. It is lovely to see her involved in a variety of social activities and thriving despite the constraints of her dementia. Facilities are clean and well maintained and residents are offered a selection of home cooked meals in a well laid-out dining room. I'm consulted about changes in mum's care and feel my opinions are valued. I am reassured and grateful that mum is settled, safe and happy at The Green.

I have been here for approximately 3 and a half months. It is a well-maintained and spacious care home. My room, which involves an ensuite toilet and wash basin, is furnished with my belongings and is cleaned every day. The staff here are fully trained, efficient and friendly. My medical needs are fully and professionally provided for. I have regular daily freshly cooked meals, and "extra" snacks and drinks are provided. My visitors are warmly welcomed at any reasonable time. Entry and exit is security controlled. There is a spacious outside area with plenty of seating which awaits us in spring and summer.

When I leave after a visit I can go home relaxed knowing he is well looked after and more importantly that he is happy.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They are keen to listen to the views of residents. There is an incredible amount of space in the home and it doesn't feel like a traditional residential home. It's a pleasure to spend time there. There's a great variety of lounge and dining areas which provides many options. The corridors are wide and as a result of the space it is possible for my father to get a great deal of exercise walking around the home.

I have visited John as long as he has been there and my observations are that John and the other occupants are very well cared for and the staff are kind, caring and patient.

Mum had a week of respite care in November 2025. Mum has vascular dementia amd this was her first time in any form of care. We found mum was very well cared for, very well fed, and assisted with all her needs. She was safe and happy. The staff were all caring and professional. From the point of first contact with Sanctuary, the tour of the home for myself and siblings, and then booking her respite, was all handled smoothly. Her room was very clean and spacious and there was plenty of communal space. The outdoor area was secure and well tended. My siblings visited mum daily and were impressed with the level of care, and were made to feel very welcome. We would be very happy for mum to stay at The Green, Redruth, again. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and compassion.

The staff at The Green Residential Care Home are exceptional. We were blown away by how kind and dilligent they are. I was at ease knowing she was there. The building was having repairs during her stay and this posed a few challenges but the staff worked really hard to minimise this.

We had a friendly welcome, and as soon as I gave my aunt's name, they knew exactly who I was talking about. Sitting and chatting in the lounges was friendly. When lunch was called, she was welcomed to a table. We returned after lunch and sat with her in the bedroom. She relaxed and slept. Perhaps a chair for her in the bedroom would be good? We returned the next day, and she was up and dressed. As we do not visit often, she does not remember us well, but responded in conversation about familiar things. The home is a place she feels secure and is "home". Thank you.

Lovely home very friendly and have been excellent with my friend. I can't make find any fault with anything and meals are excellent.

The home that my sister is in could do with a mini bus so that they can go out, like the ones before used to take them out.

The only issue that I had was that when I picked up my mother her hair looked very greasy. So I do wander how often she had had a shower and hair wash during her 2 week stay.

Lovely care home, couldn't do enough to help when my mum, from a different care home (which was diabolical), kind, very caring staff, plenty of activities for residents to do, rooms are clean, clothes always neatly put away, plenty of choice for meals, always welcoming family to join in with activities, cannot fault the home at all

Moving my mother to The Green Residential Care Home has been wonderful. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their work, always treating residents with care and respect. Since arriving, my mother has become more like her old self before Alzheimer's-she's extremely happy, engaged, and has a new lease of life. The activities are thoughtful and varied, and the home is always clean and welcoming. Meals are delicious and tailored to residents' needs. I am so grateful for the outstanding care she receives and highly recommend The Green to anyone seeking a caring, supportive environment for their loved one.

When moving my gran into the home, they couldn't of welcomed her enough. They make all the effort to ensure residents are looked after and get the best possible care.

Went into respite for 1 week not what we were told it would be. One person a male very good.

The Green is a very pleasant home from home for my wife, when I visit I always get a pleasant hello from all staff who are all very caring and knowledgeable about their tasks. It is very nice. To know that when I leave she is well cared for and comfortable and I can relax in the knowledge that she is safe.
