The Green is an attractive home which has had an extensive internal refurbishment, with lots of wonderful spaces for the residents to relax with their loved ones, who are welcome at any time.

At the centre of the home is a beautiful, enclosed courtyard garden, where residents enjoy gardening activities. This summer they’ve loved growing their own produce, harvesting it for the chef to use in the kitchen. There are raised planters for residents in wheelchairs to enjoy gardening and sheltered seating so they can enjoy the fresh air even if it’s raining!

As well as residential and dementia care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which can be pre-booked and are ideal for family carers who would like to take a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

There are lots of welcoming, communal lounges and dining rooms, and a spacious, light and airy open plan entrance room with a piano off the main glass atrium. With so many spaces to enjoy, residents and their families really can enjoy quality time together.

The Green is a vibrant, thriving home where the team is passionate about enriching the lives of their residents with so many activities and experiences. From games and visits from well-behaved dogs, to arts and crafts and baking.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with an extremely talented chef who prepares delicious, home-cooked meals and even makes chocolates for the residents, as well as freshly baked cookies and cakes every day for afternoon tea.   

The local community is embraced into life in the home, from local singers and musicians to animal therapy groups, who bring along everything from rabbits to snakes. The residents also enjoy regular exercise sessions and appointments with a mobile hairdresser in the home’s salon.

Next door to Redruth Rugby Football Club, The Green is also a ten-minute walk from the town centre.

From the beginning, the management have been excellent and as helpful as they could be. The staff are all lovely and seem to really care about the residents. All the staff, including the kitchen staff, know everyone's name. The Green is a well thought out home providing as much comfort as they can
in what often are very difficult circumstances. I have looked at a lot of homes and this one is way ahead in my opinion. Thank you.

Our mother has lived at The Green for several years, she has dementia. We are a large family who visit regularly. Staff at The Green are friendly, caring and very hardworking, however there are times when more staff are needed to support residents at meal times etc. The Green is clean, tidy, warm
and welcoming. The food is plentiful and a very good quality. General thoughtfulness is excellent, for example, birthday cakes are provided and visitors are made welcome. We are always made aware of falls etc. Mum always seems happy and comfortable when we visit her.

Excellent continuing care for my mum as she continues to decline. Home does its best to ensure she gets to enjoy life as much as possible despite a decline in her dementia. Always lots of smiles, laughter and activities, despite all the hard work it takes to keep residents clean, fed, entertained and
safe. Such hard work but I am so very grateful. A great dedication that is much appreciated by me.

Residents enjoy a pleasant, safe home with their own room and ensuite. The lounges are in each pod, so residents can interact with six or seven others. Staff are well trained and offers friendly care and help. Management are always available, food is good and relatives can join in for Christmas meals
etc. There is a secured terraced garden and in a separate area, there are chickens to feed.

Mum has been in The Green since November and we couldn't be happier. She loves the activities every day and Health Care Assistant does a grand job. The care is excellent, the careers do an amazing job with all the residents. Feel very happy with mums care here.

The care home is situated in a quiet residential area with breathtaking views of the bay, looking towards Godrevy lighthouse.
The staff, both domestic and carers are always friendly and willing to help and full of empathy towards the resident.
The food, with a varied menu, is excellent with tea
and coffee available at all times for visitors and residents.
Cleanliness is good with a lovely odour of freshness about the home.

From day one the whole family were happy to leave 'papa' at The Green because we knew we was treated as an individual with care, respect and love.
The carers learnt quickly what sort of character he was and tailored their style with him.
We never imagined papa in a care home, but his Dementia left
us no choice and we are so glad we found The Green. It is a wonderful place.

The staff at The Green are very caring and very helpful every room is always clean and the food is excellent. I have had a meal there on several occasions especially at Christmas when they do a lovely Christmas dinner for the residents and families and on Boxing day when all the residents and families

This is an excellent care home. In particular the management and staff are brilliant. My mother has had nothing but superb care for the years she has lived at The Green. I also like the layout with each small group of residents having a lounge/dining area where they eat their meals and have comfortable
chairs and TV. Each of these areas is right by their rooms and significantly reduces any 'institutional' feel. Visitors are always welcome, no matter what time of day.

The Green is an amazing home where my mother has settled extremely well having had a dire experience at another place previously where the dementia care and knowledge was very lacking/non existent!
I have recommended The Green to many friends and acquaintances (three have taken up residence already).
All the staff from the cleaners through the senior management cannot do enough. It is a pleasure for me to know my mother is being so well cared for.
