All staff are very professional, caring and helpful , my mum took a while to settle in but I know that she is safe and starting to enjoy her surroundings. They offer a good variety of activities and mum particularly likes the music afternoons. My mother has a good appetite and really enjoys the food at Kintyre House. Her needs are being met and she is being well looked after. They have lots of outside seating areas and a beautiful garden at the rear of the property with plenty of seating available. They can also be taken for walks around the nearby Saltburn Community woods.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're delighted to hear your mother is settling in well and enjoying the music afternoons, delicious meals, and beautiful surroundings. It means a great deal to know you feel she is safe, supported, and receiving the care she deserves.

Kintyre Care Home has made an amazing turnaround in the quality of care they provide. My mum's constant medical and personal needs are now met with consistency, urgency, and genuine attention. When something goes wrong, staff escalate issues quickly and keep me fully informed. They're approachable, easy to speak to, and open to concerns or ideas that support my mum's best interests. The atmosphere in the home has improved massively, communication is clearer, and the working relationship between families and staff feels stronger and more positive. Overall, the service has gone from poor to truly excellent.

There has been a change in the management team recently, and the improvements have been very noticeable. There is a strong sense of organisation, leadership, and commitment to high standards, which is reflected in the overall quality of care provided.
Our son, who is a paramedic, visits many care homes-most of which rely heavily on agency staff who may not know the residents well. He is always reassured to see the same dedicated and familiar team caring for his grandfather as when he first arrived.
Although we live some distance away, we visit regularly, and the staff are consistently excellent at keeping in touch.

My father has been a resident for five years and during that time I have been happy with the way all the staff have contributed to looking after dad from helping him to settle in and continuing to adapt to dad's needs as they change. The staff all treat dad with dignity and kindness. I am pleased to say that a lot of improvements have recently been put in place at Kintyre, including higher levels of staff, improvements to the building and garden and better communication between management and relatives all of which have made a positive difference. I feel welcomed by all the staff and enjoy chatting to the other residents and since our new activities co ordinator started a few months ago dad and I have enjoyed taking part in the fun activities.
Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear that your father has felt supported and cared for over the years. It's wonderful to know that the recent improvements and activities have made a positive difference for both of you. Your kind words about the team's dedication and the welcoming atmosphere mean so much to us.
The care and respect he is given from staff and management is wonderful. I can't thank them enough.
All done to a very high standard. Most important he is safe, secure and content, every need taken care of in a calm and happy environment.
I would highly recommend Kintyre House.

I think the care home is excellent care for my father in law. The staff are kind and generous. My father in law gets on well with all staff, he feels safe & secure. Myself and my wife feel the management team are very supportive and approachable. Meals are excellent. Highly recommend care home 100%
Thank you for your wonderful review. We're so pleased to hear your father-in-law feels safe and supported, and that you and your wife find our team approachable and caring. Your recommendation means a lot to us!
My aunt has lived in Kintyre for a number of years. In that time, she has become increasingly frail and her needs more complex. The staff at Kintyre are caring and compassionate and have adapted how they support my aunt as her needs have changed. They have always responded positively and speedily when I raised concerns and I can tell from the way her face lights up when carers enter the room that she feels safe, valued and loved by the people around her. The activities on offer vary depending on what the residents enjoy and how they are feeling on that day, but what they have in common is fun and dignity. In the last few weeks, my aunt has been really under the weather, and I will never forget the heartfelt compassion shown by staff. This is what we want for our loved ones - to know that when we are not able to be with them, they are with people who show them love and are there with them when they are at their most vulnerable. It is the staff that makes Kintyre special!
Home is always clean and tidy and varied entertainment and trips out are provided.
I have visited this care home regularly throughout March 2023. The staff are all friendly to me and very caring to my mum, who is a resident, now bedridden. She is checked on regularly, and her position is moved frequently. I couldn't ask for more care for her, and I am very happy with all aspects of this.
