Fantastic care home. Staff are all friendly and very helpful. Plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied. The care my dad receives is above and beyond. Thank you for all you do for my dad. Glad to see he is in good hands.
Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are all wonderful, helpful, friendly and professional. The home is clean and tidy, well-run and managed. My father is well cared for, clean, treated with dignity, respect and love. Very good medical care and attention. Very grateful for Kintyre House Care Home and every member of staff who works here.
May they all go from strength to strength. God bless.
I am very happy with the care my granny-in-law receives at Kintyre, family are always kept in the loop, meals are nice and can cook whatever she may fancy. Always clean and tidy with no unpleasant odours, staff are very friendly and approachable.
Great honest staff, fantastic activities very clean facility good selection of meals and always offering taster menus for families of residents prior to new menu changes. Hairdressing and pedicures are available on a regular basis.
Today I was able to have my lunch with her, lovely fish and chips! Mum said it was lovely to have a member of the family to eat with her, this is something that she misses now she doesn't have her own home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - glad you enjoyed the fish and chips! Best wishes.
My parents were admitted into Kintyre House residential care home in August and my family and I have been incredibly impressed by the care and attention that the staff at the home have provided. My mum, unfortunately, passed away in September however the team afforded us great support throughout such a trying period. Now, my dad has settled well in his new surroundings and enjoys being involved in the daily events that the home arrange. We would really recommend Kintyre House to anyone considering residential care for their loved ones.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home, it is so appreciated by our team. We're so sorry to hear of the passing of your mum, I am sure she will be missed by the whole team, but it is so reassuring to hear how well your dad has settled in with us at Kintyre House. Best wishes.
Food is very good and varied and the staff are always polite and helpful.
Cleanliness is always to a very high standard.
The staff are all friendly and my wife and I always get a warm welcome when we visit.
My father went to Kintyre House because the care he was getting from his previous care provider was lacking, to say the least, he was left wet for 3 days on 2 occasions when the local social services stepped in and found his placement.
It is with pleasure I would recommend Kintyre House as a safe caring environment for people with Alzheimer's and Dementia, like my 91-year-old father.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our home and team at Kintyre House Care Home. We are so saddened to hear about your previous experience in care, and we are just so glad that your experience at Kintyre House has been so different. Best wishes.
I enjoy the meals, I feel that they are alright and alternatives are on offer.
My room has recently been redecorated and I am delighted with the outcome.
Staff treat me with respect and always make me smile.
The staff have been amazing with my mum. I’m so grateful for the manager (past and present) and her awesome team, from senior nurses to kitchen staff. Everyone has been so good to my mum and her particular needs, nothing is too much trouble and I feel so comforted knowing she’s being looked after by these guys. It’s never an easy decision for your loved ones to go into care but all the staff here are fab and so upbeat, even on my mum's more negative days. Thank you to the entire team, there aren’t enough words for how grateful I am.
Thank you so much for your kind words and wonderful review of our team and the care we provide. Our team will so appreciate it and it's wonderful to hear how comforted you are knowing your mum is safe in our care. Best wishes, Fae.
This is a great care home with fantastic carers who do an excellent job with the residents. Well done to you all for all the hard work that you do. My mum has settled in really well here and loves being around all the girls and helping them out doing tasks during the day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home and for your kind words about our team and the care we provide. It is so appreciated. Best wishes
Very polite staff and very kind towards my Great Aunty. Thank you very much!
Polite and friendly staff - grandfather appears settled and in a happy environment.
All staff members are always friendly and helpful at times of communication. Many thanks, for everyone's assistance.
The pictures of this home are outdated - the shrubs shown in the gardens have been removed, both at the front of the home and the rear gardens as well.
My Mum was a resident at this home for a period of just under two years. During that time she rarely made it out into the garden, despite us requesting this on a number of occasions. The activity program was woeful, with the activity coordinators being furloughed during Covid19 in 2020 when residents were kept to their rooms and also served meals in their rooms.
We raised a number of issues throughout Mum's stay, most of which were ignored, or not passed on to the care team actually looking after Mum. Despite a change in ownership and management, the care home scores have declined.
There is no longer a quiet room for residents or for visitors to meet with residents as this was turned into an office.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. Our home is proud to have actually improved our Care Inspectorate Rating and Scores since our new management joined us – rather than declined as stated. Our gardens are also currently undergoing a revamp as we speak, adding in some wonderfully...
You are always made to feel welcome and my Aunt is well cared for and she says they are all very nice to her.
Service is very good.
My father-in-law seems very happy and speaks highly of the staff, he is well cared for.

At Kintyre House, I’m passionate about Enriching Lives. We strive to create a warm, supportive environment where residents feel truly at home and staff are empowered to grow. By nurturing our team, we ensure the highest standard of person-centred care is delivered every single day.

Affectionately known as the 'Mother of Kintyre', Rita was shortlisted as a finalist for the Sara Berrio Care Champion Award in the National Care Awards 2023.
Nominated for so many, many reasons, Rita is quite simply inspirational.
She supports our residents to have such an active role to play in the running of their homes, giving them such a sense of pride and belonging.
Rita even volunteers on her days off to take one of our residents shopping.
The support she gives to the families of residents is phenomenal and makes them feel truly part of the home. When new residents move in, Rita is outside to welcome them as they arrive, helping their loved ones with the bags and settling them into their new bedroom.
