My mother was admitted for emergency respite care for two weeks due to my father emergency admission to hospital for 10 days.
Breme, Bromsgrove staff were professional, friendly and outstanding to my mothers care and needs at all times.
I would not hesitate to if the need arises in the future for her to stay again.

Thank you.

My mother moves into Breme in 5th January 2026 she loves the people and the cares and all the support she has in the home. She is a bit shy meeting new people however she is encouraged by staff to come out of her room and mix with other residents. Also to attend activities.

My mother has Alzheimer's and has been a resident here for just over a year. In that time her care has been exemplary. She is so content now, her physical health has improved as has her mental health. Whenever I have any concerns there is someone available to talk and sort it out with me. I am kept updated and can relax knowing that she is safe and happy.

I have day visits weekly and have stay as a resident once for 10 days. My day visits are very good and I enjoy my stay.

But on staying as a resident for the 10 days 2024, I felt the provided activities were not available. Before staying I believed several activities would be available to me. I came away dissapointed, but enjoy and continue with the day centre. I would only like to stay as a resident for a week if activities (some) are available for me to take part in.

Reply from Kate Yates, Communications and Content Specialist at Breme Residential Care Home

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're delighted to hear how much you enjoy your day visits, but we're sorry to learn that your recent stay did not meet your expectations regarding activities. We truly value your input and will review how we can improve activity availability for our short-stay...

I've been taking my mother, who suffers with Alzheimer's dementia, to the day centre twice a week for the best part of a year regularly. It's been a game changer for us both in a positive way. It gets her socialised, occupied and above all, makes her feel part of a friendship group that alleviates her anxiety, makes her feel safe, welcomed, useful and doesn't highlight her condition. She feels normal and not compromised which is extremely important to her overall mental health. She loves being there, her mood lifts consistently and gives her purpose for those two days. As her main carer, this positively impacts our relationship and alleviates my own stress, giving me more time for me, knowing she is happy and safe and well cared for. The staff are exemplary. Warm, inviting and constantly providing activities. I cannot recommend the day centre highly enough.

My wife, of sixty-two years, is well looked after and that's the important consideration when I left her there. She seems happy, smallish room but compact, friendly staff. Hardworking but almost always a smile. When I take her out for a meal to a restaurant, she always has a smile on returning.

My mum went into Breme Residential Care Home yesterday. All the staff were so kind and helpful. A room was arranged so quickly, in less than an hour, so that we were able to take her in on the same day.

It was very traumatic for my dad and I but all the staff were so supportive. The reception staff went above and beyond to help us.

I have attended Breme Residential Care Home since last year. I have stayed for respite and now I have come to live at Breme. I have stayed on Mulberry Suite which is beautiful and I now have a room on the ground floor. I feel very safe and everyone is very kind to me. The manager is very good and spends time to chat to me and listens.
