Providing residential and dementia care, the home has launched its beautiful eight-bed Mulberry Suite offering respite care breaks, which can be pre-booked up to six months ahead. This unique service means that family carers can have some ‘me time’, whilst their loved one is being cared for in wonderful surroundings. The suite has beautifully decorated bedrooms with ensuite wet rooms, a communal lounge and dining area, kitchenette and a quiet study area.

And person-centred day care sessions are also provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays (9.30am to 4.30pm). These sessions include fabulous activities, a delicious lunch and afternoon tea and refreshments.

The gardens at Breme are a beautiful space for the residents to grow their own fruit and veg, which they pick for the chef to use in the kitchen, giving them such a sense of achievement.

There are visits from local nursery children and volunteers, a local vicar who holds religious services, animal visits, pamper sessions, weekly community coffee mornings, live music, baking, fitness classes and so much more! There is also a minibus, for regular day trips. The home also has fantastic links with Bromsgrove Library, keeping the residents regularly supplied with reading materials!

The beautiful gardens are perfect for summer picnics, parties and relaxing with family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time. The home also has its own private Facebook group, so loved ones can stay connected and see what the residents are enjoying, even if they can’t be there that day.

Breme has beautiful bedrooms, with ensuite wet rooms, several of which have patio access to the gardens. There is also a salon, for weekly appointments with a mobile hairdresser.

There are lovely lounge areas and dining rooms, where residents enjoy delicious, home-cooked food and home-baked treats for afternoon tea. The residents also enjoy regular cheese and wine nights.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Mum seems happy and cared for. I wonder sometimes if Dad didn't come most lunchtimes if Mum would be fed as diligently i.e. I am not sure if the staff would encourage and help her enough. They are happy to respond to any requests for help and are good with Mum. There doesn't seem to be much stimulus,
although for Mum this would be difficult and possibly inappropriate but for those more able, there seems to be very few activities despite the list on the board suggesting there are.

"Thank you for your review. The mealtime experience in our home is very important and it is lovely when family members take part in this. However, I can assure you that all our residents, in particular, the ones who need extra assistance are always supported and encouraged to eat at all times.


With regards to activities, our dedicated activities co-ordinator works hard to provide a stimulating and varied activities plan each week, which is shaped by what our residents like to do, including group and one-to-one activities. That being said we do encourage residents and their loved ones to provide feedback if there is something they wish to do, so if you would like to discuss this further I would love to hear from you, my door is always open."

Mum appears to be very happy and content at Breme Residential Care Home. My family and I are made to feel very welcome when we visit, mum enjoys the activities that are arranged and the company of the staff. She does not seem to communicate with the other residents but this may be because of her condition.
It would be nice if the television and radio could be set to the age group of the residents. Perhaps a video library of films and musicals. However, mum seems to have got used to "Judge Judy" in fact she likes it! I appreciate it may be a staff issue but it's a shame the residents are not using your lovely garden more often.

In terms of our beautiful gardens, we do host garden parties and summer fetes and during the summer month's my team are often seen sitting outside with residents. However, we do find as the months get cooler residents are less interested in going outside and prefer to take part in activities in the lounge, but we are on hand if anyone would like some company in the garden. Our residents are a variety of ages so the programmes depend on who is watching that particular day as we do try to cater for all tastes.”

Overall mum is looked after very well, taking into consideration how difficult it must be. I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful and always treat mum very kindly showing a great deal of patience. They never fail to contact me if there is a problem or mum has a fall.

As a regular visitor on a daily basis Breme Residential Care Home is a friendly and caring home in which my mum is very happy. The staff make you feel welcome and part of the caring team which as a family helps us deal with mums daily struggles. I find staff approachable, kind natured and obliging.
Breme Residential Care Home has become not only my mums home but our families second home.

We had some concerns, regarding settling in. But facilities set up to address our concerns and issues were resolved. My husband's health issues were dealt with promptly. Family and friends made very welcome, at all times! The staff helpful and friendly.

Mum was placed here by Worcester hospital. She settled in because all staff made her feel welcome and wanted from day one. Her room is light and airy overlooking the school field and nicely decorated, furnished and clean. Mum is always dressed in matching clothes and the staff make an effort to add
a necklace or scarf to her outfit, which pleases her. Activities are good and we like to join in! The in-house hairdresser is an added bonus. Food is freshly made and presented nicely on her plate. It is a truly lovely, caring environment.
