Beechwood is a lovely care home made special by the caring professional staff & knowing we have made the right choice for mum.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're so pleased your mother feels safe and settled, and that she's enjoying the activities and weekly hairdressing. It means a great deal to hear such lovely comments about our caring team and homely atmosphere.
Staff are always, friendly, happy to help and a relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you for sharing this lovely feedback. It's wonderful to hear that our team's friendly approach and the relaxed atmosphere help create a positive experience. We truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
Both my mother and father lived at Beechwood at separate times, mum was there for 7 years and dad for 5 years. We, as a family, cannot praise Beechwood Care Home enough, the care and respect given to mum and dad during their time there was excellent. The staff across the home, from the cleaning staff right up to management, are all brilliant and make Beechwood the wonderful, caring home that it is. We will never be able to find enough words to thank them.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. It means the world to hear that both your parents received such compassionate and respectful care over the years. We're incredibly proud of our team and grateful for your kind words recognising their dedication.
The staff were all very kind & friendly and professional. They welcomed us all, made my dad feel very at home and quickly they learnt all his needs.
The care was outstanding. The food wonderful and the homely atmosphere a joy. After 12 days my dad was walking with his frame to go for coffee and for lunch where at home he was unable to walk. Fabulous care and attention from all staff.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're delighted your father felt at home and received such positive care during his stay at Beechwood. Hearing that he regained mobility and enjoyed the atmosphere means a lot to our team. We'll be sure to share your kind words with everyone here.
Her stay there was 12 weeks in total.
Mother loved the staff she found them kind and considerate and the meals they provided were excellent.
There are a vast amount of activities, Mother enjoyed the trips out in the mini bus the most and said that Dee who organised and encouraged the residents to participate in these outings was amazing.
Although Mother wanted to return to her own home she was sad to leave as she had felt 'at home' at Beechwood and said she would miss the lovely staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased your mother felt at home during her stay at Beechwood and enjoyed the care, meals, and activities. It's wonderful to know she connected with our team and will miss them. We wish her all the best back in her own home.
dad is very happy (treated like a king his words)

Strongly recommend
Extremely pleasant staff every time we visit and always find time to say hello
Just can not do enough for you
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear your dad felt so well cared for, "treated like a king" is wonderful to hear! It means a lot that you and your family felt supported during such a difficult time. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to the team.
My husband attends Beechwood as a Day Care User once a week. I was a bit anxious as to how he would react to this but it is working out much better than I could have expected. My husband asks each day if he is going. He clearly enjoys himself. From the moment we enter the doors we are greeted and my husband is immediately engaged in conversation about what he is having for lunch which distracts him from worrying about leaving me. He goes off happily which sets my mind at rest. When I collect him he is always quite content and the staff give me a brief outline of what he has been doing. There seems to be a variety of activities on offer and he especially welcomes the chance to chat with other people. I am so confident the my husband will be well looked after that we have booked some respite care for him later this year.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We're thrilled to hear your husband enjoys his time at Beechwood and that it brings you peace of mind. It's lovely to know he feels welcomed and engaged, and we're glad the activities and social interaction are making a positive impact. We truly appreciate your trust in us and look forward to supporting you both during his upcoming respite care.
The care and attention that was given to her was wonderful during the time that she was in care.
Furthermore I was kept fully informed on any issues or change in her medication. The staff are very dedicated and always available.
We're truly grateful for the opportunity to care for your wife and are pleased to hear that our team's support and communication made a positive difference. Your feedback means a lot to us and will be shared with the staff.
Mum received excellent care during the 16 months she spent at Beechwood. From the transition period from home to the care home through to the sad passing of Mum, the staff couldn't have been more supporting, providing the care, love and dignity we all would wish for.
Thank you for such heartfelt words, we will be sure to share them with the home manager and her team at Beechwood. We are so sorry for your loss, but truly grateful to have been part of your mum's journey and to have provided the care and support she deserved. Your kind words are a testament to the dedication of the staff, who will be very proud to read them.
He received outstanding, hollistic care and his complex dementia needs were consistently met. He was always treated with dignity and kindness. Communication with me was excellent and as POA for health and welfare, I always felt fully included in any decision about my father's care plan. The environment is spacious, light and stimulating and the staff kind and friendly. I couldn't have asked for more for my father.
Thank you for your heartfelt words. We are so pleased to hear that your father received the wonderful care he deserved. It will mean so much to the team to know that you felt so included and supported throughout his time at Beechwood. Wishing you and your family all the best.
Treatment of mum are the but 3 years has been outstanding. Her last few days she was treated with dignity and empathy. Many thanks to all staff + management.
Thank you for your kind words, especially written at such a difficult time. The team feel privileged to have been able to care for your mum and grateful that you felt she was treated with such dignity and empathy. Wishing you and your family comfort.
My mother and stepfather have been visiting The Beechwood as guests for a few years now and chose it for when the time came for themselves to need additional support. My stepfather spent three weeks there as a respite resident whilst he recovered from a hip replacement surgery and always spoke - and continues to speak - exceedingly highly of the staff, their work ethic, their compassion and kindness, and the support he received. He also loved the food! My mother is now at The Beechwood as a full-time, permanent resident as she has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. It was extremely hard letting our mum go and putting her in as a resident, but the manager went out of her way to reassure both us and her; and I know now having tried to care for her myself at home, that this type of care requires a team of professional, highly dedicated, kind people. This team is at the Beechwood.
Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review. We're honoured that your family chose Beechwood for your mother and stepfather's care. We truly appreciate your kind words about our team and will be sure to share them with the home manager, who will be touched to read your comments, thank you.
I can't thank the staff enough for all they have done to help her settle in so quickly. She has dementia, so any change is a big deal, but I haven't seen her looking so relaxed in a long time. It's great that she can walk around the home and into the garden, which she will love when the weather is better.
And she keeps busy 'helping' with things which suits her much better than just being sat in front of the TV.
Sadly, I've had reason to visit a lot of different care homes over the last few years and Beechwood Residential Care Home is the best by a long way.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're thrilled to hear that your mum has settled in so well at Beechwood Residential Care Home. It's wonderful to know she feels so relaxed and is enjoying her freedom to move around the home and garden. We love helping our residents to keep active and...
The environment and layout are very nice as the place is divided into separate areas, each with its own day room and kitchen. This means that all the residents are not gathered together in one large area. The gardens are lovely and mature.
The staff were also fantastic when my dad passed away there and kept us informed about his condition and when we should come down to see him.
Slight negative is that the rooms are quite small with no en-suite but Mum spends most of her time in the day room anyway.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the care, cleanliness and professional and friendly staff at Beechwood and am happy we chose the place for Mum.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're so pleased to hear that your mum has settled into Beechwood so well and that you're happy with the care and professionalism of our team. It's wonderful to know that you appreciate the thoughtful layout of our home and the gardens, which...
Nothing is too much trouble for the delightful staff who work here and they will always make time to talk or help in whatever way they can. They really care. The residence is very clean and in beautiful surroundings. I am looking forward to staying here for a long time yet.
Thank you for sharing your story and such kind words about your experience of Beechwood. We're so glad that we could provide a safe and welcoming environment during what must have been a challenging time. It's wonderful to hear that you've decided to make this your home and that our staff have made...
I like the way that the building is on one level with beautiful gardens to look at through the windows. In the summer, the French doors to each unit are open with a gentle, fresh breeze blowing through. Each unit is a little family. There is never enough time and twice as many carers would be perfect but not in the real world. Everyone is caring and treats the residents with dignity. Mealtimes are important and a good social time.
Thank you for your lovely review of Beechwood. We're so glad you enjoy the layout of our home and the beauty of our gardens. We strive to create a family-like atmosphere in each unit, and it's great to know you feel this way. Thank you for highlighting the importance of mealtimes and the dignity our team offers to residents. Your kind words mean a lot to us.
The lovely staff at Beechwood Residential Care Home supported my husband with the transition into residential care and he has settled well. He likes everyone there and they work hard to make it a real home and are so welcoming to visitors.
Thank you for your five-star review for Beechwood. We're delighted to hear that your husband has settled in well and feels so at home there. Our team is dedicated to making the transition into residential care as smooth as possible and it's wonderful to know that he feels comfortable and welcomed.
My uncle has been a resident for many years and has always received the best of care. The staff are respectful of his needs and are always happy to discuss any worries I may have. I live a distance away and I am notified quickly and caringly of any worries the staff have between my visits.
Thank you for your review of Beechwood, the team are passionate about continually having excellent communication with family and loved ones.
I've booked my room, can't wait.
Thank you for your five-star review for Beechwood, the team will be delighted to read your fantastic words of praise regarding your aunt's care.
Mum is well looked after at Beechwood Residential Care Home. All staff members know her by name and treat her with the utmost kindness and respect. She's evidently happy and at home here. Her personal care is attended to with an understanding of her needs but also an understanding of her wishes, which are not always aligned!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review for Beechwood, the team are certainly very special and will be delighted to read your comments.
