Beechwood is a thriving care home full of activity, which has a warm, family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Not only do the team provide residential and dementia care, they also offer pre-bookable respite care breaks. These are ideal for carers who might need a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The enormous gardens are the perfect spot for residents to enjoy growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, which is then used in the kitchen, where the chef creates delicious home-cooked meals.

During the summer, the team supported residents to create their own personalised garden plots and window boxes, where they have grown everything from flowers and beetroot to tomatoes. And the gardens are perfect for when ponies from the local riding stables pop in.

The team are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and supporting them to have a very active role in how their home is run. Beechwood’s resident ambassadors provide feedback at residents’ and relatives’ meetings and welcome potential residents, spending time answering any questions they or their loved ones might have.

The local community is embraced into life at Beechwood. Local nursery children, community volunteers, a singing group, Gina’s exercise class and Malvern Community Library are all regulars. Animal visits are also popular, with everything from therapy dogs to reptiles!

Every Friday people from the Upton community join the residents for coffee and cake (11am- 2pm).

A hairdresser visits for weekly appointments in the home’s salon, and there is a large lounge, as well as smaller lounge areas and a conservatory to spend time with family and friends, who are welcome at any time. And families can also see what the residents have been enjoying doing on the home’s private Facebook page.

Beechwood Care Home provides quality care and a friendly environment for my husband every time he comes in to give me much-needed respite. He is always happy and all staff without exception do a superb job looking after him. I would recommend your home to anyone looking for respite or full-time care
and my daughter and I as well as friends who've visited are equally impressed by the friendly and helpful staff.
I know whenever I leave my husband he is in good hands and will be well cared for, and I would like to thank everyone for enabling me to leave him without worrying. I am a grateful carer.

I am very pleased that my father has settled into this lovely care home which I feel is very clean with good staff. Every time I visit Dad he looks well-presented and cared for. I would recommend this home if I was asked by anyone who was looking for a home for their loved one.

Mum moved into Beechwood in January 2018. This was a huge change for Mum a very independent person.
The worries of maintaining a property, bills, washing, cooking, etc were lifted away. She had company, 24-hour care, went to sleep at night, took her medication regularly, lots of good food and activities.
The
biggest factor was the love and dignified care of the staff, nothing was too much trouble.
Mum made friends while retaining her independence with her homely room to retreat to. Once settled she embraced life at Beechwood and it became her happy home for 5 years.
As a daughter, you always worry about doing the right thing. Such a relief to see Mum settle and witness the care she received and how well she responded to it.
We became part of the Beechwood community and I became a volunteer at the weekend. Meeting and greeting family members and friends of other relatives, sharing my and their experiences and I hope helping and reassuring them through a difficult time.

My mother has been at Beechwood for about five months. We chose Beechwood because it's relatively small and homely; larger homes were too overwhelming and 'posh' for her. The rooms are quite small, and not ensuite, but the facilities, lounge, and dining area are just a few steps away.
Mum's first few
weeks were difficult - she was anxious and uncooperative - but the staff were extremely patient and caring. Eventually, she settled down, her mood improved dramatically, and she has been fine ever since. She is now healthier, happier, and more relaxed and cheerful than she has been for years, and she doesn't want to be anywhere else!

Managed professionally and care excellent all round. Home clean and food lots of choice, well cooked. Nothing is too much trouble for them to do anytime, always with a smile and comforting when needed. Well led, happy staff and most importantly happy residents. My parents have been residents at Beechwood Residential Care Home since the end of July 2023 and I can honestly say this is the best care home in so many ways! This staff, every single one of them, have looked after my parents incredibly. Always on hand, they are so caring, genuinely caring about their
residents and families. Healthcare is second to none and there is so much for the residents to do. The home itself is inviting, my parents love it, my dad thinks he's in a hotel! Can't recommend enough.

My mother needed emergency respite care whilst her long term needs were assessed. The assessment team showed her every respect and consideration and within 24 hours they had seamlessly organised for her to move into Beechwood Residential Care Home. We were met on arrival with smiles and warm words from
everyone and this has been the case every day since. All I wanted for Mum was for her to be made to feel safe, valued and well looked after and I cannot think of anywhere nicer for her to be. The home is warm, feels homely and happy. Because everything is so well taken care of, I can visit and enjoy spending time with her instead of worrying about what needs to be done. Thank you all.

Following my dad's death in April 203, it became apparent that my mum could not cope on her own due to Alzheimer's. I was recommended to Beechwood by a relative. On looking around, the staff were all very pleasant and professional, and the home had a nice, homely atmosphere. Mum has been in the home
since June, and she looks a lot better in herself. She is always clean and tidy, and I cannot fault the care of all the staff - it is excellent. I would like to thank the manager and all the staff for the excellent care they give to Mum and all the residents.

The first couple of weeks were difficult for mother to adjust to, however, the staff were very supportive and reassuring and slowly things improved. One or two problems were brought to the manager's attention and they were dealt with swiftly. All the staff are helpful and polite with a good general

My mother was cared for at Beechwood Residential Care Home for two and a half years. She was always well cared for, personal wishes were respected. Mum was surrounded by a wonderful staff team, who went above and beyond. As a family, we felt she was really loved by them all. Thank you to everyone.

Beechwood is a pleasant facility, not at all like an institution. There are many homely features scattered about the communal areas, like family photos and old fireplaces.
The staff always give me the sense that they really do care. There never seems to be a feeling that they are 'going through the
motions'.
For me, the people who care for Mum are the most important thing, and the people at Beechwood make me feel confident that Mum is very well looked after.

The staff at Beechwood Residential Care Home put on a party for my mum's 100th which was absolutely brilliant. We paid for a singer who was great. The food and drink was excellent and more than enough. Most of the residents attended which mum really enjoyed. Since she has been at Beechwood the staff
have looked after my mum so well. I can not thank them enough.

My experience with Beechwood Residential Care Home has been excellent. My mum has been living there for just over 12 months. She has received the best care possible. All the staff are extremely caring to both my mum and me. They are very supportive, and I must say, always cheerful in what has been an
extremely hard two years for everyone, and they have managed to keep all the residents safe during the worst of the pandemic. I would thoroughly recommend Beechwood.

My wife enetered Beechwood just eight months ago suffering from Alzhimer's/Dementia as well as other chronic conditions. The care she has received has been exemplary in all ways, and I have been kept informed about her condition and welfare at all times. Covid caused so difficulty, sure, but did not
prevent visits to see my wife. I, and our children, are pleased to see the staff's attention to detail.

I have been so impressed over the last 2 years with the dedication of all the staff at Beechwood. They have worked so hard to keep residents safe whilst allowing as much visiting as possible in the circumstances. On a more general note, Beechwood is a happy place with very much a family atmosphere.
