Beechwood Residential Care Home

A massive thank you to the amazing team at Beechwood for their kind, compassionate and incredibly supportive care for our Mum throughout her two-year stay. They ensured throughout my Mum's time with them that she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, we were always kept informed and supported as a family on her journey. Sadly, my Mum died in April 2024, but what was amazing was the empathy and compassion demonstrated to the end. The team worked tirelessly to ensure they adapted to all of my mum's requirements and worked so diligently to ensure she was happy and comfortable. We will be forever grateful and would not hesitate to recommend Beechwood to anyone else.

The Beechwood team provide a consistently high standard of care for Mum with a good understanding of her individual needs. She enjoys the range of activities available and there is a real family feel to the home, with residents grouped into smaller units where they can eat together, relax and socialise. Visitors are always made to feel very welcome and staff are friendly and approachable. Regular meetings are also held to update friends and family on plans and give opportunities for discussion and feedback. Overall warmly recommended.

As a neighbour and close friend of a resident who moved into the Beechwood nearly two years ago and who visits him regularly, I cannot speak too highly of the care he has received from all the staff members at all times. Particularly evident is the cheerful, friendly atmosphere which pervades all areas of the home, from the manager downwards. There are plenty of activities arranged for the residents and regular opportunities for residents and staff to meet and discuss matters affecting all areas of the home. An outstanding successful feature is the division into separate areas for relaxation and the eating of meals enabling those in each area to get to know each other well, while communal activities ensure there is plenty of opportunity for wider communication between residents.

I know whenever I leave my husband he is in good hands and will be well cared for, and I would like to thank everyone for enabling me to leave him without worrying. I am a grateful carer.

I am very pleased that my father has settled into this lovely care home which I feel is very clean with good staff. Every time I visit Dad he looks well-presented and cared for. I would recommend this home if I was asked by anyone who was looking for a home for their loved one.

We became part of the Beechwood community and I became a volunteer at the weekend. Meeting and greeting family members and friends of other relatives, sharing my and their experiences and I hope helping and reassuring them through a difficult time.

The staff are very welcoming, Cheerful, attentive and caring. Beechwood is always clean, bright and well-maintained. Regular and varied activities appear to be run We receive regular updates and communication is excellent.

Well all the staff from my experience are happy and all doing something when ever I visit so if I don't engage, they are focused on their tasks. Can't ask for any more, no complaints. My pop is always clean, well presented and seems happy in his situation. Again, no complaints. So carry on the good work.

Mum's first few weeks were difficult - she was anxious and uncooperative - but the staff were extremely patient and caring. Eventually, she settled down, her mood improved dramatically, and she has been fine ever since. She is now healthier, happier, and more relaxed and cheerful than she has been for years, and she doesn't want to be anywhere else!

Managed professionally and care excellent all round. Home clean and food lots of choice, well cooked. Nothing is too much trouble for them to do anytime, always with a smile and comforting when needed. Well led, happy staff and most importantly happy residents. There is nothing I can say that’s negative or cause for concern about my father’s stay in this lovely home, he's happy and we’re all happy with everything.

My parents have been residents at Beechwood Residential Care Home since the end of July 2023 and I can honestly say this is the best care home in so many ways! This staff, every single one of them, have looked after my parents incredibly. Always on hand, they are so caring, genuinely caring about their residents and families. Healthcare is second to none and there is so much for the residents to do. The home itself is inviting, my parents love it, my dad thinks he's in a hotel! Can't recommend enough.

My mother needed emergency respite care whilst her long term needs were assessed. The assessment team showed her every respect and consideration and within 24 hours they had seamlessly organised for her to move into Beechwood Residential Care Home. We were met on arrival with smiles and warm words from everyone and this has been the case every day since. All I wanted for Mum was for her to be made to feel safe, valued and well looked after and I cannot think of anywhere nicer for her to be. The home is warm, feels homely and happy. Because everything is so well taken care of, I can visit and enjoy spending time with her instead of worrying about what needs to be done. Thank you all.

Following my dad's death in April 203, it became apparent that my mum could not cope on her own due to Alzheimer's. I was recommended to Beechwood by a relative. On looking around, the staff were all very pleasant and professional, and the home had a nice, homely atmosphere. Mum has been in the home since June, and she looks a lot better in herself. She is always clean and tidy, and I cannot fault the care of all the staff - it is excellent. I would like to thank the manager and all the staff for the excellent care they give to Mum and all the residents.

The first couple of weeks were difficult for mother to adjust to, however, the staff were very supportive and reassuring and slowly things improved. One or two problems were brought to the manager's attention and they were dealt with swiftly. All the staff are helpful and polite with a good general atmosphere and feeling about the home.

My mother was cared for at Beechwood Residential Care Home for two and a half years. She was always well cared for, personal wishes were respected. Mum was surrounded by a wonderful staff team, who went above and beyond. As a family, we felt she was really loved by them all. Thank you to everyone.

For me, the people who care for Mum are the most important thing, and the people at Beechwood make me feel confident that Mum is very well looked after.

The staff at Beechwood Residential Care Home put on a party for my mum's 100th which was absolutely brilliant. We paid for a singer who was great. The food and drink was excellent and more than enough. Most of the residents attended which mum really enjoyed. Since she has been at Beechwood the staff have looked after my mum so well. I can not thank them enough.

Staff are always helpful and communicate with everyone. Happy and cheerful too. Managers also take time to interact with residents and do their best at all times.

My experience with Beechwood Residential Care Home has been excellent. My mum has been living there for just over 12 months. She has received the best care possible. All the staff are extremely caring to both my mum and me. They are very supportive, and I must say, always cheerful in what has been an extremely hard two years for everyone, and they have managed to keep all the residents safe during the worst of the pandemic. I would thoroughly recommend Beechwood.
