My mother in law arrived over a year ago and was very weak and not really expected to last much longer. The care home have looked after her so well and she is still with us. While she is very poorly with advanced dementia and unable to appreciate the care herself, as a family we are confident she is being looked after extremely well. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the home always seems clean and tidy.

Caton House has been in my life since 2015 when I made arrangements for my much loved neighbour to become a resident he was there until his passing in 2015 and absolutely loved it and the staff of whom many are still there loved him. My friend of over 30 years became a resident in February of this year and too is very well looked after. For this I give 5 stars.

Despite only being resident for a very short time, my parents were treated to a lovely afternoon tea with cakes for both their anniversary and a special birthday. We were all looked after very well by the catering and caring staff, with nothing being too much trouble. In addition, all the staff at Caton have made sure the transition from their own home into 24 hour care has been a smooth and hassle free experience - more than any of us could have hoped for. Mum is loving the daily activities and is already making friends. Caton is such a caring community, we could not have chosen better for our beloved parents.
Thank you for sharing such wonderful feedback. We're so pleased your parents were made to feel special and supported from the very start, and that the celebrations, daily activities and warm community have helped them settle so well. It truly means a great deal to hear this.
I have been a resident at Caton House for over 3 years. The nurses, care staff & cleaners are very good and caring. The food could do with a "face lift" it's been similar food since I first came here. I do realise that they are catering for residents who possibly are not aware of the food, but I know what I am eating, so it makes a difference to me!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your compliments to the nurses, staff and cleaners. Your feedback is very important to us, and we take concerns like yours seriously. Please reach out to us directly so we can address your issues and work towards improving our services.
It did take her a good while to get used to her new surroundings and to feel comfortable taking part and getting involved, but it does her good and keeps her 'in the moment'. Occasionally she is to be found in her room snoozing or engaging with family/friend who've called in to see her. The staff are always attentive and helpful as I've found. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your kind feedback. It's lovely to hear how well your mum is settling and that she's enjoying choosing between activities and time with loved ones. We're pleased to know the team's support is helping her feel comfortable and engaged.
Mother in law has recently moved into your home, we are so impressed as to how she has settled in, your home is so welcoming with all staff being very friendly and kind. Your home is so clean and the activities are brilliant. M.I.L is being so well looked after, we are so grateful, thank you x

Meet the Team (2)

My journey into the health and social care sector began after I earned a First-Class Honours degree in Art and Design from Loughborough University. Shortly afterwards, I made the decision to pause my creative career to care for my grandfather, an experience that revealed a deep passion for supporting others and ultimately shaped the direction of my professional life.
Since 2009, I have worked within the care sector, specialising in luxury care homes and holding roles such as Commissioning Home Manager and CQC Registered Home Manager. Being entrusted with these positions has given me a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to deliver exceptional standards of care, always placing residents at the heart of every decision. I have developed a strong appreciation for the responsibility, trust, and leadership required to create environments where people feel safe, valued, and truly supported.
My passion, dedication, and determination stem from a simple belief: everyone deserves to be treated with the same dignity and compassion I would expect for my own family. As Home Manager, I will be involved in every aspect of the home, overseeing safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance while ensuring a consistently positive, person-centred approach.
Enriching the lives of others is my greatest joy, and my proudest achievement is being able to look back on my career and feel proud of the individuals I have helped. I believe it’s not the days in our lifetime that matter, but the lives we touch each day that are most important.

My main responsibilities are to create a relaxed, safe and happy environment for our residents to enjoy a full range of activities, either in large groups, small groups or on a 1-1 basis.
We do lots of singing and have regular entertainment, visitors from local schools join us, and we play bingo, do arts and crafts, yoga, darts and hoopla, to name a few!
We also celebrate our residents' birthdays, throwing big or small parties (whatever they prefer) for their families and friends to enjoy with them in the comfort of their homes.
I love helping our residents to enjoy their time here as much as they can and also to provide comfort when they need it.
