Park View Residential Care Home

It is easy to say everything is good when things are running smoothley, a true reflection of a place is what happens when things are not going well. Mum became ill whilst in PV and had to go into hospital, sadly she could not return as she needed more intensive care, and reluctantly we had to find a new home for her. Because PV set a very high bar, we found it very difficult to find somewhere with the same level of care, cleanliness and respect. We made the decision to keep Dad at PV during this time and the care and attention given to him was wonderful. We were very reassured during a very difficult time for us, that Dad was being looked after and given the support he needed at that time

Plenty of grab rails in the corridors for the service users who loose there balance. Entertainment was really good and mum enjoyed having a sing song. There's a hairdressers in the carers home and mum had a wash and blow while there. There's plenty of coffee/tea and cake through the day. Mum will be going for another stay. Thank you.

Respite Care. My partner has had rolling respite care x 4 times for invaluable lengths of time at Park View. He refuses to consider any alternative. He feels safe, valued and comfortable. The staff are kind and respectful. As his full time carer at home, peace of mind is invaluable and I am reassured he is comfortable and cared for

My dad is staying at Park View for rest-bite.Park view stands out from other care homes we have experienced. The home is lovely and the staff treat the residents with dignity and respect. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff have made alot of effort to help my dad settle in. The food at meal times has some great home cooked options. The staff spend time doing activities and encouraging my dad to engage in group coffee afternoons. There's great communication and I can't thank the staff and manager enough for what they do. My dad is a lot happier since staying here.

My dad has recently been staying at Park View as rest bite with the hopes of it becoming permanent. My dad is 59 and has frontotemporal dementia which isn't as common as other types of dementia and he's also very young to have this. He's previously tried another care home that unfortunately couldn't meet his needs and this lead to us caring for him at home. He's also had home carers that struggled to meet his care needs. Park view is a home from home. It's clean, modern and has a homely feel and atmosphere. My dad has settled in way better than we could have hoped for and I believe this is down to the warm and friendly welcome he's had from the staff. They treat him with dignity and respect and have made so much effort to get to know him and meet his care needs. We feel he is safe, happy and looked after here. The management and staff here are brilliant. Trusting someone else to look after your family member is difficult but Park View have made that easy and we trust them 100%. Thanks

My friend has been in this home about 5 years. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Also the activities she always enjoys.

Thank you to all the wonderful team at park view for mums care. Her health is monitored by the staff and kept a close eye on, of which I am very grateful. The team have become part of our family and are a great support especially for keeping me informed with daily updates whilst i am on holiday.

The home puts on lots of activites and the food is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, they make Christmas and other occasions very nice for each individual family.

Can't express how much we love Park View, from the min we walked in we knew this was the place we wanted. Been to a few care homes and only thing I can say this one is outstanding. Thank you to you all.

Lovely place, care is fab, very clean. Hearts of gold people that work here. Lots of things for them to do. It's just amazing. Rooms are brilliant. Food is fantastic.

Overall I think your service is very good but for the cost it could be better. Your residents are ill, old and frail. I get the impression some of your carers don't. But most of them do.

I can't thank the staff at Park View for making it possible for my Nan to be able to attend my wedding in October. The staff did her hair, got her dressed and accompanied her to and from the venue. This took the stress out of the day for myself and my mum as staff were on hand for anything my nan needed. Thank you Park View- you are a great team and I/we can't thank you enough xxx

My mother is a resident of your care home on Sicey Avenue, Sheffield S5 0EN. She has been there for over six years and we are very happy with the support and care she is given. The management and staff are very friendly, and genuinely interested in her family - always asking about them, and are very welcoming when she has visitors. The building itself is kept very clean, as are my mother's clothes, which are washed daily. Management and staff all know my name and my family. We definitely made the right decision when choosing this home, which provides all my mother's needs.

My mum is in Park View and my daughter was getting married (on a Sunday). The home facilitated a carer to travel to the venue, stay with Mum during the ceremony, photographs, and canapes, then accompany her back to the home. They also arranged to get her ready, do her hair and dress her in her outfit. Without the staff going above and beyond for her, as a family it wouldn't have been possible. We will be forever grateful for making this happen.

My mother was cared for at Park View Care Home with dignity, understanding and affection by all staff, from the care team to the catering & domestic staff, all of whom were friendly & affectionate towards her. She was included in the various activities, even when she was unable to understand or contribute to them, which was both thoughtful & beneficial. She received attention from medical staff when necessary & we could not have asked for better care for her at the end of her life.

Its early in dad's stay, but he seems to be settling down. The care to date as been excellent.

My father was in Park View for respite for 8 weeks. It is a excellent place to stay. He was looked after by brilliant staff who were all superb at their job's and enjoyed his stay there. It put myself and the rest of my family at ease knowing he was in such a great place. I would recommend it to anyone who were wanting to look for a care home for one of their family.

Mum had a nice relaxing week at the care home and she said that the staff had all been very good to her. Food was nice she said and the rooms were all lovely and warm.
