Park View care home offers beautiful spaces for residents, including a light-filled atrium, a café and spacious bedrooms with ensuite wet rooms. The home was shortlisted as a finalist in the Caring UK Awards 2023 for North Care Home of the Year.

Park View provides residential, dementia and respite care, which can be booked in advance. The team follows Sanctuary Care’s enriching lives framework, based on six senses that promote happiness and fulfilment - achievement, belonging, continuity, purpose, security and significance.

Residents enjoy gardening in the home’s vegetable plot and cooking sessions led by the chef. Activities are shaped by residents’ meetings, which have inspired seaside trips to Cleethorpes Beach and animal visits, including Shetland ponies. Other favourites include gentle exercise, live music, community outings and pampering in the hair salon.

Residents also take part in Motion Games, joining other care homes for mini-Olympic activities such as bean bag throwing, parachute games and badminton - many recreated at Park View. Family involvement is encouraged, with themed events like a Disney party where staff children joined residents for singing and dancing. A private Facebook page keeps families connected.

Proud to be veteran-friendly

Park View has achieved Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) status, supporting the practical, emotional and social needs of the armed forces community. The VFF is a collaboration between Royal Star & Garter, Royal British Legion and NHS Veterans’ Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA).

Very pleased with all aspects of Park View Residential Care Home. My mum has been a resident for ten weeks, and her general health and well-being have vastly improved. She is content and clearly thriving. The family have peace of mind that Mum is secure in a happy place.

Auntie is so happy here, she is clean and tidy and eats lots more than she used to. The staff are friendly to her and us. We feel comfortable chatting to staff about aunty and asking for an update on how she is doing. The meals look great and she seems to like them. It's great and she seems to like
them. It's good to see her mixing with other residents too. All round 100% happy!

Since moving to this home my aunt is like a new person. She has gone from being curled up in her room alone to socialising, communicating and joining in with the home's various activities. It's so good to see some of her old character back and it's entirely down to this place!

My 85-year-old wife does not, I fear, appear to have been an ideal resident as a result of her advancing dementia. However, she is being treated with the utmost care and consideration despite her rejection of assistance on many occasions. I admire the patience of the staff in some quite trying circumstances.
Well done by all.

My sister had to go to Park View last November, she is now a permanent resident there. They have been really nice to her as she has Dementia and learning problems. She is happy there and seems settled. All the staff are really nice and kind, I'm glad I picked Park View for her.

Mum has been here since April 2024. At first, she was very unsettled and upset but the staff have been excellent in everything they do for her. At first, when she came in every time we went to see her she wanted to come home, now when we take her to appointments all she wants to do is come back, she
loves it. The activities are second to none, this week she has been dancing and there have been therapy ponies in as well. We as a family are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.

Since placing our auntie here we have seen a huge change in her. Her memory is much better. The home is like a hotel. There are always activities on, theme days. There's an onsite cafe and hairdresser. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. In my line of work, I attend a lot of care homes and
I must say this home blows the rest out of the water. Couldn't recommend them more. Thank you for welcoming us all.

An amazing place.
After leaving hospital my aunt was brought here and the difference in her health and well-being is off the scale.
She is encouraged to mix and socialise and her mobility is better than it has been for a few years.
Fantastic staff. Always ready to help or share advice.

Our aunt only arrived here last month but wow! Such a huge difference in her, she is smiling more, clean and engaged with us and the staff. Her appetite is better and she is on the whole living a much better life than in her previous care home. She spends time in the lounge talking to other residents
and staff. The staff have been awesome, so patient and caring. They really spend as much time as possible interacting with residents and it's lovely to see!

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Overall I am very satisfied with the care provided. The carers are all very kind to my friends who speak highly of them. I do sometimes question if enough consideration is given to the fact that she is virtually blind with very little vision. Does anyone ask if she wants the radio or TV on? She can't
see or reach her clothes in the wardrobe but the untidy state I find it in when I visit seems to indicate she has been in the robe. This could be due to impatience and a want of independence on her part. As she gets increasingly confused and can't rely on what she tells me. I think the home does a very good job in difficult circumstances.
Reply from Kate Yates, Communications and Content Specialist at Park View Residential Care HomeThank you for your kind words about our team at Park View. The team are excellent at supporting our residents to be as independent as they can be, which is important to so many of them, in particular, your wonderful friend - she even has her own voice-activated device so that she can turn on her TV and radio independently. And of course, we are always here for her with round-the-clock care and support, as we are for all of our residents.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.751)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.751) out of 10 for Park View Residential Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 34 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 34 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.751 for Park View Residential Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (312 Excellents x 5) + (85 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 405 Ratings = 4.751
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park View Residential Care Home is based on 34 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 34 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
